As 2008 commenced, there was not a person in the Land of the Extreme who didn’t plan on making sure this would be his
year. For Chavo Guerrero and others who made such a bold resolution, however, 2008 didn’t exactly start off according to
plan.
Kelly Kelly had spent much of the final months in 2007 fighting off The Miz’s attempts to make her life a living hell. She
had done a good job until recently, earning unexpected victories against her opponents, but the self-proclaimed “chick
magnet” found a way to get to the blonde with Layla & Victoria.
Tuesday night, The Miz took Layla and added co-WWE Tag Team Champion John Morrison to his team of three to take on Kelly,
Shannon Moore & Jimmy Wang Yang. Thanks to the help from her supporting cast, Kelly was able to start off 2008 the right
way when Yang pinned The Miz. This win makes it two straight for the duo of Moore & Yang, who defeated the WWE Tag Team
Champions two weeks ago. If things continue in this direction, gold may not be The Miz & John Morrison’s color this year.
Colin Delaney took part in his second match ever, in as many Tuesday nights. And if he didn’t think
his first match against Shelton Benjamin could have been worse, he was wrong. Big Daddy V made a meal out of Delaney, just
moments after the athlete admitted how nervous he was in an interview with Tazz.
Speaking of Delaney’s opponent from last week, Shelton Benjamin continued to prove to our fans that he is ECW’s “Gold
Standard” when he defeated James Curtis. Benjamin remains undefeated since joining the ECW roster. With three
Intercontinental Championships and two WWE Tag Team Titles on his résumé, Shelton is ready to add the ECW Championship to
his collection of gold.
Weeks after Chavo Guerrero unexpectedly assaulted the ECW Champion, a retribution-minded CM Punk scored a count-out
victory over his newfound rival on ECW on Sci Fi. Seeking to straighten things out with Guerrero on the first day of the
New Year, the Straightedge Superstar doused Chavo’s chance at a future ECW Title Match. Under the mandate of ECW General
Manager Armando Estrada, the pugnacious Mexican Superstar would receive an ECW Title Match if he could defeat Punk on
Tuesday night. But before their encounter, Chavo commenced the first edition of ECW in 2008 by addressing his
reprehensible actions that ended Punk’s 2007 on a sour note. Before the bellicose Superstar could even finish, a fiery CM
Punk interrupted and marched to the squared circle for a face-to-face confrontation. With the man he assailed two weeks
earlier now standing before him, Chavo revealed his essentially envy-based motivations. Citing how the world has been
singing the praises of the Straightedge Champion as a rising star, Chavo argued that he is already a top caliber
competitor, former champion and – as part of Guerrero’s New Year’s Resolution – soon to be a champion in 2008. “You’re
nothing but a stepping stone for me,” Guerrero proclaimed, speaking directly to CM Punk. “In 2008, I’m going to be a
champion again.” The actions of ECW’s tattooed titleholder, however, would speak much louder than Chavo’s brazen boasts
later in the night. Having competed across the globe and touting the namesake of one of wrestling’s most revered families,
Guerrero experienced exactly why Punk is considered to be the future of sports-entertainment. The athletic, aggressive
contest seesawed at each moment until both Superstars spilled to the outside. This blow-for-blow brawl at ringside quickly
became a race to re-enter the ring before the referee’s count reached 10. With just a split second separating him from his
foe, Punk evaded Chavo, slid back inside the ring and landed one more kick to defeat his veteran opponent by count-out.
The Straightedge Superstar initiated 2008 with some much needed retribution against Chavo and continued the success he saw
for most of 2007. Still, though Guerrero is now devoid of an ECW Title Match in the immediate future, has the
Chavo-focused fire been fully extinguished from the eyes of the ECW Champion?

The duo of Jimmy Wang Yang & Shannon Moore had been on a roll lately against WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz & John
Morrison, but their luck ended during tonight’s 15 Minutes of Fame Match. The Miz & Morrison tied Yang & Moore with one
decision each in 15 minutes; therefore the Champions retain their Tag Team Titles. Coming within a split second of the
gold, Wang & Moore displayed their greatest effort, but it wasn’t enough to unseat The Miz & Morrison.
An injured Colin Delaney bravely stepped into the ECW ring for the third time, and told Tazz he’s hurt so badly he
probably shouldn’t have ventured out of bed. After two brutal matches against Shelton Benjamin and Big Daddy V, it’s no
surprise the third time was not a charm against Mark Henry, either. The World's Strongest Man demolished Colin, but will
the newcomer be back for more?
Elsewhere in the Land of the Extreme, former best friends Kelly Kelly and Layla mixed it up, old school style on ECW this
week. The two beauties got down and dirty in a Diva Dance Off, hosted by Lena Yada, who made her ECW debut. Layla and
Kelly strutted their stuff for the crowd, but just when our fans were about to cheer for a winner, Lena entered herself
into the Diva Dance Off. Layla and Kelly looked on in shock as Lena declared herself the winner.
Finally, our fans got another look at Kofi Kingston. The Jamaican Superstar has promised he’s bringing trouble to
paradise.
The story is a common one: The virus you just can’t shake. For ECW Champion CM Punk, that viral strain is Chavo Guerrero,
his most recent chronic challenger. In both of his two chances to earn a match for the ECW Championship he lusts after,
Chavo came up short. In his first attempt at surpassing the so-called mere “stepping stone” between him and the gold,
Chavo was stuck outside of the ring when the referee finished his 10-count. His shoulders stayed off the mat in his most
recent effort as well, as he got himself disqualified from the competition. Adding the exclamition point, CM Punk applied
the G.T.S. to the hopeful challenger. Perhaps what Guerrero needs to do is learn how to stop beating himself before he
carries out his goal in defeating CM Punk, something he has not been able to accomplish since the turn of the year. When
the two Superstars clashed for the first time since Chavo attacked Punk in his main event match against Montel Vontavious
Porter, the champion wanted to redeem a rough end to 2007. And so far, he has done just that. After proving himself to
Chavo multiple times, Punk could theoretically focus his attention to the new challenges that await him, but he better be
careful if he does. Once his back is turned to Guerrero, anything can happen.

Shelton Benjamin once again proved he’s ECW’s “Gold Standard” on Tuesday night when he defeated Nunzio. “Ain’t no stopping
me now!” Benjamin proclaimed after his victory. It seems Benjamin really is speaking the truth. Since making his ECW debut
last November, Benjamin has been undefeated. What’s next for the three-time Intercontinental Champion and two-time Tag
Team Champion who has secured a spot in the Royal Rumble? Clearly, Benjamin’s eyes are set on gold in 2008.
The Highlanders paid a visit to the Land of the Extreme on Tuesday night, facing off against WWE Tag Team Champions The
Miz & Morrison. The Tag Champs, who successfully defended their titles last week on ECW, once again reigned supreme,
beating Rory & Robbie McAllister in non-title competition.
Colin Delaney returned to ECW for the fourth time when he faced another one of SmackDown’s giants, Kane, on Tuesday night.
The Big Red Machine quickly demolished Delaney. Will the youngster have enough guts to revisit the Land of the Extreme for
a fifth time?
Fans caught another glimpse of Kofi Kingston, the Jamaican Superstar who has promised to bring trouble to paradise.
Kingston will finally make landfall on ECW next week. Just what does he have in store for Tuesday nights?
“Third time is a charm.” The phrase was spoken by both ECW Champion CM Punk and his bitter challenger Chavo Guerrero in
reference to their latest scheduled clash – their third in as many weeks. Yet when the evening was over, Chavo was the man
whose words proved true. In back-to-back weeks, the Straightedge Superstar had fended off Chavo, denying an ECW Title
Match opportunity for the former Cruiserweight Champion. Chavo was still a leech on Punk’s body, however, as he pushed for
another bout between the two. Before his scheduled contest, CM Punk served as the special guest on the first ECW edition
of “The Cutting Edge,” which kicked off the evening. The host and World Heavyweight Champion began his show by comparing
CM Punk to a younger version of himself. The Straightedge Superstar then joined Edge in the ring and responded by saying
he knows he would defeat the Ultimate Opportunist if Edge ever were to challenge him. However, as soon as Punk finished
announcing he could beat anyone – including Edge – Chavo Guerrero rushed to the squared circle to firm up a deal for a
third contest with an ECW Championship Match at stake. As soon as the accord was straightened out, Chavo shoved his
opponent, leading to an all-out beatdown on the Straightedge Superstar. Suffering from a taste of his own medicine, CM
Punk found himself the victim of a count-out when the final bell sounded. Guerrero wasn’t able to achieve the win without
assistance, however, as Edge surprised Punk at ringside with a blow using the gold. The strike stunned the ECW Champion
long enough for Chavo to pick up the victory and become No. 1 contender. Can Chavo make it two wins in a row when he faces
CM Punk next week? With Edge in his corner, will Chavo have more tricks up his sleeve to ensure a regime change?

With all eyes on new ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero, Shelton Benjamin could be targeting Guerrero’s newly-won gold. Benjamin
proved once again there ain’t no stopping him, as he was victorious in an Over-the-Top Rope Challenge on ECW, edging out
fellow Royal Rumble participants. The “Gold Standard” showed his athleticism on Tuesday night, and his winning streak
could continue into the 30-man game of endurance Sunday at the Rumble. Is it Benjamin’s time? Can he win the Rumble match?
Kofi Kingston made his ECW debut. The Jamaican Superstar was victorious over David Owen, and looked ready to take
care of any trouble that may arise in the Extreme paradise called ECW.
Kelly Kelly, Layla and Lena Yada competed in a Best Body contest on Tuesday night, and the Divas looked even more perfect
in HDTV. Our fans declared Kelly Kelly the winner through their cheers, but Layla and Lena weren’t pleased. Layla knocked
Kelly Kelly face-first to the mat, with Lena by her side.
An injured and bandaged Colin Delaney returned to ECW for a fifth time, facing another one of sports-entertainment’s
giants, The Great Khali. Delaney, who stood frozen in fear at the sight of Khali, was demolished after a vicious Vise
Grip. Will the persistent Delaney have the guts to return to ECW again?
On the very first edition of ECW on Sci Fi in 2008, Chavo Guerrero made a personal oath to earn championship gold this
year, promising that CM Punk would be his “stepping stone” to achieving that accolade. Tonight in Virginia, Chavo made
good on his resolution and became the new ECW Champion, with a decent amount of help from his newfound “familia” – a
family that includes the Rated-R Superstar. As the collaborative Guerrero clan explained earlier in the night, it was to
be “Chavo’s night” and the entire family was on-hand to witness it. With World Heavyweight Champion Edge in his corner
(and Curt Hawkins, Zack Ryder and SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero all watching carefully from the locker room),
Chavo boasted a heavily unfair advantage – an advantage that was only amplified with the last minute pre-bell announcement
that the title match would be a “No Disqualification” encounter. Intent on retaining the gold, Punk fought off almost
every attempt to skew the favor. Still, the Straightedge Superstar simply could not overcome the clear disadvantage, as
were the circumstances when Edge essentially stole the World Title at Armageddon. An aggressive CM Punk even came within
inches of putting away Chavo by landing his GTS on the challenger. Suddenly, Edge sprang from ringside, entered the ring
and speared Punk to the mat. Three counts from the referee later, the Straightedge Superstar was no longer the gold-bearer
in the Land of the Extreme. For two weeks straight, CM Punk had prevailed against his foe – by count-out and
disqualification, respectively. Just last Tuesday, the X-factor (in this case, “R-factor”) proved to be Edge, who
physically involved himself in the third Punk/Chavo war and aided Guerrero in garnering a count-out victory. The Rated-R
Superstar’s actions would seem to be enough for Chavo to embrace the romantic coupling of Edge and Chavo’s aunt, Vickie –
one big happy family, as seen on Friday night. On ECW on Sci Fi, the Guerrero family bond grew stronger as the nefarious
Ultimate Opportunist shared some of his signature tactics with Chavo, giving him the opportunity to snare the ECW Title.
Since the fall of 2007, CM Punk fought to retain the gold against all-comers and all odds. But on this night, the combined
calculative effort of Chavo, the World Heavyweight Champion and Vickie proved just too insurmountable. Though it took a
handful of others to successfully steal the gold, Chavo (and company) ultimately ended the Straightedge Superstar’s reign
that carried the Land of the Extreme into the New Year. Chavo Guerrero is, in fact, the new ECW Champion, but Punk is
certainly not the type of Superstar to hide and lick his wounds. Just as the former champion retaliated against Chavo
after his cowardly attack on the last live ECW of 2007, the Straightedge Superstar will likely be looking for
retribution … and along with it, the ECW Title.

Kane and Shelton Benjamin faced off in one-on-one competition. Last week, ECW’s “Gold Standard” was victorious over the
Big Red Machine during the Over-the-Top Rope Challenge. This week, Benjamin took a giant Kane boot to the face, then fled
the ring, with Kane winning by count-out. Has the Gold Standard finally met his match? Is Kane enough to silence Benjamin?
Fresh off her Best Body Contest win last week, Kelly Kelly put her in-ring skills to the test against Victoria. In Kelly
Kelly’s case, the blonde didn’t have more fun Tuesday night, as former Women’s Champion Victoria laid her out with a
Widow’s Peak, while Lena Yada and Layla watched at ringside. After the match, Lena and Layla – obviously still angry about
losing last week’s Best Body Contest – rushed into the ring and left Kelly face-down on the mat.
A battered and heavily-bandaged Colin Delaney finally found a savior of sorts on this week’s ECW – Tommy Dreamer. It was
the newcomer’s sixth time in the ECW ring, and after losing another match – this time a brutal Handicap Match against WWE
Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison – Delaney was aided by the ECW Original. Has the youngster finally caught a
break – and a found an ally – in Dreamer?
C.M. Punk faced Elijah Burke on ECW. Despite being robbed of the ECW Title last week, the Straightedge Superstar
got right back to his winning ways, as he was triumphant over Burke after a devastating GTS. Punk’s party continued later
in the night when he crashed Chavo Guerrero’s Championship Fiesta.
The Land of the Extreme’s newest Superstar, Kofi Kingston, continued to garner the support of our fans, as the Jamaican
Superstar won his second straight match. Kingston is happy to take on any trouble that may arise in Tuesday night
paradise. What challenges await Kingston?
New ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero’s celebration for last week's golden accomplishment started out like a national holiday.
The mariachi band was playing, our fans in Pennsylvania were in attendance and the guest of honor was in the ring. It was
an all-out fiesta. But all good parties have to end sometime, and CM Punk made sure of that. Unable to attend due to his
girlfriend, SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero's, injuries, World Heavyweight Champion Edge was celebrating via a
pre-recorded video. He also sent a highlight reel of Chavo's career for the ECW Champion to enjoy. The Ultimate
Opportunist thanked Chavo for giving Vickie her dream: A family of champions between ECW and SmackDown. The fiesta quickly
turned into a siesta when the Straightedge Superstar, disguised as a member of the band, revealed his identity and
pummeled the champion with a guitar. The colors of Chavo’s party were shadowed by one, as Guerrero looked up to the sole
sight of Punk holding his gold. During their string of contests, Chavo called CM Punk a stepping stone between him and the
title. He seems more like a boomerang than a stone, though, as he keeps coming back. Guerrero is no stranger to this
behavior, as he perpetually pursued Punk until he had the ECW Championship. Our fans should not expect any different from
the Straightedge Superstar in his new role as challenger. One thing to keep in mind, though, is that Edge, Vickie and the
rest of the Guerrero clan could be there next time. And when you mess with Chavo, it’s a family affair.

Revenge was the theme Tuesday night in the sold-out American Bank Center, whether Superstars were looking for payback in
retribution of lost gold or for damaged pride. For months, yo-yo-like Colin Delaney has been the epitome of effort, rising
back to his feet after every time he’s been knocked down. His desire – in spite of physical consequences – has been
admirable, to say the least. Still, parents may hesitate to call him role model material for fear of their children
experiencing similar pain. Last week, fortunes changed when Tommy Dreamer rushed to Delaney’s side to fight off attacks
from the WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz. This week, Dreamer promised to exact revenge on the champions,
but he fell short when he took on the Shaman of Sexy in one-on-one action. When The Miz attacked Delaney outside of the
ring, it distracted Dreamer long enough for Morrison to cover him. Regardless of the ECW Original’s loss, things are
looking up for the hopeful Superstar, now that he has a friend in a high place.
Kelly Kelly and Michelle McCool make up another recent friendship based on watching each other’s backs. Their rivals
prevailed once again, though, and may continue to now that Victoria & Layla appear to have drafted Lena Yada’s services.
Lena proved to be valuable when she tripped up Kelly, leading to Victoria's cover and three-count on the blonde.
Kofi Kingston remained undefeated since joining the roster. His win against James Curtis marked his third in as many tries
as he has stayed true to his promise of overcoming any trouble he may come across in paradise.
Joey Styles sat down with Stevie Richards, who announced great news – well, great for
everyone except those who stand in the way of the recovered competitor. The ECW Original is primed to make his return to
ECW on Sci Fi next week. His homecoming takes place nine months after his injury that landed him in the hospital for
throat surgery.
Joey Styles believes the final Most Extreme Player of 2007 is ECW Original Stevie Richards. In the interest of full disclosure, I have known Stevie for almost
15 years and we have always been good friends. So much so, that my home has always been open to him. Stevie visited me,
Mrs. Styles and 4-year-old Joey Styles Jr. over the holidays and unfortunately the first thing the three of us noticed was
the long, thick, pink surgical scar across Stevie’s throat. What many of our fans don’t know is that in May 1997 while
wrestling for the original ECW, Stevie suffered a broken neck. Stevie was competing in an Anything Goes (we didn’t call it
Extreme Rules back then) Four Man Elimination Match in Buffalo, N.Y., and just pinned Sandman, leaving Stevie and future
Hall of Famer Terry Funk as the final two competitors in the matchup. Immediately after eliminating Sandman, the Hardcore
Legend, Funk, dropped a steel guardrail on top of Stevie, which struck him right in the back of his neck. Stevie lay
motionless with no feeling in his arms and legs for over 20 minutes. With no health insurance, Stevie continued to
semi-main event ECW events with herniated discs in his C5, C6 and C7 vertebrae. On Dec. 22, 1997, unable to endure the
pain any longer, he underwent an Anterior Cervical Fusion. During the surgery, one of Stevie’s vocal cords was paralyzed.
Stevie, who rose through the ranks of ECW by virtue of his microphone skills as well as his in-ring abilities, was
rendered unable to speak above a raspy whisper for three months until March 18, 1998 when he had a thyroplasty implanted
in his throat to enable him to speak again. Intense voice therapy followed and Stevie was able to speak again, but his
voice was still very raspy and expected to remain that way for life. The surgeon and Stevie’s personal physician both
advised Stevie to hang up his wrestling boots and find a new profession … immediately! Not exactly the merriest way to
spend Christmas. As we all know, Stevie refused to relinquish his lifelong dream of wrestling for a living and returned to
the ring as soon as he found a physician to reluctantly clear him to compete again. Fast-forward nine years to April 2007.
Still hoping to regain his original voice, Stevie had an injection into his throat. Having hemorrhaged his surgically
repaired vocal cords in the ring months earlier, the treatment was unsuccessful and surgery was necessary again as Stevie
had difficulty breathing while working out, let alone wrestling. Stevie’s difficulties breathing worsened weekly until
finally in October, Stevie endured the first of five surgeries that would continue through the remainder of 2007. The
purpose of these surgeries was to open up Stevie’s airway, which had slowly and steadily been closing since April, and
then to attempt to restore Stevie’s voice to the way it had sounded prior to the initial injury in 1997. Fortunately for
Stevie, these delicate procedures were performed by Dr. Steven Zeitels of Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard
Medical Center. Stevie is still recovering from his last surgery and his voice almost sounds as it did when I first met
him in 1994. I expect Stevie to return to the ring in early 2008 with little fanfare, if any. However, Stevie himself, his
family and his close friends will know what he endured to once again resume his dream of being a WWE Superstar. Win or
lose, every match is a personal victory for Stevie Richards.
Hope floats for CM Punk as the No. 1 contender to the ECW Title sunk ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero in the first-ever Gulf of
Mexico Match in sports-entertainment history. The Straightedge Superstar had a great view of the Mexican coast, as CM Punk
peered at his submerged rival floating in the Gulf of Mexico and looked ahead to his approaching title opportunity at No
Way Out. Last week, a masquerading Punk turned Chavo’s celebratory fiesta into a siesta by landing a guitar over the
champion’s brow. This week, the title-hunting CM Punk addressed the sold-out arena in Corpus Christi, Texas, by demanding
a championship rematch against Guerrero later in the night. Oozing into the arena, Chavo glazed over CM Punk’s immediate
championship challenge and assured the Straightedge Superstar that he would receive his rematch live on pay-per-view at No
Way Out. But to retaliate for the previous week’s embarrassment, the ECW Champion explained that he and a close friend of
the “Guerrero family,” ECW General Manager Armando Estrada, colluded to create a unique contest between the enemies for
ECW on Sci Fi. In a truly rare encounter, Punk would need to dunk the champion in the Gulf of Mexico to be named the
winner – and that’s exactly what he did. The two began their exchange of offense in the ring, then soon struggled out of
the American Bank Center where they battled waterside. Enduring a torrent of blows from the champion and a near suplex
into the murky depths, Punk fought back with a GTS that sent his foe off the ledge and into the Gulf with a splash. After
turning Chavo into an ECW Cham-piñata last Tuesday then pinning Guerrero in tag action on SmackDown, the tattooed ECW
Superstar continued his successful campaign to reclaim the gold this week.

One week’s losers could be another week’s winners. It’s something to keep in mind heading into No Way Out, especially for
ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero, who has suddenly found himself in a spell of very bad luck.
Change of momentum has not only taken place in the race for the ECW Title; it has also tolled on another shade of gold as
WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz watched their control over Tommy Dreamer & Colin Delaney dwindle. Just
before their contest on ECW commenced, the confident duo labeled Dreamer & Delaney a couple of “losers.” The underdogs
didn’t look very much like losers Tuesday night, though. In a rematch of their battle from a week ago, Dreamer and
Morrison set to face off one-on-one with their respective allies looking on in each of their corners. Reversing Morrison’s
own maneuver, Dreamer caught the Shaman of Sexy off guard and countered with a DDT. The ECW Original followed that with
the pin. Afterward, however, the champions released their frustrations, attacking the pair.
One of the highlights of the evening came earlier when another ECW Original made his return to the squared circle. After
nine months of recovering from major throat surgery, Richards was back and as ready as ever. He wasted no time in
continuing the success he had last spring, cruising to a victory in his return.
Speaking of success, that’s all Kofi Kingston has had since making the Land of the Extreme his personal paradise. Facing
Mike Knox proved to be no different as the Jamaican Superstar earned his fourth consecutive victory on ECW.
Kelly and Layla traded luck as the blonde earned her way to a victory. The win comes after falling to Layla on numerous
occasions. Despite having Lena Yada in her corner, which has been helpful in recent weeks, Layla came up short on a night
of turned tables.
Still nursing a sinus infection, well spread rash and residual effects of a jellyfish’s sting, Chavo Guerrero added
another ache to his body on ECW on Sci Fi, courtesy of CM Punk. With only a handful of days to go before their collision
for the ECW Championship at No Way Out, the Straightedge Superstar put Chavo out with the Go to Sleep, giving the champion
the chance to at least dream of holding the gold beyond this Sunday night. Before his CM Punk-imposed nap, a sniffling
Guerrero (not “sniveling” – though he’s known for that, too) opened ECW on Sci Fi by addressing the man who sent him for a
dip in the Gulf of Mexico last week. Still ailing from his painful encounter with a scyphozoan, the self-proclaimed
“Mexican Warrior” claimed he didn’t want to wait for No Way Out; Chavo wanted to face CM Punk on Sci Fi. However, fishily
timed was ECW General Manager Armando Estrada’s interruption, as the GM ruled against Chavo’s mid-sneeze demands and
instead placed Punk in a tune-up match against the 400-pound Mark Henry. The ECW Champion, on the other hand, was given
the night off to recuperate from his itching spell and nasal drip. Oddly enough, all his body scratching seemed to subside
at the end of the night when Chavo appeared in the corner of the World’s Strongest Man for Henry’s main event collision
with CM Punk. Shouting at his tattooed rival from ringside, Guerrero looked on as Punk used his speed, dexterity and
martial arts education to weaken his burly opponent. The Straightedge Superstar continued this barrage until the World’s
Strongest Man managed to wrap his girthy paws around Punk, choking him out on the ring ropes. Henry’s refusal to break the
hold after ECW official Scott Armstrong’s count caused the referee to disqualify the mighty Superstar. Moments later, CM
Punk recovered and used his agility to force Henry to the outside, while Chavo got closer to the action from the apron.
This enabled the No Way Out challenger to drag Guerrero into the ring and execute his signature knock-out blow – which
could very well be the champion’s end on Sunday. Just as a mariachi garbed Punk did weeks ago after crashing Chavo’s
fiesta, the Straightedge Superstar raised the ECW Title over the sleeping body of the current champion. This lasting
image is not unfamiliar to ECW fans – especially in the latter half of 2007 with CM Punk as ECW Champion.

San Diego, California
Tuesday was a night in which experience prevailed, as the “Nature Boy” Ric Flair made a memorable appearance just one day
after being named to the 2008 WWE Hall of Fame class.
By contrast with the 16-time World Champion, the gutsy Colin Delaney's inexperience took a toll on him when he faced The
Miz in one-on-one action. The last time Delaney, Tommy Dreamer, The Miz and John Morrison were all called to the ring,
Dreamer emerged victorious with the hopeful Superstar in his corner. The luck changed tonight, however, when the
self-proclaimed "Chick Magnet" notched a win and added insult to injury – or more injury to injury – by beating down
Delaney and Dreamer with the help of his co-WWE Tag Team Champion.
Another young Superstar was in action, but had a better outing. Kofi Kingston continued his winning streak, remaining
undefeated since joining the extreme brand. So far, ECW has truly been a paradise for the Jamaican competitor. After his
victory, Kingston stood in the middle of the ring with Joey Styles and announced, "ECW to me is like paradise ... if
there's trouble in paradise, you know Kofi Kingston is going to take care of it."
Stevie Richards, on the other hand, is as experienced as Superstars get. The ECW Original earned his second consecutive
victory since making his return to the ring following his recovery from throat surgery. Richards is once again forced to
prove himself. So far, it doesn’t appear this go-around will be any different from the other times Stevie overcame
adversity and succeeded.
Speaking of experience, Maria has taken advantage of a major opportunity to pose for Playboy. Kelly Kelly congratulated
her on her contract and said she wouldn’t be opposed if she had the chance to pose, one day.
Victorious alongside ECW’s CM Punk, the “Nature Boy” proved why he is Hall of Fame bound in a rare and successful visit to
the Land of the Extreme – just 24 hours after being named the first inductee into the 2008 WWE Hall of Fame. On Raw, an
emotion-swept Shawn Michaels revealed that his friend and mentor, Ric Flair, would join his fellow sports-entertainment
elite at the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on the eve of WrestleMania XXIV. Seemingly on top of the world, a humble yet
elated Flair came to ECW on Sci Fi in a mindset to celebrate – until met by a pair of ECW’s more audacious Superstars:
Elijah "The Dope from No Hope" Burke and Shelton Benjamin. With intersecting agendas on ECW, both "The Dope from No Hope"
and Benjamin
interrupted the Nature Boy’s genuine, earnest address to the sports-entertainment world (Flair’s first since being named a
Hall of Fame inductee). Like countless others before them, Burke and the “Gold Standard” boasted of their own talents
while debasing the 16-time World Champion. Flair fired back with some words of his own along with his signature “Wooo!”
but was met by a jaw-droppingly disgraceful slap to the face by Benjamin. Almost instantly, Flair retaliated with fiery
chops and quick strikes, but was soon downed by his young adversaries. Clearly disgusted by the display, a competition
craved CM Punk charged to the ECW ring and came to the aid of the legend. Benjamin and Burke retreated, but soon
resurfaced in ECW General Manager Armando Estrada’s office where they were given the chance to redeem themselves in a main
event tag match. Redemption would certainly be the premise for the tag team encounter, but in Flair’s favor. The uniquely
skilled tandem of the Nature Boy and the Straightedge Superstar – a team of champions – brought a relentless fight to
their remarkably athletic opponents. Victory in their united camp, Flair ultimately stood triumphant with Punk, who
respectfully raised the hand of his partner – the soon-to-be only active Superstar in the WWE Hall of Fame.

A Mixed Tag Team Match started the evening as Kofi Kingston & Kelly Kelly took on Santino Marella & Layla. Considering the
blond beauty has struggled against her rival Diva throughout recent months, the Jamaican Superstar was a smart competitor
to team up with. Set on ridding his ECW paradise of any trouble, Kingston has yet to lose a match since joining the
extreme brand. Tonight was nothing different. Kelly’s three-count pin of Layla brought her a second consecutive victory
against her former fellow Extreme Exposé member, leaving Layla to ponder what she must do to contain the blonde once
again. For Santino, the loss simply rubs salt into the wound already opened by his anger over his girlfriend, Maria,
posing in Playboy.
Tommy Dreamer helped Colin Delaney experience his first taste of victory on ECW on Sci Fi in their first attempt at
teaming up. The duo faced their all-too-familiar rivals, the WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz, in hopes of
getting the better of the overconfident pair. When the ECW Original got the pin, the arena exploded in celebration. No one
was happier than Delaney, who enjoyed his first win since strutting to ring to suffer painful defeats at the hands of
giant after giant. The win was extra special, coming at the expense of the champions, who will put their gold on the line
next week against Dreamer & Delaney to prove this contest was nothing more than a fluke. If the WWE Tag Team Champions are
wrong, be ready to see the young, small-framed Superstar hoisting a title in the air alongside the fighting Original the
next time ECW on Sci Fi airs.
Dreamer’s fellow ECW Original Stevie Richards picked up a win as well, as he defeated Mike Knox en route to his third
straight victory since returning to the squared circle. Richards has showed no signs of slowing down after his nine-month
recovery period from throat surgery.
Maintaining the determination that’s earned him an ECW Title reign before, CM Punk endured two top-caliber Superstars to
get to one gold- bearing rival next week: Chavo Guerrero. At the end of the night, the “Mexican Warrior” looked on at his
future challenger with disdain, but next week, they will lock eyes inside the same ring for the ECW Championship. Before
the Straightedge Superstar could earn the right to lock up with the same man who defeated him for the title just one month
ago, Punk needed to trump both Elijah Burke and Shelton Benjamin on Sci Fi. In a fast-paced, exceptional display of three
extremely athletic competitors’ skills, CM Punk, the “Guiding Light” and the “Gold Standard” collided in a Triple Threat
Match with a golden opportunity on the line. The added twist to their encounter: ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero had an ideal
view, perched beside Joey Styles and Tazz at the announce table. Just one week after a tag team collision involving the
trio of No. 1 contender hopefuls and “Nature Boy” Ric Flair, it was every Superstar for himself in a high-stakes three-way
dance. For the first time ever, fans were treated to a unique in-ring exchange between Benjamin and Burke, the individual
responsible for bringing the Gold Standard to ECW. It also presented an opportunity for Punk and Benjamin – two of ECW’s
most gifted competitors – to collide for the first time since the cry of “ain’t no stoppin’ me now” echoed in the Land of
the Extreme. With unwavering tenacity and skill, CM Punk scored the victory by landing his GTS on the Experience. His win,
however, instantly prompted Guerrero to propel himself from commentary to the ring where his taunts aimed to get inside
the head of his familiar challenger. But, after Chavo was dunked in the Gulf of Mexico and guitar-smash serenaded by Punk
weeks ago, it may not be possible to hinder the Straightedge Superstar’s focus. The enduring saga between Punk and the
“Mexican Warrior” will add the next installment on the next ECW on Sci Fi – and the Land of the Extreme’s richest prize is
at stake. The champion may have gotten the best of Punk the last time they met at No Way Out, but no one will soon forget
Chavo’s series of losses to his tattooed rival.

Gold remained around familiar waists on Tuesday night, leaving hopeful Superstars with missed opportunities … but perhaps
only for now. In the evening’s first contest, WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz put their titles on the line
in a rematch, still reeling from their loss to Tommy Dreamer & Colin Delaney the previous week. Vowing not to fall to the
ECW Original and the young athlete again, Morrison & The Miz followed through on their promise and left the arena the same
way they went in: As champions. Though discouraging to Delaney who is fresh off his first taste of victory, the defeat may
serve as motivation next week for his championship rematch. For now, Colin has only this loss to think about, which came
when he and Dreamer were disqualified on his account. Next Tuesday, however, Dreamer & Delaney will face the WWE Tag Team
Champions in an Extreme Rules Match, allowing Delaney to use whatever he wants and giving the challengers an advantage
thanks to the ECW Original’s experience.
Following the WWE Tag Team Championship Match, Stevie Richards aimed to prove he can compete on a level better than the
one he left off from. Despite returning from nine months of recovery due to throat surgery, the ECW Original had been able
to enjoy three wins in a row. That streak came to a halt when he faced the self-proclaimed “Gold Standard” of ECW, Shelton
Benjamin. Still, if Richards can endure serious surgery, he surely can endure a tough loss. As for Benjamin, he has
enjoyed a great deal of success since joining the Land of the Extreme, and nobody has been able to slow him down, let
alone stop him. The night marked one week closer that Benjamin is to the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania.
The hottest confrontation of the night came when Layla tried to put Kelly Kelly in her place, in the locker room. After
the blond bombshell called her rival a liar when she claimed she was once asked to model for Playboy, Layla slapped her
and the two commenced in a fierce catfight. Kofi Kinston, along with ECW officials, separated the Divas, but it’s hard to
imagine they are done settling their differences.
Kane defeated James Curtis, but did so with an extra spectator in the audience. Chuck Palumbo circled the ring, stalking
the Big Red Machine during the contest. After reeking plenty of havoc on his former friend Michelle McCool and Jamie Noble
on SmackDown, what could be Palumbo’s intentions?
In his quest to reclaim the gold that was essentially stolen from him by Chavo Guerrero – and the “Guerrero family” – the
Straightedge Superstar has dunked the ECW Champion in the Gulf of Mexico, turned Chavo’s celebration fiesta into a siesta
and even pinned his rival on several occasions. Still, despite being outclassed and outwrestled for weeks, the
self-proclaimed “Mexican Warrior” had CM Punk’s number in Cleveland, as Chavo managed to secure a critical victory in his
war with his tattooed challenger on ECW. In an exclusive WWE.com video last week, Chavo continued to argue that CM Punk is
merely a “stepping stone” for Guerrero’s supremacy. On Tuesday night, however, the Straightedge Superstar proved that he is
much, much more than that – unless stones are suddenly able to come within inches of becoming ECW Champion. In fact, just
one week after trumping both Shelton Benjamin and Elijah Burke in a Triple Threat Match for No. 1 contendership to the ECW
Title, Punk posed a serious threat to Chavo’s reign. “I am a champion. I was a champion before, and tonight, I'm going to
earn it for the second time," Punk told Lena Yada earlier, just moments before his match. Executing move after move, the
challenger exhibited his heart and skill – that of a champion – and nearly beat the Mexican Warrior on several occasions.
After nearly winning with a small package out of Chavo's Three Amigos suplex trio, Punk managed to fight back from a
tornado DDT and a series of other moves. Ultimately, the crafty ECW Champion and his opponent found themselves on the top
rope, battling for position. Punk's plummet left him dangerously vulnerable as the resourceful champion then landed his
signature Frog Splash for the pin. Throughout all of 2008, the Straightedge Superstar and his enemy have focused their
energies on ECW’s richest prize – and ridding one another from the Land of the Extreme permanently. Chavo and Punk are
more than familiar with one another’s in-ring abilities, techniques and, perhaps most importantly, their flaws. And,
despite the defeat Punk experienced on ECW, one can expect that the determined Superstar who craves competition will be
looking for an opportunity to illuminate those flaws of Chavo’s in future confrontations. While only time will tell if the
world has witnessed the culmination of Punk and Guerrero’s war, it is assuredly not the end of the Straightedge
Superstar’s quest for gold.

ECW General Manager Armando Estrada found himself inspired by this week’s WrestleMania Rewind edition of Raw, as WWE’s
three brands were represented in one ring. Looking ahead to WrestleMania XXIV, Estrada announced that Superstars from Raw,
SmackDown and ECW will compete in a special 24-Man Battle Royal on March 30. But there’s a twist. “Immediately following
that match, the winner will face Chavo Guerrero for the ECW Championship,” Estrada announced.
Who will earn a chance at ECW gold? One participant in the WrestleMania XXIV 24-Man Battle Royal will be The Great Khali,
who faced ECW Original Stevie Richards on Tuesday night. After Khali quickly picked up the win, Mike Knox entered the
ring. In a scene reminiscent of last week’s WWE Mobile on AT&T Exclusive, Knox viciously attacked Richards, leaving him
battered in the middle of the ring.
CM Punk qualified for the WrestleMania XXIV Money in the Bank Ladder Match by defeating Big Daddy V. During an impressive
showing before his hometown crowd, Punk nearly lifted the 500-pounder for a GTS, but his knees buckled under the weight.
After a strong fight against the giant, Big Daddy V ended up outside of the ring, leading to Punk’s win via count-out.
Before celebrating with his fellow Chi-Town natives, Punk got his trademark GTS in, but against a furious Matt Striker,
who was livid the Straightedge Superstar won the spot in the Money in the Bank Match.
The Miz & John Morrison retained WWE Tag Team gold for the second week in a row, this time in an Extreme Rules Match on
Tuesday night. Tommy Dreamer & Colin Delaney’s shopping cart full of Extreme Rules props – including a Chicago Bears
helmet and a garbage can – weren’t enough to earn tag team gold when The Miz & Morrison each kept a foot on the ropes
while pinned. Then, the champs drove Dreamer through a table and Miz picked up the pin to retain the gold against their
underdog challengers.
Kofi Kingston kept his momentum alive in a match against Deuce. Talk about trouble in paradise – Domino and Cherry rooted
for Deuce from ringside, but their cheers fell on deaf ears as Kingston remained undefeated.
Elijah Burke thought he could tackle the monster Festus becomes once the bell rings. No such luck for Burke, as Festus’
rage was ignited at the sound of the bell, leading to another win.

The Land of the Extreme was in full-force WrestleMania mode in this super-competitive sports-entertainment season as ECW
Champion Chavo Guerrero and the rest of the roster tried to set the stage for The Granddaddy of Them All.
Three of the Superstars who will be competing in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania XXIV faced off in the
midst of a Six-Man Tag Team Match, hoping to gain an early advantage. CM Punk seemed a bit concerned in the locker room
before the contest, as he observed his dazed partner, Festus. But his other associate for the night, Jesse, assured the
Straightedge Superstar he wouldn’t be disappointed once the bell rang. He was right, as the three Superstars overpowered
The Miz and two other Money in the Bank contestants, John Morrison & Shelton Benjamin. The win also helped to fuel Jesse &
Festus, as the duo is primed to defeat Morrison & The Miz on SmackDown and become WWE Tag Team Champions.
Earlier, the evening kicked off on fire – literally. Kane exploded into the ring where he extinguished Elijah Burke. The
Big Red Machine will no doubt be one of the favorites to win the brand-wide 24-Man Battle Royal at ‘Mania. While he
certainly has a size advantage over most, he is not the biggest Superstar in the massive, over-the-top rope contest. Matt
Striker has already promised that Big Daddy V will shake the foundation of the Florida Citrus Bowl. The Great Khali is
sure to make some waves as well. There is really only one word that fittingly describes this destructive clash of titans:
Humongous.
Later in the night, Kofi Kingston cruised to another victory on ECW on Sci Fi. The first-ever Jamaican Superstar has yet
to be defeated since joining the extreme brand. Tuesday was just another part of the chapter as his unique style and
attitude helped him to pin James Curtis. Might Kofi find himself in the 24-Superstar mix at WrestleMania?
Following ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero’s massacre of Colin Delaney in the frail fighter’s in-ring opportunity for a WWE
contract, it seems like there will be no entrance music in the near future for the hopeful Superstar. More importantly, it
appears that the “Mexican Warrior” was intent on sending a message about his coveted title on ECW on Sci Fi: Despite the
unknown challenger that awaits him in the 24-Man Battle Royal, it will be Chavo’s music that plays in victory at
WrestleMania XXIV. Oddly enough, it was the impending battle royal itself which got Delaney into serious trouble with the
veteran Guerrero. The ECW Champion had to literally squeeze past the 400-pound Mark Henry to get into General Manager
Armando Estrada’s office where Chavo learned some bad news for his reign. At WrestleMania, the 24-man over-the-top rope
war to determine who will meet Chavo for the gold later that night will include Henry, along with several of the most
massive contenders in sports-entertainment. Appearing less gladiator-like, the Mexican Warrior showed signs of severe
caution until a much more slender (and seriously tender following JBL’s concussion causing assault on Raw) Delaney arrived
for a meeting with the GM to negotiate his future in ECW. Looking to give Chavo a chance to blow off 24 Superstars’ worth
of steam, Estrada laid down an interesting challenge to Delaney: The ECW Champion against the Superstar wannabe; if
Delaney could beat Guerrero, he’d receive a WWE contract. Despite the non-title clause that was quickly added to their
match, reluctantly Delaney seized the opportunity to finally have his official place in sports-entertainment … along with
a Colin-centric entrance video montage. It was a matter of wrong place, wrong time for the meek competitor. Unfortunately,
it didn’t get much better later in the night. With Delaney’s extreme mentor, Tommy Dreamer, still recovering from their
Extreme Rules Match for the WWE Tag Titles one week earlier, it was up to the slender contender alone to step into the
ring with yet another champion this week. But as he told Tazz in an interview just moments before the biggest match of his
(pending) career, Delaney was willing to put his body on the line if it meant fulfilling his dream. To Colin’s credit, the
hopeful grappler withstood perhaps some of the most brutal punishment since first appearing on ECW on Sci Fi in
mid-December. He even mounted a brief offensive over the crafty ECW Champion. However, the Mexican Warrior smelt blood and
made an example out of his already wounded prey, delivering a relentless slew of moves learned from his family lineage.
Chavo landed his signature holds along with a tumultuous Gory Bomb for the victory. In one match in a single evening,
Colin Delaney's lifelong dream of becoming a WWE Superstar was shattered at the hands of the ECW Champion. And, unless the
typically merciless Estrada can find it in his blackened heart to give Delaney another chance, the bandage-swathed athlete
may never be seen in the Land of the Extreme again. After securing the decisive win, the ECW Champion sauntered past his
fallen victim’s broken body toward the locker room. But, while proudly admiring his glistening title, Chavo also stepped
closer to his defense against one of 24 hungry competitors on The Grandest Stage of Them All. With individuals roughly
five times the size of Delaney in the battle royal – like The Great Khali and latest addition, Big Daddy V – the Mexican
Warrior will need to be prepared for anything and anyone in less than two weeks. At WrestleMania XXIV, these Superstars
won’t be seeking a contract to compete; they’ll be looking to become the next ECW Champion.

Just five days before The Granddaddy of Them All, Superstars got a taste of what’s in store for them Sunday at
WrestleMania XXIV.
Shelton Benjamin and Carlito looked to sneak a peek at the money that will dangle above them when they face each other
along with CM Punk, John Morrison, Chris Jericho, Mr. Kennedy and Montel Vontavious Porter with a title opportunity on the
line. If the Money in the Bank Preview Match is any indication, Carlito has some work to do before heading to Orlando,
Florida, as the self-proclaimed “Coolest” Superstar in WWE fell to the “Gold Standard.”
Kelly Kelly & Stevie Richards teamed up to take on Layla & Mike Knox. Kelly’s ex-boyfriend and the
ECW Original have traded attacks in the locker room during the past several weeks, though the two had never met before in
the squared circle. Kelly and Layla have had their own intense rivalry brewing for months, ever since Layla assisted The
Miz in making the blonde’s life a living hell. Knox & Layla came out on top this time as Kelly's ex pinned Richards to get
the win. The two Divas will see each other again at WrestleMania as Lumberjacks in Playboy’s BunnyMania Match, pitting
Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix & Melina against Maria & Ashley.
24 other Superstars got a pay-per-view
preview. ECW on Sci Fi kicked off with a 24-Man Tag Team Match, featuring all participants of WrestleMania’s 24-Man Battle
Royal, which will broadcast exclusively on WWE.com. Sunday’s humongous contest will determine who faces Chavo Guerrero for
his ECW Title later that night. Snitsky earned the victory for his team at the expense of Tommy Dreamer, who sprang up
from the canvas and wasted no time in challenging Guerrero to a non-title bout later in the night.
A white flag has many meanings; among others, it can be flown to signify surrender or the final lap in an auto race. Over
the last few months, ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero has proven that he will never do the former. But if the final ECW on Sci
Fi before WrestleMania XXIV was any indication, the “Mexican Warrior’s” title reign may be past the white flag and headed
toward the finish line. It appeared as if Chavo would have a fruitful, perhaps even easy, evening in the Crown Coliseum.
As the show opened, the men who will compete in WrestleMania’s 24-Man Battle Royal squared off in a gigantic tag team
match. The ECW Champion no doubt looked on, scouting the two dozen men who will have a chance to earn an ECW Title
opportunity this Sunday. But moments after the match ended, Chavo ran into Tommy Dreamer – who was pinned by Snitsky to
end the tag team battle – and Colin Delaney in the locker room. The “Mexican Warrior” took the opportunity to mock Dreamer
& Delaney, but the ECW Original and his young protégé weren’t about to take Chavo’s comments lightly. Springing into
action, the banged-up Dreamer challenged Chavo to a match later in the night. The surprised champion scoffed and refused,
until Dreamer questioned his heart – using the oft-beaten and much-beleaguered Delaney as an example of someone who had
more than the ECW Champion. This got the “Mexican Warrior’s” Latino blood boiling, and he agreed to meet Dreamer in a
non-title match by telling the ECW Original that “this will be the closest you ever get to the ECW Championship ever
again.” Unfortunately for Chavo, those words may have been more wishful than prophetic. Chavo did indeed meet Dreamer in
the main event, but there was an added surprise: The other 23 Battle Royal participants surrounded ringside to get a final
look at the ECW Champion. This development turned the bout into a de facto Lumberjack Match, as the Battle Royal
participants made sure both men stayed in the ring. In the end, they may have ended up getting a little too involved, as
moments after Chavo pinned Dreamer following a Frog Splash, all 23 Superstars climbed into the ring and began brawling in
a possible preview of what’s to come at WrestleMania XXIV.

While some WWE Superstars, such as CM Punk and Kane, have been basking in the glow of what transpired on Sunday night in
Orlando, Fla., many were experiencing the effects of a WrestleMania XXIV hangover, especially Chavo Guerrero. The
self-proclaimed “Mexican Warrior” lost his ECW gold to the Big Red Machine, and it seems he won’t rest until he earns it
back.
Stevie Richards’ recent stroke of misfortune continued. The ECW Original was one of 23 Superstars who lost the Battle
Royal to eventual ECW Champion Kane at WrestleMania. Then on ECW, the rivalry between Mike Knox and Richards came to a
head when they met in one-on-one action for the first time. For the last few weeks, these two ECW Superstars have been
attacking each other in locker room. When they met in tag action last week, Knox & Layla were victorious over Richards &
Kelly Kelly. Knox’s winning streak continued this week when he picked up a solo victory over the ECW Original. Where will
their rivalry lead next?
April Fools’ Day paid a visit to the Land of the Extreme when General Manager Armando Estrada said he was ready to offer
Colin Delaney a contract to be a WWE Superstar. Too bad for Delaney it was April 1, and instead of a contract, Estrada
presented Delaney with a giant challenge: Big Show. Delaney would earn his coveted contract if he could beat the 7-footer,
but the youngster didn’t stand a chance. In mere minutes, Big Show picked up an easy victory, then offered a warning to
The Great Khali, who confronted The World’s Largest Athlete the night before on Raw.
There was a new look for the Land of the Extreme as ECW on Sci Fi hit the air Tuesday night. New ECW Champion Kane fired
up the evening when he made his way to the ring, hoisting the title he won Sunday night after overcoming 23 other
competitors in a WrestleMania Battle Royal, then defeating Chavo Guerrero in one-on-one action that same evening. To most
ECW Superstars, Kane proved on Sunday that he deserves the Extreme top spot. But former champion Guerrero doesn't fit into
that "most" category – a point he made clear when he announced that he had convinced ECW General Manager Armando Estrada
to pit the "Mexican Warrior" & Shelton Benjamin against Kane & CM Punk in Tuesday's main event. By guaranteeing himself a
rematch, Guerrero also ensured that he would have the first opportunity at unseating Kane as champion, despite Punk – who
won WrestleMania's Money in the Bank Ladder Match – voicing interest in challenging the Big Red
Machine for the title moments earlier. In a tag contest where Chavo was intent on proving himself against Kane, and
Shelton Benjamin wanted to show that he is still deserving of his "Gold Standard" label, the new ECW Champion & the
Straightedge Superstar would do all of the asserting. Punk hit the GTS on the bitter Benjamin, then picked up the
three-count to give himself and Kane the victory. Resentfully eyeing the new champion and Punk from a safe distance up the
ramp, it's clear that the self-proclaimed "Mexican Warrior" has a problem with no longer being on top of the extreme
world. However, pushiness has always been a strong trait for the Superstar. In fact, it has already landed him an ECW
Title opportunity, for which he and Kane will sign a contract next Tuesday.

For weeks now, Colin Delaney has faced a multitude of obstacles in his quest to earn a coveted WWE contract. Last week on
ECW, it was none other than The Largest Athlete in The World, Big Show, who put a quick and crushing end to his contract
dream. Tonight, the young upstart was matched up against possibly his only ally in WWE – Tommy Dreamer. Despite their
friendship, things weren’t going to be easy for Delaney. As ordered by ECW General Manager Armando Estrada, if Dreamer
lost the match he would be fired. So, the veteran did what he had to do and took care of business against Delaney. Better
luck next time, kid.
Ever since ascending the ladder at WrestleMania XXIV, Mr. Money in the Bank CM Punk has enjoyed life at the top. Last week
he partnered with ECW Champion Kane to defeat Chavo Guerrero & Shelton Benjamin in tag action. Tonight, Punk defeated WWE
Tag Team Champion The Miz. Early in the match, Miz’s tag team partner John Morrison tried to get involved – but before the
Shaman of Sexy could pull any shenanigans, ECW referee Scott Armstrong ordered him to leave ringside. Even with that
distraction, Punk was able to make The Miz Go to Sleep. What’s next for the Straightedge Superstar who wields the ability
to challenge for a championship match at any time?
Kofi Kingston, who sits at No. 22 in the WWE.com POWER 25, was also in action against Domino. A few weeks ago, it was
Domino’s partner, Deuce, who experienced trouble in paradise – or the other side of the tracks in his eyes – at the hands
of the Jamaican Superstar. Tonight, Kofi completed the sweep to keep his ECW unbeaten streak alive.
Coming off his second straight THQ Superstar Challenge victory at WrestleMania XXIV, Elijah Burke continued his winning
ways by making quick work of ECW Original Nunzio by quickly finishing him off with a vicious clothesline. With his winning
ways back on track, what’s the next big thing for the ECW Superstar?
Kane and Chavo Guerrero have signed their names on the dotted line, making their rematch for the ECW Title at Backlash
official. But after what happened on ECW on Sci Fi, the Big Red Monster may want to think twice about that signature. Even
with three men – Guerrero and his friends Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder – on the opposite side of the table from him, Kane
didn’t seem worried about the contract signing. After all, he did defeat Chavo in eight seconds at WrestleMania to win the
gold – a fact the ECW Champion firmly reminded the self-proclaimed “Mexican Warrior” of. But that all quickly changed. As
Kane signed, Chavo told him he was “signing away the ECW title.” And when the Big Red Machine questioned his challenger,
Chavo simply stated that at Backlash, he would have someone watching his back. With that, a large man in a suit made his
way to the ring. As the Big Red Machine turned to stare that man down, he was jumped by Chavo, Hawkins & Ryder. Kane
fought them off as best he could, but when the unknown newcomer stepped into the ring, the numbers game became too much.
As Guerrero, Hawkins & Ryder pummeled Kane, their new associate picked up the ECW Championship and blasted the Big Red
Machine squarely in the head with it. To add insult – and further injury – to the situation, Hawkins, Ryder & the new
associate held Kane down on the contract signing table, allowing Chavo to put the ECW Champion through it with a frog
splash. Then, and only then, did the challenger sign the contract – celebrating and leaving Kane in the wreckage of the
table after doing so. Later in the night, it was announced that on the next ECW on Sci Fi, Kane will be together with his
brother – World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker. But even though they stand united against Chavo and his “familia,”
they’re still at a now 5-on-2 disadvantage in that fight. So with Backlash just weeks away, it seems as if the scales have
been tipped back in the favor of the self-proclaimed “Mexican Warrior.” While no one outside of the familia seems to
know who the new associate is, it’s obvious that his mission is clear: Make sure Chavo Guerrero leaves Baltimore on April

Brotherhood was the theme in the Land of the Extreme on Tuesday night in the United Kingdom, as Superstars relied on
teamwork to lead their way to success.
With Joey Styles set to take on a new role with WWE.com, the longtime ECW commentator handed the reigns to his successor,
Mike Adamle. Shortly after, Adamle called his first contest: An Eight-Man Tag Team Match.
In that eight-man battle, CM Punk, Kofi Kingston, Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore took on Deuce, Domino, Shelton
Benjamin and Elijah Burke. Yang & Moore were anxious to redeem their second straight loss to WWE Tag Team Champions John
Morrison & The Miz on SmackDown. On the other side, Deuce & Domino looked to recover from their losses in solo action
against the Jamaican Superstar. After a high-flying contest, Kingston racked up his second pinfall on Deuce, giving the
rest of his team a victory against their cocky opponents. Plenty of heated rivalries boiled over during the Eight-Man Tag
Team Match.
The hottest part of the night was undoubtedly the Diva Dance Off. Kelly Kelly, Eve, Layla, Maryse and Lena Yada each had
30 seconds to show off their best moves for our fans. After their performances, Tazz measured the response of the London
audience, which clearly chose Kelly Kelly as their favorite Diva for the night.
Tommy Dreamer entered the squared circle after the Diva contest, set to battle Mike Knox - but he didn’t stay for very
long. ECW General Manager Armando Estrada announced that our fans don’t want to see the ECW Original in action; they want
to see Colin Delaney. Dreamer left the job to the hopeful Superstar, who quickly fell victim to the much larger Knox.
ECW on Sci Fi took a field trip to the United Kingdom this week, and in front of a capacity crowd of 17,422 inside
London’s O2 Arena, it was the Brothers of Destruction – ECW Champion Kane & World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker – who
stood united in defeating WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison in a non-title bout. Since winning their
respective titles at WrestleMania XXIV, Kane & Undertaker have taken on all comers – including each other. But in London,
our U.K. fans were in for a treat as the brothers teamed up for the first time ever in ECW to take on perhaps the top
twosome in WWE, Miz & Morrison. Prior to the match, the Chick Magnet and Shaman of Sexy formulated a game plan – divide
and conquer. Unfortunately, it was the WWE Tag Team Champions who were divided in the early going, as the Brothers of
Destruction took out their aggression on the stars of WWE.com’s Dirt Sheet. Miz & Morrison finally found their opening when
Miz clipped Kane’s left knee, allowing the champions to work on the 7-footer’s damaged limb. But, the team only got
halfway through their plan before the ECW Champion fended off the attack and tagged his brother to a raucous reaction.
When The Phenom stepped into the ring, it was the beginning of the end for the “Tuesday Night Delight” and his teammate.
Following a brief offensive flurry, Kane rejoined the fray, helping his brother hoist Miz & Morrison up for simultaneous
chokeslams that nearly drove the champions through the mat. With the Chick Magnet out of commission, The Deadman hoisted
Morrison over his shoulder and dropped him with a vicious Tombstone Piledriver; three seconds later, the WWE Tag Team
Champions were headed back to the Palace of Wisdom with a mark in the loss column. In their very first trip to the Land of
the Extreme as a tandem, Undertaker & Kane proved that they are focused and ready for their title defenses at Backlash. But
with a bout with Batista looming on Friday Night SmackDown for The Phenom – not to mention Backlash challengers Edge &
Chavo Guerrero and the rest of the familia looming over their shoulders constantly – will the Brothers of Destruction be
able to avoid the road to self-destruction?

Joey Styles handed the reigns over to Mike "Who?" Adamle, who will commentate with Tazz from this point, forward.
Veteran ECW
commentator Joey Styles has moved from behind the announcers’ table and joined WWE.com, as announced on ECW on Sci Fi on
Tuesday 4-15-08. His transition to the global medial realm continues the momentum of a revamped WWE.com team. “I am very
excited about my new position with WWE.com,” said Styles. “The Internet is the most important and versatile media ever
created, and will one day be the most profitable media in the entertainment industry.” Styles brings invaluable experience
with him, having been a commentator since debuting with ECW in 1993. Adding to his impressive resume, he was also the
creator and manager of ECWwrestling.com. “Executive management needed a pro wrestling insider who had been on camera, on
the road and had online management experience,” Styles explained. “I was a perfect fit.” Brian Kalinowski, General Manager
of Digital Media for WWE is enthusiastic about the addition. “We’re thrilled to have Joey Styles join WWE.com. Joey is a
true industry veteran and a pioneer in the online sports-entertainment industry. I’m looking forward to the new creative
vision Joey will set for our fans on WWE.com.” One of Styles’ primary goals is to spice up the Web site by bringing in
more content exclusive to WWE.com. He intends to add more innovative programming like The Dirt Sheet and Santino’s Casa.
“My first order of business,” he joked, “is to cancel Tazz’s column.”

Tommy Dreamer & Kelly Kelly met Mike Knox & Layla in mixed tag team action on Tuesday night. The Divas’ ongoing rivalry
heated up the ECW ring, but the blonde bombshell was in the winning corner after pinning her former friend, Layla. As
Kelly Kelly & Dreamer celebrated their win, Knox attacked the ECW Original, who has recently been seen aiding youngster
Colin Delaney. After Dreamer was assaulted, Kelly Kelly ran to Dreamer’s side in the ring as Knox stared them down.
Jimmy Wang Yang faced John Morrison, as their respective tag team partners, Shannon Moore and The Miz, who made a guest
appearance at the announce table, looked on. WWE Tag Team Champions Morrison & The Miz defeated Yang & Moore on SmackDown
two weeks ago, but their winning streak came to a halt when Morrison fought solo, as Yang picked up the victory on ECW.
Kofi Kingston maintained his undefeated streak. The Jamaican Superstar was victorious again, this time against Shelton
Benjamin, the “Gold Standard.” It seems the happy-go-lucky Kingston just can’t be stopped when it comes to taking care of
trouble in Tuesday night paradise.
Nunzio met the World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry in the ECW ring. After an intense staredown, Henry was victorious over
his opponent, who he outweighs by 210 pounds and 6 inches.
Edge kicked off his special edition of The Cutting Edge on ECW with a bang, as ECW Champion Kane was the guest of honor.
The show also ended with a bang – the sound of Kane's skull being driven into the canvas. The host spent much of his time
targeting the Big Red Machine’s difficult life and his dysfunctional family background, comparing it to his
self-proclaimed superior “familia.” Much to Kane’s surprise, though, Edge thanked him for ruining his wedding day with
Lita and injuring him years later, leading Edge to meet the woman of his dreams, Vickie Guerrero. After announcing his and
Chavo Guerrero’s plans to regain the ECW and World Heavyweight Titles at Backlash, the Rated-R Superstar’s true intentions
behind The Cutting Edge were revealed when the “familia” - along with newly acquired bodyguard Bam Neely - attacked Kane.
The destruction seemed to last forever for the Big Red Machine, as the Rated-R Superstar and the self-proclaimed "Mexican
Warrior" clearly had no intentions of waiting for Sunday. Along with Neely, Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder, Edge held Kane
down as Guerrero went to work on his leg with a steel chair. The Ultimate Opportunist lived up to his nickname as he helped
Chavo gain a big advantage heading into the ECW Championship Match at Backlash. No doubt he sent a message to his
opponent, and Kane's brother Undertaker.

Still seething after his loss at Backlash, Chavo Guerrero was joined in the ring by his bodyguard, Bam Neely, to exact
revenge on Kane tonight. While Guerrero & Neely picked up a win over the Big Red ECW Champion, turning the self-proclaimed
“Mexican Warrior’s” fortune in his favor, Colin Delaney was again unlucky in the Land of the Extreme on Tuesday. Delaney,
who is still seeking a WWE contract, was in Tommy Dreamer’s corner when he faced Mike Knox. While the ECW Original picked
up a tag team win against Knox last week, he had one thing on his mind: revenge. Dreamer was looking for retribution for
Knox’s attack last week, and for Knox’s decimation of Delaney the week prior. But when youngster Delaney distracted
Dreamer during this week’s match, Knox was able to come out on top again when he threw Delaney into the steel stairs, then
pinned the ECW Original for the win. Next week on ECW’s 100th episode, down-on-his-luck Delaney will face General Manager
Armando Estrada for a coveted ECW contract. Will Estrada just add to Delaney’s list of beatings, or will the youngster’s
dreams finally come true?
One ECW Superstar whose dreams continue to come true week after week is Kofi Kingston. The Jamaican Superstar met Shelton
Benjamin for the second week in a row on ECW and continued his winning streak. If the Gold Standard can’t stop the
undefeated Kingston in two tries, who will?
There was a lesson to be learned this week on ECW, and Mick Foley was the student in Matt Striker’s Classroom. When Your
Teacher questioned SmackDown’s new color commentator’s knowledge of wrestling technicalities, Foley had a lesson of his
own for Striker: Mr. Socko. The Hardcore Legend exited the classroom with some familiar parting words for Your Teacher:
“Have a nice day!”
Chuck Palumbo drove his custom chopper to the Land of the Extreme where he met Mr. Money in the Bank, CM Punk. Palumbo
backed the Straightedge Superstar into the corner of the ring and would not listen to the referee’s five-count, leading to
Punk’s win by disqualification. After the bell, Punk attacked Palumbo, but the motorcycle-riding Superstar leveled Mr.
Money in the Bank.
Chavo Guerrero’s wound of losing the ECW Championship to Kane at WrestleMania XXIV was further ripped open at Backlash. On
ECW, however, the self-proclaimed “Mexican Warrior” may have started the healing process. Since those eight forgettable
seconds in Guerrero’s career occurred at The Granddaddy of Them All, Chavo has had his mind focused on one thing –
defeating Kane and winning back the ECW Title. For weeks, he found ways to make the ECW Champion’s life a living hell with
the help of Edge, Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder. He also enlisted the services of Bam Neely to be his own personal
bodyguard. While Chavo hasn’t been able to find a way to beat Kane one-on-one, he got to experience what it feels like to
pin the Big Red Monster on ECW. With the help of Bam Neely in a Handicap Match against the pyromaniac, Guerrero wore down
his opponent and picked up the three-count. While the bruising bodyguard has certainly seen his fair share of action, this
was his debut as far as matches are concerned. Pairing up with the former ECW Champion and using his bouncer skills, the
One Man Fence also got his first taste of victory. With Backlash in the past, what lies ahead for Chavo Guerrero? Will he
earn himself another title opportunity? As his professional relationship with Neely grows, it’s hard to imagine Chavo and
his bodyguard not being a difficult tandem to slow down – one that, as evidenced on ECW, even the ECW Champion can’t
stop. What will further develop as Chavo finds ways to exact revenge on the Big Red Machine? Find out next week on the
100th episode of ECW on Sci Fi.

ECW announcer Mike Adamle offered an apology to color commentator Tazz and the
ECW fans for leaving the announce table on last week’s show. Adamle admitted he’s made mistakes, but said he’s ready to up
his Extreme game as he returned to offer his commentary. “I had no idea how hard this job was and how great the ECW fans
are,” Adamle told our audience. “I love WWE and I love working for ECW, and I will do everything, everything in my power
to be as perfect as I possibly can and bring you the best possible product you ECW fans deserve.”
History was made on the 100th episode of ECW on Sci Fi, as Colin Delaney finally earned an ECW contract. The persistence
of our fans’ favorite underdog finally paid off when he defeated none other than ECW General Manager Armando Estrada on
the historic night. Young Delaney, who has been beaten, battered and bruised week after week, for several months in the
Land of the Extreme, boldly defeated a strong Estrada to earn an his coveted contract. Delaney rolled up the General
Manager for a jubilant win, which was immediately followed by a celebration with our fans in the crowd. He then joined
Tazz to offer him congratulations in the ECW ring. “Tazz … I did it!” Delaney exclaimed. “This is what makes it all worth
it, right here!” An ecstatic Delaney continued on to thank his mentor, Tommy Dreamer, and our fans. Watch Delaney’s dreams
really come true next Tuesday when he signs his contract on ECW on Sci Fi.
Also on ECW’s 100th episode, which highlighted some of the show’s most Extreme moments throughout its history, Mike Knox
was victorious once again, this time under Extreme Rules. For the second week in a row, Knox beat Dreamer in an extremely
physical match, complete with a hockey stick, a Singapore cane, a rowing oar and guest commentary by ECW Original Stevie
Richards. After Knox brutally drove Dreamer through a folding table, he picked up the victory over the ECW Original.
Matt Striker’s lesson plan for Kofi Kingston was given a failing grade by the unstoppable Jamaican Superstar on Tuesday
night. As Shelton Benjamin offered his “Gold Standard” of guest commentary, Kingston was victorious again on ECW’s 100th
episode. The happy-go-lucky, fan-favorite is still without a loss in the Land of the Extreme, but after picking up his
most recent win, Benjamin stormed into the ring and attacked Kingston, leaving him face-down.
Kelly Kelly brought back the infamous Kelly’s Exposé, the sexy show which introduced our fans to the Diva when ECW debuted
on Sci Fi. But this special, one-night show was interrupted by Layla. Kelly Kelly’s former friend offered her a little
competition in the dance department, but the Divas’ contest turned into a catfight, which had to be broken up by the ECW
referees.
ECW Champion Kane joined CM Punk to face Chavo Guerrero & Bam Neely in tag team action. Still seething after
losing a 2-on-1 Handicap Match to Guerrero and his bodyguard the week earlier, the Big Red Machine had the help of Mr.
Money in the Bank to claim tag team victory on ECW’s 100th episode.

Whether it was a monster, a chick magnet, veterans, newcomers or Divas, the Land of the Extreme was full on conflict on
the road to Judgment Day.
It’s official – Colin Delaney has signed on the dotted line and is now an ECW Superstar. But is the youngster truly ready
for the Land of the Extreme? After his brand-new entrance music blared throughout the arena, Delaney had his first match
as an active member of the ECW roster. He faced someone who brutally beat him mere weeks ago – Mike Knox – and once again
Delaney found himself in the losing corner. But the beating didn’t stop there. Delaney isn’t the newest active member of
the ECW roster, however – Armando Estrada is. Delaney defeated the General Manager last week to earn his ECW contract, and
the super-ripped Estrada was out for revenge on Tuesday night. Fresh off his loss to Knox, Delaney remained in the Extreme
ring to face the GM. This time, a strong Estrada came out on top, leading to Delaney’s second loss of the evening. Is the
Land of the Extreme too much for Delaney to handle?
Several SmackDown Divas made a special appearance on ECW in a Six Diva Tag Team Match. Kelly Kelly, Michelle McCool and
Cherry faced Layla, Victoria and Natalya. Now that she’s single and focusing her attention on the ring (rather than Deuce
& Domino), Cherry’s proving herself as a worthy opponent. SmackDown’s shy sweetie picked up the win for her trio when she
pinned the ruthless Victoria.
Diva Lena Yada spoke to a determined Shelton Benjamin. The Gold Standard claimed that the next time he faces the
undefeated Kofi Kingston, he will beat the Jamaican Superstar. But Kingston overheard Benjamin’s comments and said, “Let
me be the first one to say ‘good luck.’” Then Kingston leveled Benjamin, leaving him writhing in pain on the ground.
It was hardly a surprise that the tension between WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison and ECW Champion Kane &
CM Punk exploded before their Title Match at Judgment Day on Sunday. In an early taste of the pay-per-view, the final ECW
before Judgment Day kicked off and closed with the four competitors involved. The Big Red Machine and John Morrison faced
off in the main event. The Tuesday Night Delight earned the victory, but that wasn't what mattered most to Morrison, whose
teammate joined him in attacking the ECW Champion after the bell. Despite the Straightedge Superstar’s attempt to defend
his tag team partner, the WWE Tag Team Champions closed out the night in celebration of their wins and their newly acquired
momentum heading into Sunday. The competitors were able to keep their cool in the first match of the night. In fact, when
The Miz entered the ring to take on CM Punk, he instructed Morrison to remain away from the squared circle. The Shaman of
Sexy obliged until he was able to celebrate The Miz’s win. Despite the current advantage held by the champions, all that
matters is who walks away with the gold at Judgment Day. Kane & Punk can hardly be counted out, as the pair proved to be a
formidable duo one week earlier when they defeated Chavo Guerrero & Bam Neely in tag team action. They gained enough
confidence that they challenged the title holders to a contest for the championship at the pay-per-view.

Kofi Kingston’s long undefeated streak came to a crashing halt at the hands of Shelton Benjamin on ECW on Sci Fi. The
Jamaican Superstar, who won every Extreme match since his ECW debut in January, lost to the Gold Standard. The third time
must be the Golden charm for Benjamin. Kingston defeated him twice on ECW, but Benjamin delivered on his vow to end
Kingston’s impressive winning streak.
In mixed tag team action on ECW, Kelly Kelly & Colin Delaney faced off against Layla & Mike Knox. Kelly Kelly dominated
over her former friend, pinning Layla to win the match. But after the bell, Knox attacked ECW newcomer, Delaney, and laid
him out in the ECW ring.
Just when Delaney’s luck couldn’t get any worse, ECW General Manager Armando Estrada marched into the ring, ordering Knox
& Layla to leave because he was about to have an unscheduled match against the youngster. As Kelly Kelly watched at
ringside, Delaney was once again battered and beaten by the ripped GM.
Just 48 hours after their tag match at Judgment Day, The Miz met ECW Champion Kane on Tuesday night. Despite a concussion,
sore back, stiff neck and constant headaches, one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions was ready to seek retribution for
being brutally chokeslammed by Kane at Judgment Day. The Miz was victorious by disqualification, but he wasn’t celebrating
when The Big Red Machine chokeslammed him once again.
Lurking deep within every champion is that special something that can’t be taught. It’s an innate fire to win that very
few posses. On ECW on Sci Fi, that burning desire was on full display as four of ECW’s elite former champions battled it
out in a hard-hitting tag match. In the end, it was Chavo Guerrero who distinguished himself among his fellow champions by
pinning Tommy Dreamer, giving the self-proclaimed "Mexican Warrior" and his partner, WWE Tag Team Champion John Morrison,
the victory over Mr. Money in the Bank CM Punk & the ECW Original. But just as Chavo proved his mettle, Big Show stormed
into the arena to remind everyone that he himself is also a former ECW Champion and should have been invited to compete in
the match. Angered by ECW General Manager Armando Estrada’s faux pas, the World’s Largest Athlete took out his aggression
on the ring full of champions. First, he viciously chokeslammed Chavo and CM Punk, and then tossed Morrison across the
ring like a rag doll. Finally, after declaring he will once again be ECW Champion, Big Show chokeslammed ECW Original
Tommy Dreamer to the canvas. At the beginning of the night, Estrada set up the tag match as a preview of the Singapore Cane
Match at One Night Stand – where every former ECW Champion will compete to determine the No. 1 Contender to Kane’s ECW
Championship. Now, with the World’s Largest Athlete added into the mix, the competition just got a heck of a lot bigger –
400 more pounds.

As May comes to an end, the world of sports-entertainment is chomping at the bit like never before. While our fans cling
to hopes of getting their hands on a million dollars, the Superstars in the Land of the Extreme are aching for One Night
Stand to arrive.
ECW kicked off with two of the competitors in Sunday’s Singapore Cane Match – Tommy Dreamer and Big Show – in one-on-one
action. Big Show was initially the forgotten ECW Champion as ECW General Manager Armando Estrada named only Dreamer, CM
Punk, John Morrison and Chavo Guerrero in the competition. Big Show made sure his presence was felt later that evening
when he attacked all four of the Superstars and declared his own participation in the Singapore Cane Match. He had a big
impact on ECW this week as well, defeating Dreamer with authority and sending a message to the other participants.
Kofi Kingston took on Mike Knox in an attempt to rebound from his first WWE loss to Shelton Benjamin. This contest didn’t
go much better, however, as he won, but didn't celebrate for long. The Gold Standard insisted on being part of the action,
pounding the Jamaican Superstar into the ground with Knox’s help after the bell. Benjamin left the squared circle with an
ear-to-ear grin.
CM Punk and Chavo Guerrero got a little preview of One Night Stand as well. With bodyguard Bam Neely in Guerrero’s corner,
the Superstars did battle once more, recalling the days when they rivaled over the ECW Championship. This time, Chavo came
out on top. Despite neither one currently holding the title, the circumstances are not much different this time around.
Both the self-proclaimed “Mexican Warrior” and Mr. Money in the Bank looked to gain an edge heading into Sunday’s contest
that would determine the No. 1 Contender to Kane’s gold.
The night’s main event pitted the ECW Champion against the WWE Tag Team Champions in a Handicap Match. The Miz looked to
defeat Kane for the second consecutive week while John Morrison hoped to overpower the Big Red Machine and make the other
hopeful No. 1 Contenders sweat. The match ended with no decision when Guerrero, Dreamer and the Straightedge Superstar ran
into the ring, leading to an all-out brawl. The scuffle ended when Big Show marched to the squared circle and cleared out
the ring along with Kane. The two monsters stared each other down as ECW went off the air, but the World’s Largest Athlete
can’t get ahead of himself just yet. He has four Superstars between him and a title opportunity.

Holla! Holla! Playa, there’s a new General Manager in the Land of the Extreme, and his name is Theodore Long. On the
former SmackDown Manager’s first night, there was plenty of action on ECW on Sci Fi.
It was CM Punk vs. Tommy Dreamer vs. Chavo Guerrero vs. John Morrison in a Fatal Four-Way Match, and Mr. Money in the Bank
proved his worth on ECW. He hit Guerrero with a GTS, earning his chance to face Kane later in the night. The Big Red
Machine was victorious over Punk, but after the match, WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison intervened. They
attacked Kane and left the Big Red Machine lying in the ECW ring.
Newcomer Matt Sydal met Shelton Benjamin, as the Jamaican Sensation, Kofi Kingston, joined Mike Adamle and Tazz at the ECW
announce table. ECW’s Gold Standard was victorious by countout, but his celebration came to a halt when Kingston rushed
the ring and a batte ensued between he and Benjamin. The Gold Standard had the last laugh, though, after he threw Kingston
into the steel stairs, leaving him writhing in pain on the ground.
Theodore Long shocked the world two weeks ago when he quit as the Assistant General Manager of SmackDown. He went on to
shake the very foundation of the Land of the Extreme tonight when he was named the new General Manager of ECW. Much to the
surprise of former GM Armando Estrada, Long was shown his new office as the night began, as per the orders of WWE’s Board
of Directors. The powers-that-be had concluded that since Estrada was now an active member of the ECW roster and had
signed himself to a highly lucrative contract, he could no longer be the man in charge. The new General Manager wasted
little time in doing what he does best – making ground breaking decisions and matches. Long told Estrada that because of
McMahon’s Million Dollar Mania, he financially could not carry the heavy contract of the former GM-turned-Superstar, but
would give Armando the opportunity to prove himself in a match against United States Champion Matt Hardy. Hardy proved why
he carries the prestigious gold, defeating Estrada with a Twist of Fate. It was then that GM Long delivered his own twist
to Estrada, calling for a second match right then – prompting Long to usher out Colin Delaney – a Superstar who had felt
the wrath of Estrada for many weeks. Delaney pinned Estrada, perhaps delivering payback for weeks of hell. Adding insult
to Estrada’s loss, the GM fired him on the spot, telling the former GM and overpaid Superstar that he would let him
wrestle, but not as a contracted Superstar – having to earn his contract back – the same treatment Estrada had given to
Delaney. The new ECW General Manager made sure his first night in the Land of the Extreme was a memorable one, showing the
Superstars of ECW that he is a man of his word. Long’s track record at the helm of SmackDown should be more than enough on
his résumé, and if his first night on ECW is any indication, Long has not lost the touch that made him a fan favorite.
General Manager Theodore Long looks to stay in charge of ECW for a long time to come, but with the upcoming Draft, will
Long’s first appearance on ECW be one of his last?

WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison retained their gold on Tuesday night, after a strong showing against ECW
Champion Kane & CM Punk. In a repeat performance of their Judgment Day tag match, ECW’s Chick Magnet & the Shaman of Sexy
once again were victorious over the Big Red Machine & Mr. Money in the Bank. Kane, who was still seething after being
attacked by the WWE Tag Team Champions on last week’s ECW, was determined to walk out of the Save Mart Center with two
championships in his giant hands, alongside Punk. But after Morrison hit Punk with a Moonlight Drive and pinned him, Miz &
Morrison retained. The Tag Champs seem to be unbeatable when it comes to defending their Extreme gold.
Evan Bourne made an impressive debut in tag team action. The newcomer paired up with Kofi Kingston to defeat Shelton
Benjamin & Mike Knox. Bourne, who said he’s spent his life wrestling throughout Japan, England and Germany, preparing to
live his dream in WWE, showed off his high-flying skills in the match, pinning Knox for his team’s win. With such a
remarkable debut, this surely won’t be the last the Land of the Extreme sees of Bourne.
ECW General Manager Theodore Long has a new assistant, a blond beauty named Tiffany. While in Long’s office, Tiffany was
visited by a very friendly Armando Estrada. Their conversation was interrupted by new GM Long, who told Estrada he had
another chance to impress him for an ECW contract, this time against Finlay. But Estrada came up short when he met the
SmackDown Superstar who loves to fight. Long gave Estrada another chance to prove his worth, but in his second match in two
weeks against Colin Delaney – the ECW newcomer who also had to earn his Extreme contract – Estrada was once again quickly
defeated by the youngster. “Armando, you just lost again. You know what they say, that the third time’s a charm,” Long
told Estrada, who was left in pain on the ECW mat. For his final opportunity of the evening, Estrada faced SmackDown’s
littlest Superstar, Hornswoggle. But Finlay’s son hit Estrada with a tadpole splash off the top rope to pick up the win.
After Estrada’s losses, Delaney joined Finlay and Hornswoggle to dance a celebratory jig in the ECW ring, but their party
was cut short when Finlay delivered a shillelagh to the face of Delaney.
WWE Divas Championship hopefuls Kelly Kelly and Victoria met in the ECW ring. Both Divas hoped to impress SmackDown General
Manager Vickie Guerrero, but it was Victoria who shined. While on the ring apron, Kelly Kelly attempted to lock Victoria
into a headscissors, but the devious Victoria knocked the ECW Diva off. Kelly Kelly landed flat on her face and chest,
leading ECW referee Scott Armstrong to begin the 10-count . However, his count was interrupted when Kelly Kelly was
unresponsive on the ground, leading to Victoria’s victory. The SmackDown Diva, who is hoping for a chance at the new WWE
Divas Championship, has to wonder if GM Guerrero was watching.
While standing in the ring, Mark Henry called Big Show out from the locker room area to address the World's Largest
Athlete. After Big Show entered the ring, the World's Strongest Man revealed he wants to be the first Superstar to take
him on in a title match after the Night of Champions encounter between Big Show and ECW Champion Kane. Henry offered up a
congratulatory good luck handshake, but Big Show kept their massive mitts locked so that Henry could not withdraw and
declared, “If you keep campaigning for an ass-whoopin’, you’re going to get elected.” After Big Show’s harsh words, Henry
broke the grip and backed out of the ring. As Henry made his exit, Big Show reminded our fans that luck will have nothing
to do with his Night of Champions victory, and he would walk away that night as the new ECW Champion. Next, as Big Show
exited the ring, he came face-to-face with none other than his Night of Champions opponent, ECW Champion Kane, who was
entering the ring for a tag team match with CM Punk against the WWE Tag Team Champions. The two giants were locked in a
stare for a few moments before Big Show stepped aside and let Kane continue to the ring. Now that Henry and Big Show have
made their intentions known, what might Kane have to say about the future of the ECW Championship?

Less than two weeks before their Night of Champions match, ECW Champion Kane and Big Show took part in a colossal
staredown on ECW on Sci Fi. General Manager Theodore Long offered the Night of Champions opponents an open forum to speak
their minds before next Sunday. Big Show pointed out that he’s been an opponent, partner and champion alongside Kane, but
now the Big Red Machine has something he wants – the ECW Championship. The World’s Largest Athlete – who said he went
through hell to earn his Night of Champions match – promised he’ll take back the Extreme gold next Sunday. Kane,
determined to retain, had these words for Big Show: “Well, big man, hell is standing right here in front of you.” While the
two Superstars stood toe-to-toe in the middle of the ECW ring, Mark Henry marched down the ramp with an important message:
save your strength. “Because if I’m not drafted Monday night, you can bet your bottom dollar that after Night of Champions,
whichever one of you two is holding the ECW title, I’m coming after,” the World’s Strongest Man claimed. The Big Red
Machine and his Night of Champions opponent didn’t take Henry’s big statement lightly, as the duo brutally
double-chokeslammed him to the ECW mat, before continuing their staredown.
Matt Striker thought he’d teach a lesson or two to newcomer Evan Bourne. But “Your Teacher’s” lesson plan went awry when
the high-flying youngster hit Striker with a standing moonsault and a shooting star press for the pin to win the match.
But Bourne’s celebration was cut short when Mike Knox – who Bourne beat last week in tag action with Kofi Kingston –
entered the ring and attacked him.
Knox’s assault on Bourne fired him up for his upcoming bout with Kingston, but their match was interrupted by the
Superstar who ended Kingston’s winning streak – Shelton Benjamin. ECW’s Gold Standard attacked the Jamaican Superstar
mid-match, leading to Kingston’s win by disqualification. But during their scuffle, Benjamin accidentally kicked Knox,
allowing Kingston to escape the ring.
Former General Manager Armando Estrada continued to try to impress new GM Theodore Long when he faced Hornswoggle. But
Estrada and Hornswoggle’s match quickly turned into a virtual comedy routine, when SmackDown’s littlest Superstar stole
Estrada’s cigar, broke it in half and boldly threw it at him. Then Estrada tripped and fell when Hornswoggle tossed a
bucket of marbles on the ground. The shenanigans – complete with a blow-up shillelagh, water pistols and Finlay – finally
ended after Hornswoggle hit Estrada with a tadpole splash off the top rope for the win, giving the small Superstar
momentum going into his WWE Tag Team Championship match at Night of Champions.
One-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, John Morrison, who will defend his gold alongside The Miz against Hornswoggle &
Finlay next Sunday, met CM Punk this week on ECW. Mr. Money in the Bank took his briefcase all the way to the Extreme
winner’s circle on Tuesday when he hit the Shaman of Sexy with a Go To Sleep for the win. An angry Miz came to his fellow
Tag Champ’s side after his loss to proclaim they will remain WWE Tag Team Champions at Night of Champions.

Just five days prior to Night of Champions and one day after being pulled away from the Land of the Extreme in the
stunning 2008 WWE Draft, ECW Champion Kane squared off a in a non-title match against Mark Henry. To the surprise of all,
the World’s Strongest Man pinned the ECW Champion in the middle of the ring, bringing credibility to his recent claims
that he belongs in championship competition with the likes of the Big Red Machine and the World’s Largest Athlete Big Show.
Following an explosive build-up filled with epic matches and spontaneous ringside collisions in recent weeks, Kofi
Kingston and Shelton Benjamin fought it out in a brutal Extreme Rules Match. After facing early annihilation at the hands
of ECW’s Gold Standard, amid an array of metal stairs, trash cans, and chairs, Kofi bounced back to pick up the win,
giving Benjamin a face full of garbage can and a fresh mark in the loss column.
Newcomer Evan Bourne, hit the ring flying, fighting for retribution after last week’s assault by Mike Knox. However,
despite Bourne’s impressive arsenal of high-risk moves, Knox prevailed, defeating Bourne with authority.
After being drafted to ECW on Sci Fi, United States Champion Matt Hardy joined forced with newly-drafted Monday Night Raw
Superstar Mr. Money in the Bank CM Punk to compete against the WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz in a
non-title match. The teams were very evenly matched and in the end it seemed liked Morrison might be able to tag in Miz to
secure the victory. However, Hornswoggle suddenly made an unexpended appearance, causing a big enough distraction for
Hardy to hit the Twist of Fate and pick up the victory.

After bringing the ECW Championship back home to the Land of the Extreme – proving triumphant in an epic Triple Threat
Match with Kane and Big Show at Night of Champions – ECW Champion Mark Henry celebrated with a crushing victory over the
courageous Colin Delaney.
Earlier in the evening, Tommy Dreamer – with Delaney in tow – interrupted Henry and questioned whether the World’s
Strongest Man actually knew what it meant to hold the coveted extreme title. After challenging Henry, the unimpressed new
champion proclaimed that if young Delaney could beat him, he would give Dreamer his opportunity. Unfortunately for the ECW
Original, although Delaney possessed the heart and soul of ECW, he could not overcome such enormous odds.
As part of his New Superstar Initiative, ECW General Manager Theodore Long introduced Atlas Ortiz, the latest addition to
the ECW roster. The newcomer made a notable first impression, scoring a victory over former ECW GM Armando Estrada in his
debut match.
In a fast and furious Six-Man Tag Team Match, United States Champion Matt Hardy teamed with fellow ECW draftees Fit Finlay &
Hornswoggle to defeat WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz & John "Nobody" Morrison & their partner Chavo Guerrero. After Hardy delivered
the Twist of Fate to Morrison, and Hornswoggle dropped the Tadpole Splash on Guerrero, Fit Finlay finished off the
self-proclaimed “Mexican Warrior” with an authoritative Celtic Cross.

WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas made a special, Extreme appearance on Tuesday night as a guest ring announcer on ECW on Sci Fi
during a non-title match between Tommy Dreamer and ECW Champion Mark Henry. While Atlas exchanged words with Henry earlier
in the evening, and Dreamer offered Atlas a chance to be in the ECW Original’s corner, Atlas proved to be more than a
guest ring announcer on Tuesday night.
Dreamer, who was seeking revenge on Henry for beating Colin Delaney, causing the Original to lose a chance at the ECW
Title, was defeated by the World’s Strongest Champion, thanks to help from Atlas. After Delaney attempted to trip Henry,
Atlas tossed the youngster into the announce table, distracting Dreamer. The ECW Champ took advantage of the situation,
delivering a World’s Strongest Slam to Dreamer for the win. WWE Hall of Famer Atlas celebrated in the ECW ring with the
Extreme Champion. With a Hall of Famer in his corner, who will stop the World’s Strongest Champ?
As WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison boasted about their in and out of the ring talents, they were
interrupted by Finlay & Hornswoggle. Hornswoggle blasted the WWE Tag Team Champs with a water pistol, and his father
attacked them with a shillelagh, much to our Baton Rouge fans’ delight. Their disruption turned into a match, thanks to
ECW General Manager Theodore Long. Finlay continued his winning streak, defeating The Miz, thanks to the help of his son’s
distraction. Will the father and son duo continue their hot streak or will the WWE Tag Team Champions prevail in this
heated rivalry?
Still seething after his loss to Ricky Ortiz last week on ECW, former GM Armando Estrada demanded a rematch against the
newcomer. But new GM Long had another thing on his mind – ECW’s New Superstar Initiative. Long forced the contract-less
Estrada to face ECW’s newest Superstar, Braden Walker. Once again, Estrada was defeated by another new Extreme Superstar.
Will Estrada ever be able to prove himself in the Land of the Extreme? How will successful newcomer Walker affect Tuesday
nights?
Evan Bourne, another ECW Superstar looking to make a name for himself, picked up a win. Bourne faced Nunzio and the young
high-flyer proved he wasn’t bothered by a recent loss to Mike Knox. Bourne, who says he defies the odds by defying
gravity, rekindled his confidence after defeating Nunzio with a soaring shooting star. What’s next for this newcomer in

If at first you don’t succeed in bending an iron frying pan with your bare hands, just use it to smash your Great American
Bash opponent over the head. That’s exactly what Tommy Dreamer did to Mark Henry after the World’s Strongest Champion
displayed his raw power by easily bending a frying pan while Tazz and Henry’s newest supporter, WWE Hall of Famer Tony
Atlas, looked on. The escalating tensions between the ECW Original and the ECW Champion will finally come to a head this
Sunday in their title match at The Great American Bash.
With support from our fans in their home state of North Carolina, United States Champion Matt Hardy and his brother, Jeff
Hardy, took on WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz. Boasting seven Tag Team Championships of their own, the
reunited Hardys launched a well executed attack against their opponents. As the match went on, the intensity level of both
teams picked up with a few near pinfalls. But in the end, it was a Swanton Bomb from Jeff Hardy to John Morrison which set
the stage for Matt Hardy to cover the Tuesday Night Delight.
Ever since his ECW debut last month, Evan Bourne has been turning the heads of our fans and Superstars alike. In perhaps
his toughest challenge yet, the young upstart took on former ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero. Despite Guerrero’s ring savvy
and experience, Bourne was able to stun the former champion with a Shooting Star Press from the top rope, giving him the
victory.
In a dominating display of force, Mike Knox maintained control over Shannon Moore throughout their entire match. In the
end, The Reject couldn’t summon enough to stop Knox’s onslaught and fell victim to a hard-hitting face plant for the loss.

While Matt Hardy may have lost the United States Championship to Shelton Benjamin at The Great American Bash this past
Sunday, the Extreme Superstar isn’t exactly backing down from the competition. On ECW on Sci Fi, Hardy was victorious in a
Fatal Four Way Match against Finlay, The Miz and John Morrison, hitting Morrison with a Twist of Fate to secure a chance
to face Mark Henry for the ECW Championship at SummerSlam.
In honor of successfully defending his gold at The Great American Bash, Henry was presented a brand-new title on behalf of
General Manager Theodore Long. The World’s Strongest Champion accepted the gold alongside WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas,
who proclaimed it a new ECW. Atlas declared that all who get with the program will be rewarded, including Colin Delaney,
who turned against his former mentor, Tommy Dreamer, on Sunday to help Henry retain the ECW Championship.
“I looked in the ring and on one side I saw a legend, a Hall of Famer, Tony Atlas with the World’s Strongest Champion,
Mark Henry. And on the other side I saw Tommy Dreamer: A washed-up loser,” Delaney boldly announced, saying he’ll carry
Henry’s bags any day.
But before Delaney could leave with his new alliance, Long told the youngster that Dreamer isn’t only a part of his past,
but a part of his future, because he’d be facing his former friend in the ECW ring immediately. A frightened Delaney – who
was abandoned in the ring by Henry and Atlas – was defeated by Dreamer. Is this the last Delaney will see of the ECW
Original – who some say is responsible for helping the youngster earn a WWE contract? How will Delaney’s betrayal affect
his life as an ECW Superstar?
Evan Bourne continued his winning streak, defeating James Curtis as Chavo Guerrero and Bam Neely watched ringside. Fresh
off a victory over Guerrero last week, the young, high-flying Bourne is quickly making a name for himself on the ECW
scene. As part of Long’s New Superstar Initiative, Bourne is determined to impact the Land of the Extreme. After defeating
Curtis, Guerrero and Neely rushed the ECW ring, attempting to attack Bourne, but the quick Superstar escaped to have the

There’s a new face in the Land of the Extreme. Following the shocking appointment of Mike Adamle to Raw General Manager by
WWE Executive Vice President, Shane McMahon, five-year veteran of the WWE announce team, Todd Grisham, has joined ECW as
the new play-by-play man on Tuesday nights.
Make no mistake, ECW Champion Mark Henry plans to hold on to the Extreme gold through SummerSlam and for a long time to
come – a mission he made clear on Tuesday’s ECW on Sci Fi. The World’s Strongest Champion came face-to-face with his
SummerSlam opponent and fellow ECW draftee, Matt Hardy, on ECW where Henry bent a steel bar to prove his strength and
toughness. But No. 1 contender Hardy wasn’t impressed by Henry’s act of strength, nor was he bothered by his ECW on Sci Fi
opponent, Colin Delaney. The youngster faced Hardy in an attempt to impress Henry and WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas who
merely looked on, without offering assistance. After Hardy defeated Delaney, Henry entered the ECW ring, took a long look
at his SummerSlam opponent, then grabbed Delaney, and in another act of strength, pressed him over his head and tossed him
over the top rope as Hardy watched. Will the World’s Strongest Champion continue to dominate in the Land of the Extreme? Or
will Hardy’s positive momentum and unbreakable spirit continue through SummerSlam, helping him to prevail in his ECW
Championship Match? Now that Henry has shown Delaney where he stands within their partnership, and Delaney again failed to
impress the ECW Champion, who will the youngster turn to next for guidance?
The undefeated Ricky Ortiz took on Chavo Guerrero, who was accompanied by his bodyguard, Bam Neely. The confident Ortiz,
who is part of ECW General Manager Theodore Long’s New Superstar Initiative, entered the match with a 1-0 record, and
continued his winning streak when Guerrero lost by disqualification because of Neely’s interference. After the match,
Neely attacked Ortiz and held down his feet while Guerrero delivered a devastating frog splash to the newcomer. But
Guerrero’s gloating didn’t last long, as Evan Bourne rushed the ECW ring to quickly attack the self-proclaimed “Mexican
Warrior,” then escape to have the last laugh. Bourne’s been the thorn in Guerrero’s side the last few weeks – will the
high-flying newcomer continue to torment Guerrero? How will Guerrero use Neely to his advantage when it comes to warding
off Bourne?
Mike "The Miz" Mizanin & John "Nobody" Morrison met Fit Finlay & Hornswoggle in tag team action. The former WWE Tag Team
Champions found a sweet victory in Chocolatetown, U.S.A., defeating the father and son duo. As Finlay tended to his son,
Mike Knox stormed into the ring and attacked Finlay, laying him out alongside Hornswoggle. Minutes later, Knox told ECW
Diva Lena Yada that Finlay has gone from being “the man who loves to fight to the man who loves to dance with leprechauns.”
Knox said Finlay has gone soft, making him an easy target. Will Knox come after Finlay again? How will Finlay & Hornswoggle
prove they haven’t “gone soft” as Extreme Superstars?

After last week’s post-match attack on Ricky Ortiz, swift justice was served to Chavo Guerrero & his bodyguard, Bam Neely
in Extreme tag team action. The explosive combination of Ortiz and the high-flying Evan Bourne reigned supreme over
Guerrero & Neely in a whirlwind contest. The two ECW newcomers proved to be in complete sync as a tag team, as Ortiz
disposed of the self-proclaimed “Mexican Warrior,” allowing Bourne to roll up Neely to pick up the big win for the young
Superstars.
In a match that ECW General Manager Theodore Long deemed his final opportunity for ECW Superstardom, Armando Estrada
finally earned an ECW contract by defeating Tommy Dreamer. The controversial victory came after the ECW Original’s former
protégé, Colin Delaney, ran to the ring to distract his former mentor. As a result of Delaney’s ringside antics, GM Long
has decided to place him in an Extreme Rules Match against Dreamer next week.
Mike Knox continued to antagonize Finlay, this time with a verbal assault that indicated The Man Who Loves to Fight had
become nothing more than a joke since teaming with his son, Hornswoggle. But when The Belfast Brawler came out to the
squared circle to personally answer his charges – even going so far as to turn his back to give his adversary a free
chance to attack – Knox, at least for the moment, decided to change his tune, leaving the ring while staring down Finlay
and his son.
A very solid Braden Walker – who came to ECW as part of GM Long’s New Superstar Initiative – continued to make an impact
in the Land of the Extreme by conquering another capable newcomer, James Curtis.
The groundbreaking WWE.com sensation, “The Dirt Sheet,” made history once again by broadcasting for the first time live on
ECW on Sci Fi. In honor of the monumental occasion, co-hosts John Morrison & The Miz welcomed none other than ECW Champion
Mark Henry – accompanied by Tony Atlas – and No. 1 contender for the ECW title, Matt Hardy. However, when the former WWE
Tag Team Champions tried to mince more than just words with Henry’s Extreme challenger, Hardy was more than happy to
retaliate. And just when it looked like the excitement could grow no bigger, Morrison accidentally punched Henry, causing
The World’s Strongest Champion to temporarily align himself with his SummerSlam opponent in order to take out both of the
outspoken Dirt Sheet stars.

Tommy Dreamer met his former protégé-turned-traitor, Colin Delaney, in an Extreme Rules Match. The ECW Original’s shopping
cart full of Extreme weapons – including a kendo stick, steel trash can and traffic signs – only added to the painful
beating inflicted to young Delaney, who turned on his mentor weeks ago, costing him a chance at the ECW Championship and
later helping Armando Estrada earn an ECW contract. Dreamer defeated Delaney with a brutal DDT into a stop sign, but has
he truly stopped the antics of Delaney? With another loss under his belt, has Delaney finally learned his lesson?
Evan Bourne’s hot streak continued on ECW when he defeated Bam Neely for the second week in a row, this time in singles
action. The young, quick-thinking high-flyer, who arrived in the Land of the Extreme as part of General Manager Long’s New
Superstar Initiative, beat the odds once again by defeating the much-larger Neely, who was not at 100 percent due to being
attacked by Edge last week on SmackDown. Neely, the bodyguard of Chavo Guerrero, was ordered by his boss to compete,
despite his concussion, which only helped the already strong Bourne win with another impressive shooting star press off
the top rope. Will anyone be able to stop this daring, unpredictable new Superstar?
Armando Estrada toasted to his new ECW contract with General Manager Theodore Long and Long’s assistant, Tiffany, but the
celebration was cut short when the GM informed Estrada that he’d be facing Finlay immediately. Estrada is now 0-1 as a
newly contracted ECW Superstar, picking up his first loss to the man who loves to fight as Mike Knox looked on. After his
victory, Finlay urged Knox – who recently told Finlay he’s gone soft thanks to his relationship with his son, Hornswoggle
– to come down to the ring, but a scowling Knox didn’t budge, and eventually walked away without a physical confrontation.
Will these two rivals ever meet in the Extreme ring?
SummerSlam opponents joined forces in the ring on Tuesday night, as ECW Champion Mark Henry & Matt Hardy faced John
Morrison & The Miz on ECW on Sci Fi. Hardy, the No. 1 contender for ECW gold, dominated the match, as a frustrated Henry
stood by hoping to tag in. Hardy hit Morrison with a brutal Side Effect off the top rope, leading to the pin for the win.
After the bell rang, Henry attacked Morrison & The Miz, looking for revenge for last week's "Dirt Sheet" debacle on ECW on
Sci Fi. After referee Wes Anderson and WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas held the World Strongest Champion's arms in the air to
honor the tag team victory, Henry also congratulated Hardy. But the celebration ended quickly when Henry delivered a
devastating World's Strongest Slam to the No. 1 contender, directly into the ECW Championship, sending a serious message
to his SummerSlam opponent.

The World’s Strongest Champion is still the king of the Land of the Extreme. In a brutal SummerSlam rematch on ECW on
Sci Fi, ECW Champion Mark Henry defeated Matt Hardy, as Henry’s ally, WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas, once again did more
than just look on. Henry and Hardy’s title match at SummerSlam was cut short when Atlas attacked Hardy, leaving Henry to
retain ECW gold on Sunday. After Atlas’ assault, Hardy’s brother, Jeff, rushed to aid his sibling, and then hit the WWE
Hall of Famer. Finally, the brothers leveled Henry with a double-suplex. But these actions weren’t enough to sideline the
World’s Strongest Champion in his mission to retain ECW gold. Despite the 150-pound weight difference between Hardy and
Henry, Hardy’s inner strength and passion makes up for his smaller size. But that passion wasn’t enough for Hardy this
week, especially with Atlas at ringside. The WWE Hall of Famer interfered in the title match more than once, which the
referee never saw. Despite a strong fight, Hardy fell victim to a World’s Strongest Slam, leading Henry to retain the ECW
Championship.
Tommy Dreamer, Evan Bourne & Super Crazy teamed up in tag action against John Morrison, The Miz & Chavo Guerrero, who was
accompanied by his bodyguard, Bam Neely. After Morrison held down Dreamer’s foot, leading him to become entangled in the
ring ropes, The Miz delivered a neckbreaker off the ropes to pin the ECW Original for the tag team win.
Ricky Ortiz kept his undefeated streak alive on ECW. With his “Ricky O. Rally Towel” in hand, the flashy, brash newcomer
picked up his fourth straight victory, much to the delight of the his fans – the Rick ‘n’ Rollers – waving Rally Towels
throughout the arena. Ortiz defeated the debuting Gavin Spears, another newcomer who calls himself “the crown jewel of
ECW’s New Superstar Initiative.” Also debuting was ECW referee Aaron Davis, who arrived in the Land of the Extreme as part
of General Manager Theodore Long’s New Superstar Initiative.
The rivalry between Mike Knox and Finlay heated up during an intense confrontation. Knox, who accused Finlay of going
“soft” because of his relationship with his son, Hornswoggle, was once again invited to join the man who loves to fight –
who was without his trusty shillelagh – in the ECW ring. But the Desert Destroyer refused, accusing Finlay of being
afraid, stating he’d make his move when he’s good and ready. Since Knox wouldn’t get in the ring for a second time, the
Belfast Brawler stepped out and attacked Knox on the ramp, leading to an all-out brawl, which had to be stopped by several
WWE officials. By the order of GM Long, Knox and Finlay will finally bring their differences to the ECW ring during a
match on next week’s ECW on Sci Fi.

Matt Hardy, The Miz, Chavo Guerrero and Finlay all qualified to face ECW Champion
Mark Henry in an ECW Championship Scramble at Unforgiven.
In the first ECW Championship Scramble Qualifying Match of the night, Matt Hardy took on past ECW Champion John Morrison.
Exhibiting great tenacity, Hardy pushed the Tuesday Night Delight to his limit in a back-and-forth battle, featuring
multiple near pinfalls from both Superstars. In the end, though, Hardy was able to stop Morrison’s signature Moonlight
Drive to deliver a hard-hitting Twist of Fate and pick up the win. The victory gives Hardy an opportunity at the ECW
Championship – a title he has never held.
After enjoying tag team success with John Morrison, The Miz has been looking to make a mark on the singles scene. Tonight,
he faced a formidable opponent in Evan Bourne, who has never been pinned on ECW. Using an aggressive offense, The Miz was
able to prevent Bourne from engaging in his signature high-flying maneuvers. The strategy paid off for The Miz, who was
able to stun the newcomer with a Reality Check and pinfall.
The third ECW Championship Scramble Qualifying Match of the night pitted Tommy Dreamer against Chavo Guerrero – both
former ECW Champions. The opportunity for championship gold doesn't come often, and both veterans knew that going into the
match. In the end, it was the self-proclaimed “Mexican Warrior” who earned his chance for the title at Unforgiven by
defeating the ECW Original with a Frog Splash.
Last week on SmackDown, United States Champion Shelton Benjamin defeated Finlay to qualify for the WWE Championship
Scramble at Unforgiven. But tonight, Finlay received a second chance at gold when he faced Mike Knox in the final ECW
Championship Scramble Qualifying Match. At odds for weeks, the two engaged in a knock-down, drag-out brawl. In the end,
though, it turned out to be Finlay’s son, Hornswoggle, who was the difference maker in the match. The pint-sized prankster
handed his father a shillelagh, which the Belfast Brawler used to go after Knox. But Knox was able to fend off Finlay with
a kick to the gut and prevent being clobbered. The ref took the shillelagh from Finlay, but Hornswoggle had a back-up

After a wild beginning on ECW on Sci Fi with a live edition of “The Dirt Sheet,” Matt Hardy, Finlay, Tommy Dreamer & Evan
Bourne won an Eight-Man Tag Team Match, with Hardy pinning ECW Champion Mark Henry for the victory – after the World’s
Strongest Man was given a Shooting Star Press by Bourne, a splash from Dreamer, a body splash from Finlay, and a Twist of
Fate from Hardy.
In an Extreme world where five Superstars will vie for the ECW Championship at Unforgiven, things were upside down when The
Miz & John Morrison hosted a special episode of their hit WWE.com show, “The Dirt Sheet,” on ECW on Sci Fi. Miz is one of
the challengers in the ECW Championship Scramble on Sunday, and he was joined by guests Matt Hardy, Chavo Guerrero, Finlay
and the World’s Strongest Champion, Mark Henry. Each guest, however, was treated to the insulting words of Miz &
Morrison – words that sparked a wild melee when Morrison hit Hardy with a microphone. As Miz, Morrison, Guerrero, Bam
Neely, Mark Henry and WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas attacked Hardy and Finlay, Evan Bourne and Tommy Dreamer rushed to
their aid, clearing the ring of the imminent threat. Who will walk out of Unforgiven with the ECW gold? Can Henry
hold on despite the 80 percent chance of losing his title? Or will someone else step up and take the gold for themselves?
Ricky Ortiz continued his undefeated streak on ECW, defeating Ryan Braddock. The towel-waving Ortiz has been impressive
during his streak, but how long can he keep the victories piling up?
Victories seem to be eluding newcomer Gavin Spears who, despite his claims that he is the “crown jewel” of ECW General
Manager Theodore Long’s New Superstar Initiative, has yet to taste success on ECW on Sci Fi. Spears did battle with Super
Crazy Tuesday night, once again coming up short in his bid to earn his first win. Will Spears live up to his claims?

Still seething after losing the ECW Championship to Matt Hardy at Unforgiven, a vengeful Mark Henry demanded a rematch on
ECW on Sci Fi. While Hardy declared he wanted to be the greatest ECW Champion of all time, the World’s Strongest Man
interrupted and attacked the new champ. But, Hardy quickly turned the tables on Henry and his cohort, WWE Hall of Famer
Tony Atlas, leaving Henry on the ground ringside and Atlas face-down in the ring after a Twist of Fate.
John "Nobody" Morrison prevailed over Evan Bourne as The Miz did more than just sit idly by at ringside. Seeking revenge
for being defeated by Bourne & Rey Mysterio on Raw the previous night, The Miz distracted the high-flying Bourne while he
was on the top rope. Morrison took that opportunity to hit Bourne with a kick, knocking him to the ground and picking up
the pin.
“The All-American American” Jack Swagger made his first ECW appearance on Tuesday night as he faced local competitor Josh
Daniels. Swagger, who joined the Land of the Extreme as part of ECW General Manager Theodore Long’s New Superstar
Initiative, was successful in his debut after leveling Daniels with a Blue Thunder Bomb for the win.
Matt Hardy teamed up with Fit Finlay and Hornswoggle to face Henry and Mike Knox. While Hornswoggle distracted Henry, and
Finlay hit the World’s Strongest Man with a shillelagh, Hardy delivered a devastating Twist of Fate and pinned an already
bloodied Knox for the win. Once again, the ECW Champion reigned victorious, but similar to the finish of the ECW Scramble
Match at Unforgiven, Hardy didn’t pin Henry for the win, leaving the World’s Strongest Man still hungry to regain ECW’s
top prize.

Matt Hardy proved once again why he’s the ECW Champion when he pinned Mike Knox for the second week in a row. Hardy
delivered another Twist of Fate to the devious Knox, who wore the battle wounds on his face from last week’s tag team
defeat by the ECW Champ. Hardy, who has proclaimed he wants to be the greatest ECW Champion of all time, is looking
stronger than ever with another victory under his ECW Title.
The rivalry between Evan “Air” Bourne and John Morrison & The Miz escalated to a new level this week when Bourne was
accompanied to the ring by a fellow member of ECW General Manager Theodore Long’s New Superstar Initiative, Ricky Ortiz.
Unlike last week, when The Miz distracted Bourne allowing Morrison to get the win, Bourne was victorious over The Miz this
week in singles action. Morrison interfered by grabbing Bourne, prompting Ortiz to attack the Shaman of Sexy, distracting
The Miz long enough for Bourne to roll up the self-proclaimed “Chick Magnet” for the victory.
“The All-American American” Jack Swagger was successful once again, this time defeating Chase Stevens. After winning his
second match on ECW with a Red, White and Blue Thunder Bomb, smiling Swagger is looking like another fine Extreme
competitor to come out of the ECW New Superstar Initiative.
Mark Henry sought retribution after last week’s ECW when Hornswoggle caused
a distraction, leading Finlay to hit Henry with a shillelagh. With WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas in his corner, Henry got
his revenge, causing Finlay’s luck to run out. Henry manhandled the Belfast Brawler throughout the match, but once The
World`s Strongest Man cornered Hornswoggle, Finlay attacked Henry with the shillelagh for the second week in a row, an act
unseen by the referee. While suffering through the pain inflicted on his arm by the shillelagh, Henry still dominated,
pinning Finlay after a World’s Strongest Slam. Despite the win on ECW, The World’s Strongest Man has one thing on his
mind – winning back the ECW Title he lost, without being pinned, during the ECW Championship Scramble Match at Unforgiven
just nine days ago.

The “self-proclaimed” Chick Magnet and John "Nobody" Morrison emerged with tremendous criticism of ECW
General Manager Theodore Long’s New Superstar Initiative, being particularly critical of Ortiz and fellow Initiative
Superstar Evan Bourne. But, after proclaiming that either one of them could beat any other Superstar, Long thought it
would be fitting that Miz and Morrison get in the ring against one another, with the winner facing Ortiz immediately
afterward.
Chavo Guerrero was absent from ECW on Sci Fi after apparently being attacked by The Undertaker on SmackDown. But, Finlay
showed little remorse, scoring a decisive victory over Bam Neely – thanks to the luck of the Irish and a little lively
distraction by Hornsswoggle. When Neely grabbed the Belfast Brawler’s offspring, Finlay demonstrated the full force of his
shillelagh.
Mark Henry appeared before the WWE Universe with some very strong words for ECW Champion Matt Hardy, reminding the WWE
Universe that he has never been pinned by the reigning champion. But, can The World’s Strongest Man reverse the course of
history and take back his gold at No Mercy?
In an aggressive, non-title match, Maryse stunned the Land of the Extreme by overcoming Divas Champion Michelle McCool
with her devastating DDT. Has Maryse earned herself another championship opportunity?
After being destroyed in a brutal match against the rough and ready Mike Knox, a nearly unconscious Chase Stevens was
suddenly attacked by the “All-American American” Jack Swagger. But, when Tommy Dreamer rushed down to save Stevens from
his smiling predator, Knox distracted the ECW Original long enough for Swagger to lay him out as well.
The Miz and John Morrison grappled to an intense double count-out, leaving no opponent for Ortiz to face, the young
Superstar refused to be denied. He emerged with gusto, splashing both of his potential adversaries and showing them just
how tough Long’s new Superstars really are.

learned of the return of Boogeyman. Lock your doors and check under your bed, it’s the return of Boogeyman! Just when and
where will this ghoulish Superstar make his return?
Fit Finlay pinned Mike Knox, giving the Belfast Brawler and Tommy Dreamer the win over Knox & “The All-American American”
Jack Swagger. Hornswoggle intervened in the action to help his father by hitting Knox with a Tadpole Splash. Finlay
followed up by bashing Knox with his shillelagh to get the pinfall. The victory was sweet revenge for Tommy Dreamer, who
was defeated by Mike Knox last week on ECW and gutwrench powerbombed by Swagger after the bell.
Coming off a loss to ECW Champion Matt Hardy at No Mercy, Mark Henry was not in a good mood Tuesday. Unfortunately for
Jamie Noble, he paid the price with a World’s Strongest Slam. Mark Henry dominated Jamie Noble in a match that Noble was
backed into during a verbal exchange with Henry earlier in the night in ECW General Manager Theodore Long’s office. After
the match was over, the World’s Strongest Man continued to punish Noble by brutally slamming him two more times to the
canvas. But, Hardy didn’t like what he saw and rushed to Noble’s aid. However, Hardy paid a heavy price as Henry punished
him with a World’s Strongest Slam and a crushing 400-pound splash. After the carnage, Hardy was left motionless on the
canvas next to the fallen Noble.
Bad blood ran rampant in the Eight-Man Tag Team match which saw John Morrison pin CM Punk using a Moonlight Drive, giving
Morrison’s team of The Miz & World Tag Team Champions Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes the win over CM Punk, Kofi Kingston, Evan

Lady luck was on the side of several Extreme challengers on Tuesday night. With Cyber Sunday less than two weeks away, the
ECW Superstars who have the possibility of facing Matt Hardy for the ECW Championship have been named, and now it’s up to
the WWE Universe to choose who truly is the lucky one.
After WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas proclaimed to the WWE Universe in Las Vegas that Mark Henry is deserving of the ECW
Championship, ECW General Manager Theodore Long entered the Thomas & Mack Center to make an announcement about Cyber
Sunday. Long stated that the World’s Strongest Man is one of three candidates who has the opportunity to face Hardy for
the ECW Championship at Cyber Sunday. The other two Superstars on the ballot would have to fight their way in on ECW on
Sci Fi.
In the night’s first Cyber Sunday qualifying match, Evan “Air” Bourne picked up the win over former ECW Champion Chavo
Guerrero. The young, high-flyer, who is part of Long’s New Superstar Initiative on ECW, earned the second spot on the
Cyber Sunday ballot. But after his match, Bourne was attacked by an angry Henry, who flattened him with a World's
Strongest Slam. Now it’s up to the WWE Universe to determine who will face Hardy for the ECW Title on Oct. 26.
To celebrate Sci Fi’s 31 Days of Halloween, Tiffany showed off her latest and greatest costume as a Las Vegas showgirl.
While GM Long was assuring the Diva she’s a shoo-in to the Divas Costume Contest at Cyber Sunday, they were interrupted
by “The All-American American” Jack Swagger and ECW Original Tommy Dreamer, who were arguing about who should have the
chance to earn an opportunity to face Hardy at Cyber Sunday.
In the second and final Cyber Sunday qualifying match on ECW, Finlay defeated John Morrison, but not before an interruption by Mike
Knox and some help by Cryme Tyme. After Finlay's win, he clobbered both Shad & JTG with his shillelagh, but then Henry
ambushed the man who loves to fight with a World's Strongest Slam on the ramp, clearly offering a harsh message. Finlay
may now have the chance to face Hardy for the ECW Title at Cyber Sunday on Oct. 26, but it’s up to the WWE Universe to
pick Hardy’s opponent.

With Cyber Sunday – and the battle for the ECW Championship just days away – it was young star, Evan Bourne, who outshined
his fellow challengers in a Triple Threat Match.
Using killer instinct, “The All-American American” Jack Swagger dominated Brett Badery, finishing off the young upstart
with a brutal gutwrench powerbomb. After the match, WWE’s Todd Grisham asked Swagger what he would do the next time he
collided with ECW Original Tommy Dreamer. Swagger sarcastically replied, “Tommy who?” and sauntered out of the ring.
Despite Shad's brute force and size advantage over The Miz, "The Dirt Sheet" host held his own against his "Word Up"
nemesis. However, when The Miz’s co-host, John Morrison, kicked Shad in the back, the referee immediately called for the
bell and ruled the match a disqualification. "The Dirt Sheet" could face “Word Up” in a Cyber Sunday Tag Team Match if the
WWE Universe chooses the encounter among three potential matches.
In a battle pitting all three potential challengers for the ECW Championship at Cyber Sunday against each other, Mark
Henry was firmly in control from the start. However, Finlay shook things up when he bashed Henry with his shillelagh.
Evan Bourne capitalized by knocking Finlay to the canvas after leaping from the ropes. Then, with both the Belfast Brawler

Just like they did last night on Raw, John Morrison & The Miz hyped themselves in their upcoming encounter against
D-Generation X on next week’s special three-hour Raw. By showing a DX "mockumentary" on the Titantron and bringing in two
DX imposters, Miz & Morrison thoroughly disparaged their soon-to-be opponents in a live edition of “The Dirt Sheet.” Even
the hosts themselves questioned if they crossed the line.
Despite facing each other just two days earlier at Cyber Sunday, ECW Champion Matt Hardy and Evan Bourne paired up, along
with Finlay, for a six-man tag match. Their opponents included none other than Hardy’s nagging nemesis, Mark Henry, along
with Chavo Guerrero & Bam Neely. Toward the end of the bout, chaos ensued. Hornswoggle bit Mark Henry and leaped on top of

ECW on Sci Fi stood witness as two of its top Superstars fought to prove themselves worthy of a championship opportunity,
while another crossed a dangerous line with an ECW Original.
ECW Champion Matt Hardy started the night off by setting the Land of the Extreme on fire with an electrifying victory over
the rough and ready Bam Neely. Just when it looked as if the brutal Neely would upset the champion, Matt Hardy hit him
with a Twist of Fate from out of nowhere to come out on top.
Ricky Ortiz remained undefeated, making short work of a local athlete with the devastating Big O. The ever-building
winning streak of this young Superstar stands as a continued monument to the amazing success of Long’s New Superstar
Initiative.
Following his huge victory over ECW Original Tommy Dreamer last week, “The All-American American” Jack Swagger proceeded
to belittle the 19-year hardcore veteran, describing the many ways Dreamer is a “failure” before dropping the old ECW
Championship into a trash can. However, when Swagger suggested Dreamer's twin daughters might become “failures” as well,
the situation reached a boiling point. Dreamer charged into the ring in an enraged frenzy, smashing Swagger with the trash
can before whacking him with the Singapore Cane, sending him from the ring in agony.
At the conclusion of Matt Hardy’s match, Finlay and Mark Henry both emerged to proclaim that they should to be the next
Superstar to face the ECW Champion. As a result, ECW General Manager Theodore Long made an executive decision that the two
Superstars would battle for a chance at the title in the night’s main event. After avoiding a splash that threatened both

Irish eyes were on the prize in the United Kingdom, but Finlay’s luck ran out against ECW Champion Matt Hardy on ECW on
Sci Fi. Also on Tuesday night, ECW’s Shaman of Sexy earned a tag team victory, while Mark Henry proved he’s still a
dominant force in the Land of the Extreme.
The Extreme night at the Manchester Evening News Arena kicked off with a Six-man Tag Team Match between “The Dirt Sheet”
hosts with “The All-American American” and a trio of New Yorkers. Cryme Tyme’s trip to the Land of the Extreme was cut
short when their tag partner, Dreamer, was defeated when Morrison hit the ECW Original with a Moonlight Drive for the pin.
The World’s Strongest Man once again proved he is a force to be reckoned with on ECW. Henry quickly and brutally defeated
a local competitor from Leeds, England. After the match, ECW announcer Todd Grisham asked Henry who he thought would win
the ECW Title Match later that night, but former ECW Champion Henry – still seething over losing No. 1 contendership to
Finlay last week – refused to answer.
Matt Hardy warned Finlay that he’d be in for the fight of his life this week on ECW on Sci Fi, and the ECW Champion didn’t
back down from his promise. In one of the biggest matches of his career, Finlay faced Hardy for the ECW Championship, but
the man who refuses to quit remained the Extreme champion. In front of a sold out crowd in Manchester, Hardy proved to the

With Survivor Series just days away, the Superstars of Land of the Extreme thrilled the WWE Universe by demonstrating the
most devastating survival tactics in their respective arsenals.
The Tuesday Night Delight and the self-proclaimed Chick Magnet addressed the WWE Universe on their involvement in the Team
HBK vs. Team JBL Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match at Survivor Series. The duo humorously broke down
both the attributes and shortcomings of their teammates and opponents alike. “The Dirt Sheet” stars levied their heaviest
attacks on Shawn Michaels. And their overall message to all … “Be jealous.”
The extremely confident DJ Gabriel – the newest member of GM Theodore Long’s New Superstar Initiative – was victorious in
his ECW debut, dancing his way to a very impressive win over a local athlete with the former wedding planner Alicia Fox in
his corner. After finishing off the high-octane match with a devastating European uppercut, Gabriel didn’t miss a step,
continuing his electric dance with the sultry Fox.
In an Amateur Wrestling Challenge – set up by Jack Swagger after Tommy Dreamer asked for a rematch from their bout three
weeks ago – “The All-American American” out-matched his opponent. But, the ECW Original answered back with a kick to
Swagger’s stomach and a painful DDT. The referee disqualified Dreamer, who stood tall as he declared to Swagger, “Oops, my
bad, you win,” with a satisfied look on his face. Swagger later demanded that ECW General Manager Theodore Long give him a
rematch. Long responded that since the contest had been in Swagger’s style, it would only be fair that the rematch be on
Dreamer’s terms – namely an Extreme Rules Match.
In an exciting Six-Man Tag Team main event with Survivor Series implications, Intercontinental Champion William Regal,

Looking for a win after Sunday’s loss in the Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match, Mark Henry came to Providence
ready to trounce the Fighting Irishman, Finlay.
In Tommy Dreamer’s domain – an Extreme Rules Match – the ECW Original took on the younger, cockier Jack Swagger in a match
that included kendo sticks, steel chairs, garbage cans and a table. After a few near pinfalls from each Superstar, “The
All-American American” abruptly ended the encounter when he drove Dreamer through the table with a commanding Swagger
Bomb. The maneuver earned Swagger his second consecutive victory over Dreamer.
DJ Gabriel is proving to be a shining star in ECW General Manager Theodore Long’s New Superstar Initiative. With lovely
Alicia Fox in his corner at ringside, the newcomer picked up his second win by destroying his opponent with a Flying
European Uppercut.
With no love lost between the two, Finlay and Mark Henry battled it out in front of the capacity crowd. But before a
winner could be determined, chaos ensued when WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas forced Hornswoggle into the ring and Henry
hoisted him off the mat. Going into fatherly protection mode, Finlay smashed the World’s Strongest Man in the knee with
his shillelagh, causing him to go down in pain. Next, the Fighting Irishman jumped from the second rope, driving Henry to
the canvas again. Just when it looked like Finlay had Henry where he wanted, the father had to once again come to the
rescue of his son, who Atlas was ready to pummel outside the ring. Finlay exited the ring and used his trusty shillelagh
to take down the powerful Atlas. Henry retaliated, striking Finlay in the back of the head and slamming him into the ramp

On ECW on Sci Fi, the WWE Universe stood witness as the Extreme champion took on the Franchise Playa, desperate to get
back on his game. Meanwhile, two members of the New Superstar Initiative battled for recognition.
Jack Swagger proved victorious over Ricky Ortiz with his Swagger Bomb. After “The All-American American” called out ECW
General Manager Theodore Long and stated that he should be No. 1 contender to the ECW Championship, Long and Tiffany
decided to make a match between Swagger and Ortiz – another undefeated Superstar and fellow member of Long’s New Superstar
Initiative. With a huge win over Ortiz, could Swagger be setting his sights on the ECW Title?
When Finlay made mention of his tremendous family legacy in the business to call out Mark Henry and continue what they
started last week, the World’s Strongest Man used his words to corner both the Belfast Brawler and his son into a
dangerous situation. After implying that he would hurt Hornswoggle when Finlay least expected it, Henry proposed they
settle things in a tag team match next week – Finlay and Hornswoggle vs. Mark Henry and WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas.
With Alicia Fox getting down in his corner, newcomer DJ Gabriel danced his way to another victory, torpedoing through
Josh Daniels from the second turnbuckle for the devastating win.
At the conclusion of a grueling match between two long-time foes, Matt Hardy countered MVP’s Playmaker, hitting a Side

With Armageddon looming this Sunday, Superstars in the Land of Extreme waged war on ECW on Sci Fi.
John Morrison & The Miz came into their match riding a wave of success after going home with two Slammys last night on
Raw. (Slammy Awards) “The Dirt Sheet” duo kept up their winning ways by defeating Kung Fu Naki & Jimmy Wang Yang. Morrison
earned the win for his team by stopping Yang’s athletic offense with a springboard off the second rope.
After making quick work of Scott Reed, Boogeyman added insult to injury by “worming” the poor competitor. Who is next to

The stares before the match told the story. Finlay and Mark Henry don’t like each other. Playing the protector, Finlay did
his best to do most of the brawling for his team, keeping his son, Hornswoggle, in the corner. However, his fatherly role
ultimately led to his downfall. After pulling Hornswoggle out of harm’s way, Finlay fell victim to Henry’s World’s
Strongest Slam – and the full brunt of his 390-plus-pounds. As an added bonus, the WWE Universe was treated to seeing WWE
Hall of Famer Tony Atlas in action in the bout. Showing no ring rust, the Hall of Famer looked at home in the squared
circle.

The fallout from Armageddon carried over into the Land of Extreme, as ECW Champion Matt Hardy found himself not only
having to defend the name of his brother and new WWE Champion, Jeff Hardy, but his ECW Championship as well.
Chavo Guerrero got more than he bargained for when he followed orders from SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero to
“take care” of ECW Champion Matt Hardy on ECW. ECW Champion Matt Hardy kicked off ECW by congratulating his brother and new
WWE Champion Jeff Hardy. However, Chavo interrupted claiming Matt helped Jeff steal the WWE Championship from Edge. But
before more verbal barbs could be thrown at Hardy, ECW General Manager Theodore Long entered the arena to inform Chavo
that the two would square off right then and there in a title match. In the end, Chavo couldn’t back up his words as the
champion silenced the self-proclaimed “Mexican Warrior” with a Twist of Fate, successfully defending his title.
Fresh off a victory over Mark Henry in a Belfast Brawl at Armageddon, Finlay continued his winning ways by defeating Gavin
Spears with a Celtic Cross. And just like at Armageddon, Finlay’s good luck charm proved to be his son, Hornswoggle, who
was at ringside. The pint-sized prankster was up to his old tricks, splashing water on ECW announcer Matt Striker at the
start of the match, and stealing Striker’s “Announce Team of the Year” Slammy from the announce table.
CM Punk and Kofi Kingston came into the night’s match with an opportunity at avenging their loss of the World Tag Team
Championship to John Morrison and The Miz. Despite a valiant effort, it was the cocky youngster, "The All-American
American" Jack Swagger, who brought victory to his team by destroying Ricky Ortiz with a brutal gutwrench powerbomb.

As 2008 came to a close, the Superstars in the Land of the Extreme made their final bold statements as 2009 and the Royal
Rumble loom on the horizon.
The World Tag Team Champions kicked off ECW in the sold-out Verizon Wireless Arena with a special live edition of “The
Dirt Sheet.” After reminding the WWE Universe of their two Slammy Awards – as well as the World Tag Team and WWE Tag Team
titles they won in 2008 – the duo offered up their 2009 resolutions for fellow Superstars in typical “Dirt Sheet” style.
From the start, Mark Henry came at ECW Champion Matt Hardy with a powerful offense. It was clear that the World’s Strongest
Man wanted to end the year with a victory over his arch rival. But before Henry could finish off Hardy, Jack Swagger
interfered in the bout, driving Hardy to the canvas with a vicious gutwrench powerbomb. The maneuver immediately resulted
in a disqualification win for Hardy. Henry was not happy about how things ended, and let his emotions show by dropping the
ECW Champion with a World’s Strongest Slam after the match.
Making his first appearance on ECW, Paul Burchill was hoping for a strong showing. He did just that, delivering a good
beating to DJ Gabriel. But just when it looked like Burchill was going to pick up the win, Gabriel turned the tables with
a quick counter maneuver to get the pinfall over his fellow Superstar from Great Britain. The victory kept Gabriel’s
undefeated streak alive.
Finlay came into the tag team encounter against the World Tag Team Champions hoping for some payback for a 2-on-1 attack
he received earlier in the night on a live edition of “The Dirt Sheet.” In an unlikely pairing, the Belfast Brawler had
The Boogeyman at his side. The creepy Superstar from the Bottomless Pit saved Finlay once from getting pinned by Morrison.
After the near pinfall, Finlay fought back, but could not prevent the Tuesday Night Delight from picking up a win for his
team. After the match, the Fighting Irishman got some payback by dropping Morrison with a hard-hitting Celtic Cross.
