The new year started off with a bang as the champion Hardy brothers celebrated a win, while other Superstars have to await
Royal Rumble for their opportunity at glory.
Despite his loss, the Rated-R Superstar will have another opportunity at Jeff Hardy when the two square off in the main
event at Royal Rumble for the WWE Championship. The match was announced by Edge’s wife, SmackDown General Manager Vickie
Guerrero to kick off SmackDown.
Shortly after Guerrero announced the main event, she was coerced by Triple H into revealing that he would be one of the
entrants in the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match. But the bigger news – according to Triple H – is that there are nude photos of
the GM on eBay!
The Punjabi Giant and Fighting Irishman were too much of a force for the boys from Long Island, N.Y. Khali made Ryder one
with the canvas with a vicious chokeslam. After the match, Finlay followed up with a Celtic Cross to Hawkins. Then,
Hornswoggle got into the action with a Tadpole Splash to Hawkins to end the abuse.
Keying in on Festus’ injured knee, the team of Kendrick & Jackson went to work on dismantling the Corn-fed Colossus with a
series of attacks. When Jesse finally got his chance in the bout, he unloaded with a fast-paced offense. But, Jackson’s
power was too much for Jesse to handle.
Since making his SmackDown debut on April 4, the Moscow Mauler has lead a path of destruction through WWE. This night was
no different as he used his head as a battering ram to stop Helms cold and pick up another victory. Can Kozlov go unpinned
in 2009?
Jim Ross announced some of the other Superstars who will join Triple H in the 30-Man Royal Rumble. When Ross neglected to
mention Undertaker in his preliminary list of participants, The Deadman emerged in the ring to take out his anger on
Shelton Benjamin with a brutal chokeslam.
Last week, former Divas Champion Michelle McCool brutalized Maria in a stunning attack. This week, it was Eve who suffered
McCool’s wrath. After the blond bombshell feigned a heartfelt apology, she viciously turned on Eve and attacked her from
behind while she waved at fans at ringside.
MVP was visibly down in the dumps as he made a lackluster entrance into the arena. Kizarny capitalized on the downtrodden
Ballin’ Superstar to pick up a win on his SmackDown debut with a Double-arm DDT. After the bizarre Superstar picked up his
first win, Mr. Kennedy came out to rub it in MVP’s face … and of course plug his new movie, which comes out on Jan. 6 –
Behind Enemy Lines: Colombia.
WWE Champion Jeff Hardy and ECW Champion Matt Hardy looked confident coming into their match against two of WWE’s most
formidable opponents – former WWE Champion Edge and the 400-pound plus Big Show. The odds quickly shifted in the bout when
The World’s Largest Athlete strangely walked away from the ring and out of the arena. His exit left Edge having to take on
the two champions by himself. It was an onslaught even the Ultimate Opportunist could not survive. First, Matt dropped
Edge to the canvas with a Twist of Fate. Then, the crimson-faced WWE Champion delivered the final blow with a Swanton Bomb.

As WWE Champion Jeff Hardy addressed the WWE Universe following his involvement in a hit and run accident, SmackDown General Manager Vickie
Guerrero retaliated against Triple H for the humiliation she endured last week by forcing him to compete in Triple Jeopardy – a series of three
matches against unknown opponents.
The King of Kings set the tone early in his Triple Jeopardy bouts, reigning supreme over John Morrison by hurling the Shaman of Sexy off the
top turnbuckle and onto the unforgiving table outside the ring. After the match, The Miz distracted The Game while Chavo Guerrero attacked
him from behind, putting Triple H through a second table.
As the athletic Benjamin was attempting to spring himself backward from the turnbuckle, The Deadman caught him in midair, executing the
lethal Tombstone to seal the Gold Standard’s fate.
SmackDown aired exclusive footage from a police car on the scene of the WWE Champion’s accident.
The moment Brie tagged her sister into the match, Nikki scored a quick pinfall on the battle-weary Victoria with an Oklahoma Roll. Following
the match, an irate Michelle attacked her tag team partner, hitting Victoria with the Wings of Love.
Chavo Guerrero abandoned The Miz, refusing to accept his partner’s tag before leaving the squared circle entirely. This paved the way for
12-time World Champion to close the book on his second match of the night, hitting the self-proclaimed “Chick Magnet” with his devastating
Pedigree.
The V.I.P. lounge: MVP confronted Mr. Kennedy about his recent microphone abuse at the fledgling Franchise Playa’s expense. This was abruptly
interrupted when MVP found his VIP Lounge furniture being repossessed. After Mr. Kennedy suggested that things could be worse, Boogeyman
emerged to attack the Ballin’ Superstar and introduce him to his worms.
Shortly after Ezekiel Jackson was dropkicked out of the ring from behind, Carlito hit the Backstabber on The Brian Kendrick for the
championship victory.
In a pre-recorded message, Jeff Hardy addressed the WWE Universe concerning the hit and run accident that he and his girlfriend were the
victims of late last night. He assured his fans that he would return to SmackDown the following week and defend his championship against
Edge at Royal Rumble on Jan. 25.
Although The Game was somehow able to come back from Big Show’s vicious chokeslam onto the announce table, he could not beat the count
following The World’s Largest Athlete’s dreaded knockout punch. After the match, Vickie Guerrero emerged with the glare of victory in her eye.

Tragedy struck SmackDown suddenly and without warning as WWE Champion Jeff Hardy was injured on his way to the ring, while MVP finally
found triumph and WWE said goodbye to one of its own.
SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero gloated about putting Triple H through Triple Jeopardy one week ago for disrespecting her.
The Game then came to the ring to return the nude photos of her that he recovered. When Guerrero responded by creating a Last Man
Standing Match against Big Show - with The King of Kings Royal Rumble spot on the line - the 12-time World Champion proceeded to
show the nude photos on the TitanTron for all to see. Guerrero then announced that MVP would be the Superstar facing Big Show in
the match to determine if The Game would keep his spot, banning Triple H from ringside for good measure.
Once Finlay removed Mark Henry from the equation with a hard crack of the shillelagh, Matt Hardy hit Jack Swagger with a Twist of Fate.
As a result, he gained a tag team win on the Superstar that took the ECW Championship away from him on ECW on Sci Fi. Will the same result
take place when the two face off in a rematch for the Extreme Championship at the Royal Rumble?
In a match between two Royal Rumble participants, R-Truth earned a hard-fought victory over The Kendrick with his Corkscrew Scissors Kick.
His victory was short-lived however, as Ezekiel Jackson attacked R-Truth from behind, leaving him on the canvas.
In a Last Man Standing Match almost as brutal as MVP’s losing streak, the Ballin’ Superstar finally proved victorious, after Big Show could
not answer the 10-count. When the two Superstars carried the exhausting match away from the ring and up the entrance ramp, Triple H - seeing
the opportunity to liberate himself from his ringside ban - charged in and knocked out The World’s Largest Athlete with the sledgehammer.
Will The Game continue to repel Guerrero’s attacks when he faces the undefeated Vladimir Kozlov on next week’s SmackDown?
After Michelle McCool attacked Victoria at the conclusion of their tag team match against the Bella Twins one week ago, the two Divas squared
off in what would be the former Women’s Champion’s final match before retiring from WWE. Although Victoria fought heroically, in the end her
battle-weary leg could not support Michelle long enough to execute the Widow’s Peak, opening the door for the former Divas Champion to hit
her devastating Faithbreaker for the victory.
As Jeff Hardy was approaching the ring to be the guest of his Royal Rumble opponent, the Rated-R Superstar, on “The Cutting Edge,”
something with his pyrotechnics display went horribly wrong, surrounding him in a sea of sparks and flames; causing him to collapse
to the ground in excruciating pain. As the smoke cleared, the reality set in to the WWE Universe that the black cloud that surrounded
Jeff Hardy toward the end of 2008 is continuing to follow him in 2009. The show came to a frantic close as the bedlam ensued.

With just two days before the 22nd Royal Rumble and an announcement that someone tampered with the pyrotechnics display responsible for
leaving WWE Champion Jeff Hardy "battered, bruised and burned” one week ago, the unexpected engulfed every aspect of SmackDown.
Although Edge denied involvement in Jeff Hardy’s pyrotechnics “accident,” - informing the WWE Universe he didn't need to do such things to
beat him - Matt Hardy charged in to attack the Rated-R Superstar and chase him into the crowd. SmackDown General Manager Vickie
Guerrero then informed her husband that she was putting him into a No Disqualification Match with Hardy later on SmackDown.
Despite Benjamin’s never wavering spirit in a grueling match against The Phenom, Undertaker once again exhibited the darkness of defeat onto
one of his 29 Royal Rumble opponents, locking the Gold Standard into the dreaded fury of Hell’s Gate. Although The Deadman’s submission hold
continues to spread its menace across SmackDown, will it prove to be any help at all as Undertaker looks to win the Royal Rumble Match this
Sunday?
After refuting insinuations that he is nothing more than Vickie Guerrero’s “go-fer,” Chavo Guerrero failed to defend his family's name
against The Great Khali, who reigned supreme over the self-proclaimed Mexican Warrior with the Punjabi Plunge.
Over the past several weeks, Michelle McCool has laid siege on any Diva she has felt was “jealous” of her. But this week, while Michelle was
teaming with Natalya against the Bella Twins - with new Divas Champion Maryse sitting ringside as a guest commentator - Maria charged in to
attack McCool, dishing out some payback on the former Divas Champion both inside and outside the ring. Only when Natalya got involved did
Michelle take control, viciously slamming Maria into the barrier and leaving with a smile.
In an exclusive pre-taped interview with Jim Ross, Jeff Hardy rejected any suggestion that his pyrotechnics “accident” was an accident at all,
nor was his hit and run and his hotel stairwell attack. Hardy placed the blame squarely on the shoulders of his Royal Rumble opponent Edge,
before vowing that he will be at the pay-per-view to defend his championship against the Ultimate Opportunist.
After a brutal match that employed everything from trash cans to kendo sticks, Matt’s own Rumble opponent - ECW Champion Jack Swagger – and
Royal Rumble Match participant Mark Henry interfered, attacking Hardy before the Ultimate Opportunist triumphed over him with the spear.
In a Champion vs. Champion Tag Team Match, after Primo was exiled from the ring, Carlito hit the Backstabber on the Shaman of Sexy. However,
before he realized that Miz had been tagged into the match and was in fact the legal man, the self-proclaimed “Chick Magnet” rolled him up
for the quick victory.
Just two days before their participation in the Royal Rumble Match, Vickie Guerrero placed Triple H in a match against the
undefeated Vladimir Kozlov. However, she neglected to mention until long after the match was underway that the Moscow Mauler would have a tag
team partner in Big Show, making it a Handicap Match. As The Game attempted to hit the Pedigree, Big Show smashed him in the back of the head,
opening the door for Vladimir Kozlov to hurl The King of Kings to the canvas for the victory.

The struggle for the WWE Championship hits Friday night at full force. As new WWE Champion Edge returned to SmackDown, three Elimination
Chamber Qualifying Matches were held to determine who will join the Rated-R Superstar at No Way Out on the Road to WrestleMania XXV. But,
despite the exciting quest for the gold, the dominating thought of the WWE Universe seemed to be simply, “Why Matt? Why?”
A very embittered Matt Hardy appeared before the WWE Universe - chair in hand - to offer no remorse about smashing his brother Jeff in the
head at the Royal Rumble and costing him the WWE Championship in the process. Although he stated it could not be proven that he caused any of
Jeff’s other misfortunes over the past several months, he made it clear that attacking Jeff was no accident. Matt proceeded to blame Jeff’s
irresponsible nature and the WWE Universe’s inability to like him as much as his brother. He then informed the WWE Universe that he no longer
considers Jeff Hardy a partner or a sibling.
With Ezekiel Jackson shockingly being ejected from ringside before the opening bell, R-Truth showed The Kendrick “what’s up,” hitting him
with the Ax Kick for the big win.
After breaking his 20-week losing streak against Big Show in a Last Man Standing Match two weeks ago, MVP extended his victorious run to two
in a row, defeating Chavo Guerrero with the full impact of the Drive-by Kick. Afterward, the reinvigorated Ballin’ Superstar informed Tazz
that things are poppin’ once more, and he is setting his sights on getting “his” United States Championship back.
Umaga made his highly anticipated return to the squared-circle with a renewed intensity, finishing off his slaughter of Jimmy Wang Yang with
the Samoan Spike. The Samoan Bulldozer has officially served notice that he plans to pick up where he left off.
At the height of a grueling match with the World’s Strongest Man, The Phenom triumphed over Mark Henry with the dreaded Hell’s Gate, granting
himself clear passage into the Elimination Chamber at No Way Out.
Moments after Edge rubbed the WWE Universe’s nose in the fact that he wasn’t the one who had caused all the recent misfortunes to Jeff Hardy
over the past several months and about returning to SmackDown the seven-time WWE Champion, Big Show decided to interrupt. The World’s Largest
Athlete delivered a loving bear hug to Edge’s wife as well as more than a passing glance at the Rated-R Superstar’s newly acquired gold.
This preceded Big Show’s impressive victory over Festus, defeating the Corn-fed Colossus with the knockout punch while putting himself in the
Elimination Chamber at No Way Out. After the match, Big Show’s wrath expanded to Jesse, who suffered a chokeslam for no other reason than
being there.
With the odds once again stacked against The Game in a Triple Threat Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match, the 12-time World Champion reigned
supreme over both Vladimir Kozlov & The Great Khali. After pulling the top rope down to send the Moscow Mauler flying from the ring, The King
of Kings hit The Great Khali with the Pedigree and snatched his qualifying triumph.

This week on SmackDown, four No Way Out WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match opponents battled it out, another snatched
the final Chamber spot with pure force and a chilling proclamation, and the announcement rang out that former WWE Champion Jeff Hardy will
make his return to SmackDown next week.
The Moscow Mauler tossed out The Great Khali, WWE Tag Team Champions Carlito & Primo, and R-Truth consecutively to win the SmackDown Battle
Royal in convincing fashion and claim the final spot in the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match at No Way Out. He then made the
proclamation that he would become WWE Champion inside ten tons of steel. Kozlov also outlasted United States Champion Shelton Benjamin, MVP,
Kung Fu Naki, Scotty Goldman, Kizarny, Jesse, Chavo Guerrero, Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder.
As the WWE Universe anxiously awaits the return of Jeff Hardy, Hurricane Helms made it clear to Todd Grisham that he was gunning for Matt
Hardy after his actions against Jeff at the Royal Rumble. Matt then called his long-time friend out, inciting a knock down, drag out brawl
between the two Superstars that ended with Helms in an unconscious state in the center of the ring.
MVP continued his winning streak with a devastating Drive-by Kick and a straight up ballin’ triumph over United States Champion Shelton
Benjamin. Could the non-title victory earn the reinvigorated Ballin’ Superstar an opportunity at the Gold Standard’s United States title?
Amidst a whirlwind of battle by all six Superstars, The Miz caused a distraction that allowed The Brian Kendrick to hit Carlito with The
Kendrick for the win.
Eve showed a great deal of heart in her first match, before eventually tapping out to Michelle’s excruciating heel hook. However, when the
former Divas Champion wouldn’t let go of the hold, Maria sprinted down to Eve’s rescue. Nevertheless, Michelle left the ring with smiling
satisfaction that she was able to give Eve a painful defeat and debut.
The Samoan Bulldozer continued to run roughshod over SmackDown, decimating Kung Fu Naki with the Samoan Spike for his second annihilating
victory since returning to WWE.
Before a tag team match featuring four of the six WWE Championship Elimination Chamber participants, SmackDown General Manager Vickie
Guerrero told Big Show that if he walked out on Edge the way he did the last time they tagged together, he would be out of the championship
match at No Way Out. After a grueling bout, a disagreement between the two reluctant partners prompted The World’s Largest Athlete to deliver
the Knockout Punch to the Rated-R Superstar. The Game then tagged in Undertaker, who hit Edge with the Tombstone Piledriver for the pin. Big
Show wasted no time leaving the champion’s corner the second the bell rang.

Just two days before No Way Out, four of the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match participants fought it out in a Fatal Four Way, while
another made his heroic return to SmackDown. But, in the midst of the pomp and circumstance, the opportunistic WWE Champion once again found a
way to come out on top and steal the thunder from all of them.
After Chavo Guerrero eliminated MVP in last week’s SmackDown Battle Royal, the reinvigorated Franchise Playa’ was out for some payback. But,
just as he was rallying from a hard-fought match, United States Champion Shelton Benjamin emerged from nowhere to deliver Pay Dirt, getting
some retribution of his own after losing to MVP in a non-title match last week. However, this gave MVP the win by disqualification, continuing
his winning streak. The self-proclaimed “Mexican warrior,” Chavo Guerrero decided to add insult to injury, hitting the unconscious Ballin’
Superstar with the Frog Splash and raising his own arms in victory.
Carlito and Primo failed to get Nikki & Brie Bella flowers for Valentine’s Day. But, Miz & Morrison did not. This prompted a match to
determine which tag team champions would take out the Bella Twins on Valentine’s Day night. With the referee distracted, Miz threw Primo
from the top rope, setting up Morrison for the victory. Following the loss, Nikki & Brie exited ringside with the “Dirt Sheet” duo, leaving
Carlito & Primo without the win or the Divas.
Seemingly recovered from the shocking attack by his brother Matt Hardy that cost him his WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble several weeks
ago, Jeff Hardy made his return to SmackDown. Although he acknowledged that the events of recent weeks have affected him deeply, he told the
WWE Universe that he intends to look forward, and is 100 percent focused on regaining his gold at No Way Out this Sunday
Despite a powerful onslaught by the intimidating Jackson, R-Truth ended Ezekiel’s undefeated record, reversing The Brian Kendrick’s
associate’s ura-nage finisher for the quick pin.
After being attacked weeks ago by Michelle McCool, Maria was out to even the score. Michelle, however, had every intention of continuing her
vicious wrath upon SmackDown Divas, targeting Maria’s injured ankle throughout their match. After her loss in debut singles action to McCool
last week, Eve charged down the entrance ramp to help her friend Maria in any way she could. Michelle immediately started bullying the 2007
Diva Search winner, but Eve would not back down. However, the distraction created when McCool threw Eve into the ring allowed Maria to roll
the former Divas Champion up for the three-count.
WWE Champion Edge placed the blame for the neck injury he claimed to have sustained one week ago at the hands of Undertaker squarely on the
shoulders of his tag team partner, Big Show. SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero wasted no time announcing that she would not risk her
husband competing until No Way Out this Sunday. However, after Big Show interrupted them and exchanged harsh words with the champion, Guerrero
had no trouble informing him that he would be in a Fatal Four Way Match with three of his Elimination Chamber opponents: The Game, the Moscow
Mauler, and The Phenom. In the critical climax of the grueling back and forth battle between four of WWE’s most dominant Superstars, the
Ultimate Opportunist suddenly dove into the action, spearing The World’s Largest Athlete to snatch the momentum heading into No Way Out.

In the stunning wake of No Way Out, an Ultimate Opportunist brings the World Heavyweight Championship back to SmackDown, a brother’s hatred
fuels another vicious insurgence and a restored king makes a furious decree.
Maryse made her return to action, entering into a seemingly bittersweet tag team partnership with the foe she defeated for the Divas
Championship, Michelle McCool. While Eve was mounting an offense on Maryse in the corner and the referee was distracted by getting Maria out
of the ring, Michelle delivered a powerful kick to Eve’s head, paving the way for Maryse to pick up the win.
WWE Tag Team Champions Carlito & Primo disguised themselves as waiters to disturb the Valentine’s Day date that Miz & Morrison won with Nikki
& Brie Bella one week ago. But their plan ended in disaster when The Colons accidentally threw two pies into the Bella Twins’ faces. Next
week, Carlito and Primo will defend their Tag Team Championships against the “Dirt Sheet” duo. If Miz & Morrison can prove victorious, they
will become the Undisputed Tag Team Champions.
Following the sneak attack by the Gold Standard last week and post-match Frog Splash by Chavo Guerrero, MVP attempted to recruit tag team
partner R-Truth to extract his revenge. However, Benjamin & Guerrero took out R-Truth as he was making his entrance, prompting the Ballin’
Superstar to take both on in a Handicap Match. When Benjamin tagged himself in just as Guerrero was closing in on the win, Chavo turned his
outrage on his partner. He hit the Gold Standard with the Frog Splash before taking off, leaving MVP to execute the Drive-By on the dazed
United States Champion. As a result, MVP added another victory to his winning streak as the race for the United States Championship continues
to heat up.
In an exclusive interview, Triple H told J.R. that when Randy Orton put his hands on his wife, Stephanie McMahon – following weeks of attacks
on the McMahon family - he "crossed the line" that he can never come back from. The Game was too upset to finish the interview, ripping the
microphone from his shirt and leaving without a word. However, with word that The King of Kings will be at Raw to confront Orton this Monday
night, one can only speculate on the horrific ramifications that will follow.
Umaga decimated Scotty Goldman as he has every Superstar that has crossed his path since his return to WWE. Despite some comical words by
Goldman about his opponent Umaga prior to the match, he wasn’t laughing for long. Umaga laid waste to Goldman, hitting a combination
chokeslam, Samoan Spike for another impressive victory.
After making history by competing in two Elimination Chamber matches in one night at No Way Out, new World Heavyweight Champion Edge made his
gleeful return to Friday Night SmackDown. When the Rated-R Superstar denied the emerging Jeff Hardy his challenge, Hardy ridiculed the
champion’s relationship with his wife before hitting him with a Twist of Fate. An embarrassed Edge then told General Manager Vickie
Guerrero that he would be facing Hardy later that night. At the climax of their whirlwind match, Hardy hit Edge with the Swanton Bomb.
Victory seemed imminent for the high-flying Superstar, when from out of nowhere, Matt Hardy attacked, hitting his brother with a Twist of

As The Road to WrestleMania continues, sibling rivalry and surprise victories of epic proportions were abound as one of SmackDown’s favorite
sons returned to get his gold back, only to come face-to-face with a very “big” problem.
After John Cena warned World Heavyweight Champion Edge on Monday Night Raw that he wanted his rematch and was going to follow the Rated-R
Superstar anywhere he tried to hide, the former SmackDown Superstar returned to Friday nights to force the issue. But, SmackDown General
Manager Vickie Guerrero once again threw a monkey wrench in Cena’s plans, declaring that instead of her husband, the former World Champion
would have to face the mighty Big Show.
Following their non-title victory over Carlito & Primo two weeks ago, Miz & Morrison were granted an opportunity at the WWE Tag Team
Championships. But, after Primo knocked down Miz outside the ring, Carlito thwarted the “Dirt Shirt” duo’s fevered attempt to become the
undisputed tag team champions, drilling Morrison with a sudden Backstabber. Not only did the WWE Tag Team Champions successfully defend their
coveted titles, but they also left with their favorite Divas, the Bella Twins.
In a stunning turn of events, Vladimir Kozlov - undefeated in singles competition - pinned the legendary Phenom. As Undertaker was balancing
himself on the top rope to set up Deadman Walking, the Moscow Mauler suddenly countered, executing a devastating powerslam that led to the
three-count heard round the world. This Monday on Raw, Kozlov and Shawn Michaels will square off to settle once and for all who has earned
the right to try and break the undefeated WrestleMania streak of The Deadman at the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania.
One week ago, Matt Hardy had interrupted his brother, Jeff, hitting the Twist of Fate before challenging him to a Brother vs. Brother Match
this week. But, it was not meant to be, at least not on this week’s SmackDown. After Matt was announced, Jeff emerged in his street clothes
and unsuccessfully appealed to the elder Hardy’s reason. Despite Matt’s persistent verbal attacks and two humiliating slaps to his face, Jeff
refused to engage his own flesh and blood. Instead, he walked away from the ring without further comment, leaving Matt alone with his
unrelenting fury.
This week, the complexity of the United States Championship picture continued to intensify. It all started when Montel Vontavious Porter
carried his recent winning streak down to ringside to join Jim Ross and Tazz at the announce table. Throughout Benjamin’s match with
Guerrero, the Gold Standard seemed more interested in MVP than his opponent. He soon acted on this, hurling Guerrero into the Ballin’
Superstar outside the ring. But, Benjamin’s obsession soon backfired when the self-proclaimed “Mexican Warrior” finally took advantage of his
foe’s distraction and executed a quick counter for the win. Before the smoke could clear, the Franchise Playa’ entered the ring and hit the
Drive-By Kick on the dazed and confused Benjamin.
After showing tremendous resilience in a grueling battle of unrelenting punishment administered by The World’s Largest
Athlete, Cena allowed himself to be distracted by the emerging Ultimate Opportunist. As he turned his back for a few critical seconds, Big
Show blasted him with a devastating knockout punch and an authoritative chokeslam for the victory.

The tension throughout WWE continued to intensify at Mohegan Sun Arena as the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania looms on the horizon. On

of revenge and outright meanness.
After Shawn Michaels overcame Vladimir Kozlov this past Monday night to win the right to face Undertaker at the 25th Anniversary of
WrestleMania, the legendary Deadman emerged to accept HBK’s challenge. And when a video compilation of Michaels’ WrestleMania history
interrupted The Phenom, the Superstar with a 16 – 0 WrestleMania streak made the chilling warning that he was the wrong Superstar to play
mind games with.
Prior to his match, Matt Hardy proclaimed that even though his brother, Jeff, didn’t wish to face him, he would not be able to run from him.
He vowed to qualify for the WrestleMania Money in the Bank Ladder Match, destroy the seven other Superstars and finally become a World
Champion. But, much to his chagrin, his opponent MVP was instead able to further his new-found winning streak, countering Hardy’s Twist of
Fate to score a victory over his long-time foe, solidifying his place at the WrestleMania table. However, Matt Hardy’s night would not end
there.
Following Maryse’s victory over Eve with the DDT, Women’s Champion Melina - who Maryse had attacked from behind on Monday Night Raw - charged
to the ring and unleashed her fury on the Divas Champion. And though Michelle McCool appeared to be staying out of the action, joining Tazz
and Jim Ross at the announce table, her neutrality was short-lived. While Melina was busy with Maryse, the former Divas Champion slid her way
into the ring, delivering a massive kick to Melina from behind. In the end, Michelle left both war-torn champions down for the count.
Before SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero could get the contract signing underway, World Heavyweight Champion Edge demanded to know
the true definition of her relationship with Big Show. But, after a heated exchange of words between The Rated-R Superstar and The World’s
Largest Athlete, it looked like their match would become official. That was until John Cena interrupted the gathering, laying waste to both
Superstars. The former World Champion then whispered something into Guerrero’s ear that was not audible to the WWE Universe, but clearly
shook the General Manager to her core. Later, a very upset Guerrero informed her husband that she was moving the contract signing to Monday
Night Raw, leaving the WWE Universe with more questions than answers.
After missing his chance at Money in the Bank, Matt Hardy decided to bring the same fate upon his brother. Once Jeff Hardy had executed the
Twist of Fate on The Gold Standard, Matt calmly walked to the ring without a word and delivered a single punch to the reeling United States
Champion, causing Jeff’s disqualification. For the second time, Matt Hardy intentionally squashed his brother’s dreams.
Although Randy Orton set the stipulation on Monday Night Raw that Triple H could not touch him without being provoked until their epic
encounter at WrestleMania, that didn’t stop “Legacy” from coming after The Game this Friday. After The King of Kings had hurled Umaga over
the top rope and onto the floor, Orton, Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes emerged from the crowd, stalking the ring like a pack of wolves. Once
they moved in, the 13-time World Champion launched a fierce counter-offensive, trying to hold off Legacy both in and outside the ring. But
his dangerous adversaries were unrelenting, finishing their target off with four vicious kicks to the head by Orton, leaving Triple H
completely annihilated.

This week on SmackDown, undertakings of intense redemption, matrimonial fallout, extreme family dysfunction, triumph teamwork in defense of
gold, and qualification against all odds all served as hazard signs on the epic road to the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania.
An emotionally affected Rated-R Superstar resurfaced for the first time since John Cena revealed security footage on Monday Night Raw of his
wife - SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero - kissing Big Show. And from the moment Edge entered the ring, he seemed distracted, as if
his thoughts were completely consumed by the state of his marriage and his WrestleMania opponents in the World Heavyweight Championship
Triple Treat Match (Match preview). Kofi Kingston, however, only had revenge on his mind after The Ultimate Opportunist’s attack at No Way
Out that cost him his Elimination Chamber spot and allowed Edge to capture the title. But despite the determined Raw Superstar’s thirst for
retribution and an extremely hard fought match, Edge’s sharpshooter was Ja-makin’ Kofi crazy enough to tap out.
Two weeks after The Colon brothers successfully defended their WWE Tag Team Championships against Miz & Morrison, the “Dirt Sheet” duo
returned the favor in spades. As both Primo and Miz were being taken out of the action, The Shaman of Sexy took full advantage of the
turmoil, hitting Carlito with the Moonlight Drive for the win. After the match, the Bella Twins once again abandoned the WWE Champions
and left with the victors.
The tension surrounding the United States Championship has been reaching epic proportions over the past couple months. And it only promises
to become more intense during the weeks to come. After The Ballin’ Superstar threw the interfering Chavo Guerrero from the ring, The Gold
Standard struck with Pay Dirt, allowing him to reign supreme over his fellow WrestleMania Money in the Bank participant.
After referencing Jeff Hardy's suspension and alluding to the fact that he may have caused the awful events that have continued the black
cloud hanging over Jeff Hardy’s head – the stairwell attack and the car and pyrotechnics “accidents” – an incensed Matt Hardy produced
from his pocket the burned dog collar of Jack, Jeff’s dog that died in his house fire. Without music or fireworks paving the way for his
entrance, Jeff made a subdued, yet determined entrance. Before long, Jeff finally gave in and attacked Matt with reckless abandon.
Although Matt looked as if he might show some remorse in that instant, the traces of a menacing smile crept on his lips as he walked up
the metal ramp, implying otherwise. Later, the shocking announcement rang forth that Jeff and Matt Hardy will settle sibling rivalry at
WrestleMania.
Any time an athlete of Women’s Champion Melina’s caliber visits SmackDown to team with Maria against Divas Champion Marie and Michelle, the
WWE Universe has to expect the unexpected. But when Michelle wouldn’t extend her arm to tag into the match, Maryse got more than she bargained
for, falling to Melina and her inside cradle. After the bell, Maryse and Michelle decided to keep the action going, brawling in a whirlwind of
Diva brutality.
Despite being sucker punched by Ezekiel Jackson before the opening bell and falling prey to his numerous distractions thereafter, Finlay
ultimately denied The Brain Kendrick his finishing maneuver of the same name. And after The Belfast Brawler powered his way over The
Kendrick with the quick and painful Celtic Cross, Finlay stood in triumph, knowing that he had captured the last coveted spot in the
WrestleMania Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
After shocking the WWE Universe by getting pinned by The Moscow Mauler two weeks ago, The Deadman redeemed himself with absolute fury,
crushing Vladimir Kozlov’s undefeated record on SmackDown with the destructive force of his Tombstone Piledriver. The decisive victory gives
The Phenom a firestorm of momentum in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania, and echoes his haunting message to opponent Shawn Michaels that
“it can be hell trying to get to heaven.”

As SmackDown celebrated its historic 500th episode, a love triangle took a painful turn, The Game grew more intense, a new champion was
crowned, extreme passion rang forth, heartbreaking music was played out, and complete submission was demanded in an incredible
extravaganza on The Road to the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania.
With retribution toward his WrestleMania opponent Randy Orton consuming him, Triple H denounced the past claims that Orton’s illness had
caused him to attack his wife, Stephanie McMahon. He proclaimed that on The Grandest Stage of Them All, he will “cure” the “disease” that
is The Legend Killer. The King of Kings then emphasized his point, hitting The Pedigree to reign supreme in a hard-fought match with The
Moscow Mauler. Though Kozlov brought his impressive record and every bit of his unbridled intensity to the table, it was not enough to check
the ultimate fury of The Game.
Despite the outstanding efforts and tremendous skill of United States Champion Shelton Benjamin, MVP brought his comeback full circle,
recapturing the prestigious title from his fellow WrestleMania Money in the Bank participant. Since The Ballin’ Superstar turned his
fortune around and began an unbelievable winning streak, he has been on a quest to recapture “his” gold from The Gold Standard. But
now that The Franchise Playa’ is back on top, will he be able to rise even higher and claim the Money in the Bank Briefcase?
As HBK prepares himself to try and destroy the undefeated WrestleMania streak of Undertaker, he took on the daunting task of toppling his
monstrous brother Kane. Michaels came back from certain peril to defend The Big Red Machine with the stunning sound of Sweet Chin Music.
Though HBK has never lost a one-on-one match to The Phenom, will it be enough to carry him forth to break the most fearful winning streak
in WrestleMania history?
As a prelude to Jeff Hardy’s WrestleMania Extreme Rules Match against his brother Matt Hardy, the driven Charismatic Enigma took the extreme
battle to both The Brian Kendrick and his ringside associate Ezekiel Jackson. After decimating Jackson with the steel chair with fire in his
eyes, Hardy turned his favorite implement of destruction on The Kendrick. He planted his opponent’s head onto the unforgiving steel with a
Twist of Fate before sealing his victory over The Kendrick with his roaring Swanton Bomb. And as extreme as it was, that carnage is nothing
compared to what could happen when Jeff unleashes his fury on his elder brother.
Later that night, the legendary Deadman made the incomparable Intercontinental Champion JBL tap out to his horrific Devil’s Triangle. This
monumental victory sent another resounding message to his WrestleMania opponent Shawn Michaels. Will Mr. WrestleMania fall to the most
dreaded submission hold in WWE?
After being speared on Monday Night Raw, Big Show challenged World Heavyweight Champion Edge to come out and face him. However, SmackDown
General Manager Vickie Guerrero interrupted their confrontation to inform the two love-sick Superstars that she was in love with them both,
and the winner of their WrestleMania match will be the champion of her heart. But as she was engineering a truce, John Cena emerged to remind
the three victims of Cupid’s arrow that he is also in the Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania (Match preview), refueling the conflict between
The Rated-R Superstar and The World’s Largest Athlete in the process. After Big Show accidentally shoved Guerrero amidst the turmoil, Edge
went for the spear, only to inadvertently hit his wife when Big Show moved. The fireworks continued and Big Show chokeslammed The Ultimate
Opportunist, carrying Guerrero out of the ring.

Just nine crucial days before the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania, Shawn Michaels dared to show the lighter side of Undertaker, Christian
fell for his fellow Money in the Bank participants and John Cena tried to deal with a very large problem.
The Big Red Machine delivered a devastating chokeslam to CM Punk after catching The Straightedge Superstar while he was lunging at him from
the turnbuckle. But once the final bell rang - in a WrestleMania prelude - a free-for-all between the eight Superstars ensued. When Christian
tried to make his own WrestleMania statement by producing a ladder and climbing it high to the Money in the Bank briefcase, Finlay tipped
over the 20-foot ladder. Captain Charisma took a freefall onto his six other WrestleMaia opponents outside the ring, while Finlay made a
climb of his own to touch the briefcase he soon hopes to make his.
In preparation for the World Heavyweight Championship Triple Threat Match with World Champion Edge and John Cena, Big Show viciously
administered his knockout blow to both The Corn-Fed Colossus and Jesse to dominate a completely one-sided Handicap Match. The look of
unchecked destruction consumed The World’s Largest Athlete’s eyes as he made his way out of the ring. But Big Show was not done for the night.
Rey Mysterio geared up to face Intercontinental Champion John Bradshaw Layfield at WrestleMania by scoring a huge win over
Chavo Guerrero. After Guerrero missed with the family Frog Splash, Mysterio connected with the 619, followed by a spectacular splash off the
top rope. After the match however, JBL appeared to make a statement of his own, flooring his WrestleMania opponent with a runaway boot to the
face from nowhere.
Even as John Cena’s film 12 Rounds opened in theatres across America today, the former champion's mind was focused on the phenomenon that is
WrestleMania. He addressed the love triangle between his two WrestleMania opponents – The Rated-R Superstar and The World’s Largest Athlete -
and SmackDown General Vickie Guerrero. Above all else, he showed absolute determination in his quest to walk out of WrestleMania the World
Heavyweight Champion. Big Show interrupted to challenge Cena to a match on Monday Night Raw, which Cena quickly accepted. But as a satisfied
Big Show stepped over the top rope to leave, Cena grabbed hold of his enormous leg and tossed his gigantic WrestleMania opponent off the ring
apron and to the floor. Has Cena simply added fuel to the fire?
After Matt Hardy showed the presence of mind to avoid R-Truth’s trademark scissors kick, he silenced him with the Twist of Fate. However,
despite the win, the menace continues to consume Hardy’s eyes as he prepares to face his brother Jeff on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
As Morrison was hoisting Carlito up in the air for the suplex, the Southpaw from San Juan suddenly reversed it in mid-air and delivered the
Backstabber for the victory. Prior to the bell, the ring was cleared when Primo sent Miz to the floor and Brie Bella did the same to her
sister, Nikki. Will the WWE Tag Team Champions have the same luck when they attempt to unify the tag team titles at 25th Anniversary of
WrestleMania?
After weeks of anticipation, Gail Kim returned to WWE. As Michelle McCool was gaining an advantage over the war-torn Maryse, Kim came from
nowhere to hit the former Divas Champion with a relentless dropkick off the top rope. She then followed up by hitting Maryse with a
neckbreaker. With both Divas lying at her feet, Kim held Maryse’s title high above her head, making her SmackDown intentions very clear.
The Showstopper paid a special "tribute" to his WrestleMania opponent, Undertaker, making his entrance in the spirit of the bizarro world
where everything is opposite. He slowly walked to the ring wearing a long white coat, white pants, white shirt, a lowered white hat and white
padded gloves. He even surrounded himself with druids in white hoods as smoke consumed the air in every direction. Michaels spoke of thriving
in the spotlight throughout his career while Undertaker had flourished in the shadows. He assured the WWE Universe that he is not afraid of
The Deadman because he has eternal life. However, even HBK’s spectacular entrance soon got buried by that of The Phenom. Undertaker suddenly
burst through the ring floor with a vengeance; nearly chokeslamming Mr. WrestleMania before Michaels scrambled to safety with a satisfied
look on his face. One week from this Sunday, words will be over and only one iconic Superstar will survive.

Just two days before more than 70,000 members of the WWE Universe pack Reliant Stadium to the rafters – with millions upon millions more
watching the global phenomenon at home - SmackDown switched into overdrive on The Road to the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania.
Maria teamed with the electrifying Gail Kim, who launched Michelle out of the ring before delivering a beautiful double-arm neckbreaker to
Maryse for the win. The victory came just one week after the dynamic Diva returned to SmackDown to torpedo the Divas Championship Match.
But has Gail built up enough momentum to outlast 24 of the Sexiest Women on Television and win the Miss WrestleMania title in the Diva
Battle Royal?
Despite a vicious neckbreaker off the top rope by The Gold Standard, The Franchise Playa’ roared back, nailing Benjamin with The Playmaker to
retain his gold in convincing fashion. Now that The Ballin’ Superstar has overcome the former champion, will he have what it takes to prove
triumphant in the WrestleMania Money in the Bank Match Ladder Match this Sunday? Or could Benjamin’s experience in the most
dangerous of WrestleMania traditions carry him to the top of the ladder?
After hitting Jackson with the Twist of Fate, the extreme-charged Hardy nailed The Brian Kendrick’s associate with the Swanton Bomb for the
win. Even as his hand was being raised, an unsatisfied Hardy was left chomping at the bit in anticipation of his Extreme Rules Match with his
brother, Matt Hardy, on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

In the explosive wake of the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania, Theodore Long returned to Friday nights to once again take his place as the
General Manager of SmackDown. And his first decision was a bit of a “stretch.”
Fresh off his Extreme Rules victory over his brother at WrestleMania, Matt Hardy looked to “erase Jeff from WWE.” He demanded that
Jeff come to the ring and apologize to him and the WWE Universe for being an “extreme disappointment,” or he would end up leaving the ring
on a stretcher. After Jeff emerged to chase Matt from the squared-circle, the returning Teddy Long made Matt’s choice of words into a reality.
After coming up short in his WrestleMania bid to win the World Heavyweight Championship (recap), Big Show took out his frustration and anger
by delivering the knockout punch in mid-air to Kofi Kingston. Though Kingston gave a tremendously valiant effort in his attempt to overcome
The World’s Largest Athlete, in the end, he would suffer a giant disappointment.
Due to recent events surrounding Santino’s emerging “sister” Santina, Santino arrived on SmackDown to issue an open challenge and show any
Friday night Superstar who wished to face him that Santina wasn’t the only Marella sibling to be afraid of. The Great Khali answered the call.
When Ranjin Singh explained that Khali would not hurt Santino if Santina would be his guest on Khali's Kiss Cam, Santino declined, insulting
The Punjabi Playboy profusely in the process. So, the bell was rung and Santino ended up taking the painful Punjabi Plunge.
Gail Kim reversed Michelle McCool's pin attempt to win a hard-fought victory over the former Divas Champion. After Gail missed a dropkick off
the top rope, Michelle looked to have things going her way. But as she went for the cover, Gail’s quick thinking – and quicker action –
prevailed.
With John Cena seated before him – and their Last Man Standing Match for the World Heavyweight Championship at Backlash looming – Edge told
the World Champion that he had stolen “his” title and that he completely hates Cena. Cena informed The Rated-R Superstar that what he really
hates is the truth; that no matter how many times Edge has knocked him down throughout their epic rivalry, he has kept coming at him and
always will. The Champ then offered to give The Ultimate Opportunist a free shot to prove his point, but Edge wouldn’t take it. Instead, he
simply backed up and walked away.
DiBiase's distraction of Carlito allowed Cody Rhodes to hit the devastating Cross Rhodes on the Southpaw from San Juan. After the match,
Rhodes & DiBiase continued to attack the Unified WWE Tag Team Champions, when Randy Orton emerged to survey the damage. The Legend Killer
then gave a frightening account of what will happen when Legacy meets WWE Champion Triple H, Shane McMahon and the returning Batista at
Backlash with the gold at stake.
In the culmination of the Hardys' excruciating Stretcher Match, Matt moved out of the way at the last second, causing Jeff to Swanton Bomb
himself down onto an empty, unforgiving stretcher frame outside the ring. After Matt finished him off with a painful chair shot, he claimed
victory by pushing his fallen brother up the ramp. Once his arms were raised in unsettling triumph, Matt sent Jeff hurling back down the
ramp, causing the stretcher to smash into the ring below.

With Backlash just nine days away, emotions ran high on the first edition of SmackDown since the 2009 WWE Draft. The Animal unleashed his
rage on his Backlash opponent, Ted DiBiase, while WWE Champion Triple H vowed to do the same to Randy Orton this Monday on Raw.
Triple H reveals Raw match stipulations. With Randy Orton rehashing everything he’s done to WWE Champion Triple H and his family, The Game
revealed the stipulations to their one-on-one match this Monday on Raw – no disqualifications and no count-outs.
Big Show defeated Jeff Hardy; Matt attacks Jeff. At 485 pounds, Big Show simply crushed the high-flying Jeff Hardy. During the match, Matt
Hardy came down to ringside to witness the action. While Big Show was down on all fours, Jeff seized the opportunity, using Show’s massive
back as a springboard to launch himself over the ropes, toppling Matt. In the end, Jeff was able to down his brother, but not The World’s
Largest Athlete, who stopped the Charismatic Enigma cold with a brutal right hand. After the match, Matt launched a vicious and ugly attack
on his brother, hitting him with seven consecutive leg drops while he lay defenseless from Big Show’s brutal assault.
Jeff Hardy vs Matt Hardy announced. New SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long announced that Jeff Hardy will face his brother Matt Hardy in
an “I Quit” Match at Backlash.
Gail Kim defeated Divas Champion Maryse. In a bout featuring two of WWE’s most athletic Divas, Gail Kim kept her winning ways intact by dazing
Maryse with some hard-hitting counters for the pinfall.
John Morrison defeated R-Truth. After The Miz assaulted John Morrison on Raw, it’s a safe bet that their tag team days are behind them. Looking to
make an impression on Friday nights, The Tuesday Night Delight did not disappoint when he stopped R-Truth’s valiant attempts at a win with a
Moonlight Drive.
Khali Kiss Cam. The Great Khali was up to his romantic ways on another edition of the “Khali Kiss Cam.” The Punjabi Playboy planted a wet one
on a lovely member of the WWE Universe. The next recipient of his affection? None other than Miss WrestleMania Santina Marella next week on
SmackDown. This ought to be good!
Undertaker defeated Shelton Benjamin. Borrowing one from Undertaker’s arsenal, Shelton Benjamin attempted to deliver a Tombstone to The
Deadman. The maneuver failed miserably, resulting in Benjamin being the recipient of the punishing maneuver at the hands of The Phenom.
Coming off huge wins at the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania and last night’s debut of “WWE Superstars,” can anyone stop The Phenom?
Dolph Ziggler defeated United States Champion Montel Vontavious Porter. After being drafted to SmackDown, perhaps Dolph Ziggler felt he had to
make an impression in the land of SmackDown. He did just that by defeating the United States Champion.
“The View” & MVP? In an interesting exchange in the locker room area, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long told MVP that Sherri Shepherd
of the TV program The View had taken an interest in the champion. Holla, Holla, Holla! What does Teddy have in store for the former SmackDown
Superstar who was drafted to Raw?
Batista defeated Ted DiBiase. Since making his surprise comeback on Raw, Batista has been full of pent up aggression. Tonight, it was his
Backlash opponent, Ted DiBiase, who felt The Animal’s wrath. Batista dominated the first part of the match, delivering one punishing maneuver
after another. However, DiBiase was able to turn the tables and strike back, delivering targeted attacks to Batista’s leg. But, The Animal
regained momentum and dropped The Legacy member with a hard-hitting spear, followed up by a thunderous Batista Bomb for the win. In just

Just two days before the sting of Backlash strikes the WWE Universe, the anticipation of things to come brought red-hot intensity to SmackDown.
Edge taunts his Backlash opponent John Cena. With absolute resolve, Edge emerged before the WWE Universe to replay the destructive footage of
his Monday Night Raw Con-Chair-To on John Cena. The Ultimate Opportunist taunted The Champ, claiming that because he is a “desperate man” who
will stop at nothing to bring their three-year rivalry to an end and get “his” title back, he will without a doubt be the "Last Man Standing"
at Backlash this Sunday.
Matt Hardy & Kane defeated Jeff Hardy & C.M. Punk. Jeff Hardy was attempting to close the door on his brother Matt with a Twist of Fate when
a fallen Kane suddenly climbed back up on the apron. This allowed the elder Hardy to send Jeff running into the hard head of The Big Red
Machine, before rolling his brother up for the quick victory. With several recent, sibling rivalry victories to his credit, can Matt make
Jeff utter the words “I Quit” at Backlash?
The Big Show defeated The Undertaker. Before the drafted Big Show made his departure from SmackDown to Raw, the 7-foot, 485-pound “nightmare
of distraction” dished out two vicious knockout blows on Undertaker that proved so brutal, the referee was forced to stop the match in his
favor. After the bell, The Phenom came back for more, knocking The World’s Largest Athlete from the squared-circle and off to Monday Night Raw.
Divas Champion Maryse defeated Gail "Slant Girl" Kim. Despite "Slant Girls" non-title victory over Maryse one week ago, she fell short of the
Divas Title. Although the sultry, French champion looked to be walking out on the match prematurely, she quickly turned the tables on "Slant
Girl", hitting her with the stunning French Kiss for the victory.
United States Champion Montel Vontavious Porter defeated Chavo Guerrero. Although The View’s Sherri Shepherd has been mentioning MVP on her
show, The Ballin’ Superstar was all business when it came to beating Chavo Guerrero with the Playmaker. After the match, recently drafted
Dolph Ziggler - who defeated MVP in a non-title match one week ago – came forth to proclaim that he will prove triumphant over The Franchise
Playa’ in their United States Championship Match next Friday night at Madison Square Garden.
Batista & Shane McMahon defeated Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase. Despite Batista’s misdirected spear on Monday Night Raw, The Animal roared back,
catching Cody Rhodes with a high-impact spinebuster as The Legacy Superstar was leaping from the top rope. Shane McMahon picked up the pin,
transferring invaluable momentum away from Legacy as they head into this Sunday’s pay-per-view. Will McMahon, Batista & WWE Champion Triple H

As SmackDown rolled into The World’s Most Famous Arena, new WWE draftees joined Friday nights, a Straightedge Superstar had his destiny
stolen from him, and four elite Superstars collided to determine who would face new World Heavyweight Champion Edge at Judgment Day.
Chris Jericho emerged on SmackDown for the first time since being drafted to Friday nights,
only to be interrupted by new World Heavyweight Champion Edge and eventually C.M. Punk. Jericho ended up walking out, citing disrespect from
both his fellow Superstars and the capacity crowd at Madison Square Garden. When The Rated-R Superstar said that he could beat The
Straightedge Superstar as a “warm-up match,” Punk decided to accommodate him. He proclaimed that if he defeated Edge later that night, he
would cash in his Money in the Bank championship opportunity and pin The Rated-R Superstar a second time for the gold.
John Morrison defeated Shelton Benjamin. In an explosive match of skill and toughness, John Morrison reigned supreme over The Gold Standard
with the help of the stunning Moonlight Drive. Later, The Shaman of Sexy got into a fierce brawl with Chris Jericho outside the dressing room
area.
Jeff Hardy defeated Rey Mysterio, Chris Jericho and Kane. In a whirlwind Fatal Four Way Elimination Match, Jeff Hardy leveled Kane with the
Twist of Fate, only to have Chris Jericho pull him away and pick up the pinfall on The Big Red Machine himself. Rey Mysterio immediately
executed the 619 on the first Undisputed WWE Champion. But when he went to finish off his prey, Jericho hurled a nearby chair at the masked
Superstar in mid-air, getting himself disqualified. Hardy and Mysterio then engaged in a fast-paced, intense tour-de-force of combat. Just as
it looked like the Intercontinental Champion might overcome The Charismatic Enigma, Hardy suddenly reversed the pin, grabbing the huge
victory. As a result, Jeff Hardy will once again take on The Ultimate Opportunist for the title at Judgment Day.
Eve Torres won Cryme Tyme’s Brooklyn Break-Down Diva Dance Off. J.T.G. & Shad celebrated their move to SmackDown and their homecoming to New
York City by hosting a Brooklyn Break-Down Diva Dance Off between Layla and Eve. When Eve got the loudest reaction from the crowd and with
it the victory, Layla responded by attacking her dance opponent.
United States Champion Montel Vontavious Porter defeated Dolph Ziggler. With The View’s excited co-host Sherri "The Black Whale" Shepherd in
MVP’s corner, The Ballin’ Superstar defeated his No. 1 contender Dolph Ziggler with the Playmaker. On the heels of his exciting title defense,
MVP will be a guest on The View this coming Tuesday.
C.M. Punk defeated World Heavyweight Champion Edge. After capturing victory with the GTS, Punk attempted to cash in his Money in the Bank

With Judgment Day just nine days away, one Superstar attempted to add his name to the World Championship main event while a second prepared
for his own pay-per-view battle after getting blasted by a runaway Samoan Bulldozer for the second week in a row.
Chris Jericho interrupted SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long as he was welcoming Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio back to
SmackDown, demanding a World Heavyweight Championship Match. Mysterio showed him little regard, pushing Jericho to the ground and walking out
just as Jeff Hardy - the new No. 1 contender to Edge’s gold - was walking in. Hardy proclaimed that if Jericho could beat him later on
SmackDown, he could be added to the World Heavyweight Championship Match at Judgment Day. Jericho tried to attack him, only to end up with the
short end of the stick.
Mike Knox defefeated "Ghetto Trash" R-Truth. After delivering a brutal boot to "Ghetto Trash’s face as the referee was separating the two
Superstars, Knox utilized his Spinning Reverse STO to overcome "Ghetto Trash" in his SmackDown debut.
Michelle McCool defefeated "Slant Girl" Gail Kim. With newly drafted Alicia Fox in her corner, Michelle countered "Slant Girl" to deliver the
devastating Faith Breaker out of nowhere.
John "Nobody" Morrison defefeated Charlie Haas. After losing to Morrison last week and interfering with his match on “WWE Superstars”, The
Gold Standard accompanied his former World’s Greatest Tag Team partner Charlie Haas to ringside. There, he witnessed "Nobody" reign supreme
with the lethal Split-legged Corkscrew.
C.M. Punk defefeated World Heavyweight Champion Edge. The Ultimate Opportunist refused to return to the ring during a non-title match with C.M.
Punk, giving his opponent a victory by count-out, but ultimately denying him a potential chance to cash in his Money in the Bank contract.
After the bell, The Straightedge Superstar was once again decimated by Umaga, who charged in from behind to take out Punk with the Samoan
Spike. Later, Punk officially challenged Umaga to a match at Judgment Day.
Eve Torres defeated Layla in Cryme Tyme’s Hand Slammin’ Jammy Jam Challenge. For the second week in a row, Eve won a Cryme Tyme contest
between herself and Layla, only to end up on the wrong end of a neckbreaker from her opponent once the competition was over.
The Great Khali defefeated Dolph Ziggler. When Dolph Ziggler issued an open challenge to anyone in the SmackDown locker room, The Punjabi
Playboy answered to call. Although Ziggler did not did not achieve victory, he proved to be the last Superstar standing, attacking Khali
repeatedly with a steel chair.
Jeff Hardy defeated "Lionheart" Chris Jericho. The Rated-R Superstar joined Jim Ross & Todd Grisham at the broadcast table to watch the match up-close. In the end, Rey
Mysterio emerged to distract "Lionheart" long enough for Hardy to hit the Twist of Fate and Swanton Bomb, effectively denying "Lionheart" his place
at the World Heavyweight Championship table. Following the match, as Hardy was pursuing Edge up the ramp, Mysterio reigned down on "Lionheart"
from the top rope.

Just two nights before Judgment Day, mayhem came to the land of SmackDown when Jeff Hardy, CM Punk, Umaga and Intercontinental Champion Rey
Mysterio crashed the party.
C.M. Punk & John "Nobody" Morrison defeated Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas. Ever since the WWE Draft – and distancing himself from The Miz –
"Nobody" has continued to make bold statements on SmackDown, including defeating Charlie Haas last week. Tonight, "Nobody" teamed with a
partner of his choosing – CM Punk. Once again, using the Starship Pain, "Nobody" put away Haas. Before the bout, Benjamin & Haas confronted
"Nobody" in the locker room area.
At the start of the night, Edge and Chris Jericho traded words over who really runs SmackDown. After stating he’s been given a raw deal on
Friday nights, Jericho looked out across the WWE Universe and claimed a conspiracy has been “orchestrated and perpetrated by all of you
fraudulent, gelatinous parasitic tapeworms.” But, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long cleared the air and let everyone know who’s really
in charge – the WWE Universe! Next, the GM announced Edge and Jericho would square off in the main event. Holla! Holla! Holla!
This Sunday, Benjamin will have an opportunity at revenge against Morrison when the two square off at Judgment Day.
Jeff Hardy defeated Ricky Ortiz. Using a triple assault of a Whisper in the Wind, Twist of Fate and Swanton Bomb, Jeff Hardy stopped Ricky
Ortiz cold. After the victory, the high-flyer predicted a win over World Heavyweight Champion Edge at Judgment Day.
Women’s Champion Melina & Gail "Slant Girl" Kim defeated Michelle McCool & Alicia Fox. In recent weeks, "Slant Girl" and Michelle McCool have
traded wins in singles competition. On this night, it was "Slant Girl" who came out on top when her partner, Women’s Champion Melina, stunned
McCool with a high-impact maneuver to set up the pinfall.
Dolph Ziggler defeated Jimmy Wang Yang. Last week on SmackDown, Dolph Ziggler made a strong statement by viciously attacking The Great Khali
with a steel chair. Tonight, after defeating Yang, Ziggler was confronted by The Great Khali, who was out for revenge. In one fell swoop, The
Punjabi Giant lifted Ziggler up and over the top rope with one hand and tossed him out onto the arena floor. The big 7-footer then chased
Ziggler out of the arena. Ziggler can run, but can he hide forever from the massive giant?
"Ghetto Trash" R-Truth defeated Mike Knox. Using his quickness and athleticism, "Ghetto Trash" was able to down formidable foe Mike Knox
using a corkscrew elbow.
World Heavyweight Champion Edge defeated Chris Jericho. When World Heavyweight Champion Edge and Chris Jericho collided in the main event, The
Ultimate Opportunist picked up the win after Jericho was disqualified for bringing a steel chair into the ring. But the action was far from
over. Chaos ensued when Jeff Hardy ran into the ring, hitting Edge with a Twist of Fate. Next, the high-flyer leaped from the top rope onto
Jericho. Capitalizing on the mayhem, CM Punk rushed into the arena, hoping to cash in his Money in the Bank contract and take Edge’s title.
However, Punk was once again stopped by Umaga. With Umaga and Punk battling it out, Judgment Day opponents Hardy and Edge continued to wage
war outside the ring. As their battle spilled out into the WWE Universe, Punk and Umaga continued to slug it out on the arena floor. Finally,
Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio stormed into the arena to attack Jericho and make his own statement just hours before Judgment Day.

With the excitement of Judgment Day still surrounding the WWE Universe, the extreme invaded SmackDown, as Superstars began to brace
themselves for the relentless Extreme Rules pay-per-view.
While Edge saw his Judgment Day victory over Jeff Hardy as proof that he is both the “true face of SmackDown” and superior to The Charismatic
Enigma, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long saw it as "an atrocity," caused by the cast-wielding interference of Matt Hardy. Long decided
he would make a rematch at Extreme Rules between The Rated-R Superstar and The Charismatic Enigma. Hardy soon emerged, proposing that he and
The World Heavyweight Champion have a match on SmackDown, with the winner choosing the stipulation in their Extreme Rules match in three
weeks.
John "Nobody" Morrison & "Cryme Tyme" Shad & J.T.G. defeated Shelton Benjamin, Charlie Haas & Ricky Ortiz. With Cryme Tyme taking care of
business outside the ring on Benjamin & Ortiz, The Friday Night Delight lifted off with authority, bringing the Starship Pain crashing down
onto Charlie Haas for another huge victory.
Vince McMahon talks of the Pepsi Center owner cancelling Raw`s show this coming Monday night, only to be replaced by Basketball. Raw and
Smackdown have been moved to Los Angeles at the Staples Center this coming Monday and Tuesday nights.
Michelle McCool defeated "Slant Girl" Gail Kim. "Slant Girl" knocked the interfering Alicia Fox into theunforgiving steel ringpost. However,
Michelle quickly took advantage of the distraction, attacking "Slant Girl" on the turnbuckle, causing her to drop upside-down and right into
the perfect position for the former Divas Champion to execute the lethal Faithbreaker. With the win, Michelle became the No. 1 contender to
Women’s Champion Melina’s gold.
C.M. Punk vs. Chris Jericho via a disqualification. Just after Punk successfully hit the GTS on Jericho in their “WWE Superstars” rematch on
SmackDown and was on his way to a huge win of retribution, The Samoan Bulldozer once again attacked The Straightedge Superstar, hurling their
rivalry into the Extreme. After tying Punk upside-down to the turnbuckle with a Samoan Strap, Umaga actually spoke English, challenging Mr.
Money in the Bank to a Samoan Strap Match at Extreme Rules before whipping him for all it was worth.
Dolph Ziggler defeated "Ghetto Trash" R-Truth. As Ziggler was celebrating his big win over "Ghetto Trash" that utilized a unique neckbreaker,
his jubilance was suddenly cut short by The Great Khali. The Punjabi Playboy menacingly pursued Ziggler, who barely escaped amidst the
cheering members of the WWE Universe after "Ghetto Trash" hit the Corkscrew elbow.
Jeff Hardy defeated World Heavyweight Champion Edge. After a brutal match of consequence, Hardy triumphed over Edge with the Swanton Bomb.
Following his hard-fought victory, The Charismatic No. 1 Contender floored the WWE Universe, declaring that the World Heavyweight Championship
Match at Extreme Rules would be a Ladder Match.

With Extreme Rules just nine nights away, SmackDown found a home in California. But unfortunately for some Superstars, the STAPLES Center was
an inhospitable environment.
At the start of the night, Extreme Rules opponents Rey Mysterio and Chris Jericho traded verbal barbs. After listening to Jericho rant,
Mysterio exclaimed, "Your word is worthless"! After Mysterio, Jericho moved on to verbally assault Mickey Rourke, star of the movie "The
Wrestler,” who was in attendance. "Rourke, you're lucky I'm too much of a professional to not come out of this ring, walk straight up to you
and punch you in your face right now,” claimed Jericho. Things finally imploded when Jericho took a sucker punch at Mysterio. But the agile
champion was able to avoid the blow and drive Jericho out of the ring.
The Great Khali & R-Truth defeated Dolph Ziggler & Mike Knox. Things got off to an emotion-charged start when Khali joined R-Truth in singing
his signature entrance song, “What’s Up?” The Punjabi Playboy kept the momentum going into the tag team encounter. Using The Punjabi Plunge,
the 7-footer was able to put away big Mike Knox.
Women’s Champion Melina defeated Alicia Fox. The sexy, smart and powerful Women’s Champion Melina proved too much for Alicia Fox. After the
win, Michelle McCool came into the ring and grabbed the champion’s title from the referee. Although McCool returned the title to its rightful
owner, she did so with a shove, as if to say, it’s yours … for now.
John Morrison defeated Umaga. Just like he did to CM Punk last week, Umaga not only tied up John Morrison with a Samoan Strap, but used the
illegal weapon to beat his opponent unmercifully. After the brutal display, CM Punk rushed into the ring, smashing his Extreme Rules opponent
over the head with his steel Money in the Bank briefcase.
Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas defeated Cryme Tyme. Formerly known as The World’s Greatest Tag Team, Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas lived
up to their moniker in L.A. The Gold Standard dropped Shad with Pay Dirt to stake claim to a win.
Eve defeated Layla. Once again, Eve got the better of Layla, picking up a win in their much-anticipated singles match. In the week’s leading
up to their match, the two competed in Cryme Tyme's Hand Slammin' Jammy Jam Challenge and Brooklyn Break-Down Diva Dance Off, with Eve coming
out on top in both contests. And, powder was flying everywhere when the two Divas exchanged fisticuffs at a backstage makeup table recently.
World Heavyweight Champion Edge & Chris Jericho defeated Jeff Hardy. The match was supposed to include Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio.
But, the odds shifted after Chris Jericho – disguised as a fan dressed like Mysterio – attacked the masked Superstar prior to the match,
going as far as trying to rip off his mask. With Mysterio out, Hardy was forced to take on high-caliber opponents, World Heavyweight Champion
Edge and Jericho all by himself. Despite a valiant effort, Hardy was unable to come up with a win. After a hard-hitting spear from The
Rated-R Superstar to get the win, Hardy was brutalized by The Ultimate Opportunist with a ladder.

From the home of Elvis Presley & Graceland, the fury of Extreme Rules reached its final stop as it prepares to unleash itself upon the WWE
Universe in just two days. And the Extreme anticipation it brought with it created an absolute rhythm & blues frenzy of unprecedented
aggression that turbo-charged Friday nights into a whole new stratosphere of rock & roll intensity.
Surrounded by an Extremely dangerous array of metal rungs, World Heavyweight Champion Edge presented “The Cutting Edge” with his Extreme Rules
challenger Jeff Hardy as his special guest. Staring each other down from on top of dueling ladders high above the ring, both Superstars
predicted victory, in what promises to be one of the greatest Extreme matches of all time. But amidst the excitement, The Ultimate
Opportunist locked in on his chance to strike, hitting Hardy with the hanging World Heavyweight Championship before thrusting his ladder
ruthlessly downward, sending The Charismatic No. 1 Contender crashing to the floor.
John "Nobody" Morrison weakly defeated Shelton Benjamin. Fighting through a painful knee injury acquired during the match, "Nobody" reigned
supreme, utilizing the Starship Pain in the culmination of a fierce match with the athletically-gifted "Gold Standard".
Chris Jericho defeated "Ghetto Trash" R-Truth. "Ghetto Trash" infuriated Chris Jericho, interrupting the eight-time Intercontinental Champion
as he was promising to take Rey Mysterio’s title and ruin his life in their No Holds Barred Match at Extreme Rules. "Ghetto Trash" responded
by proclaiming that he would show his imminent SmackDown opponent “the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.” Despite "Ghetto
Trash`s" dynamic entrance and gutsy statements, Jericho proved triumphant in the end, hitting the Codebreaker on "Ghetto Trash" as the
high-octane Superstar was propelling himself off the ropes. However, after the match, Mysterio got some payback on the First-ever Undisputed
WWE Champion for last week’s sneak attack, unleashing an absolutely furious assault on his Extreme Rules opponent before exploding upon him
with the sitting senton on the hard concrete.
C.M. Punk defeated Umaga. Just two days before their Samoan Strap Match at Extreme Rules, "The Straightedge Superstar" captured the momentum,
executing the GTS on Umaga as The Samoan Bulldozer was distracted by his own Samoan Strap. Will the outcome be different when the straps are
wielding freely on the one night of the year when all of WWE goes Extreme?
Michelle McCool, Layla & Alicia Fox defeated Melina, Eve Torres & "Slant Girl" Gail Kim. Even with special guest referee Maria present to
maintain order, Diva mayhem ensued outside the ring. The bedlam allowed Michelle to interfere, setting up Layla to hit the neckbreaker on
Melina and score a pin on the fierce Women’s Champion.
The Great Khali defeated Dolph Ziggler. After the brutal chair attack by Ziggler several weeks ago, The Great Khali finally achieved a
satisfying degree of retribution, burying his cocky opponent with The Punjabi Plunge.
The World Heavyweight Champion took on the Intercontinental Champion for the first time ever on SmackDown, as Edge faced off with Rey
Mysterio in a Champion vs. Champion Match. In the end, despite the fact that Mysterio was able to hit the lethal 619, Edge miraculously
avoided his fatal follow-up, allowing him to drill his masked opponent with a devastating spear for the victory. But, when The Master
Manipulator tried to use the ladder on Mysterio after the bell, Jeff Hardy charged to the rescue. After disarming Edge with the help of his
trusty chair, Hardy hit Edge with a jaw dropping leg drop off the top of the ladder.

With their battered bodies still feeling the effects of a brutal Extreme Rules, the SmackDown Superstars went to war again with their sights
set on Monday’s WWE 3-For-All on Raw, where the World Heavyweight, WWE and ECW titles will all be contested.
Up against a formidable foe in The Great Khali, Dolph Ziggler employed an interesting strategy to get the win. By grabbing hold of Khali’s
interpreter, Ranjin Singh, and roughing him up, Ziggler knew he’d draw the attention of the 7-footer. With Singh in his grasp and Khali in
pursuit, Ziggler waited until the last moment to jump back in the ring and avoid the referee’s 10-count.
Last week, Women’s Champion Melina was upset in a Six-Diva Tag Match. On this night, it was Layla’s partner, Michelle McCool, who delivered
another loss to the champion by stunning her with a Faithbreaker.
"Ghetto Trash" R-Truth & John "Nobody" Morrison weakly defeated Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas. Four young and hungry Superstars put on a
fantastic display of athleticism, but it was "Nobody" who reigned supreme. "Nobody" put away Charlie Haas with a Moonlight Drive followed up
by the Starship Pain for the win.
Jericho has been angry for weeks over not being considered for an opportunity at the World Title. After expressing his displeasure to Teddy
Long, the GM announced Jericho could face new champion CM Punk. So, just before joining the announce team for the main event, Punk took on
Jericho one-on-one. Despite Jericho’s bold prediction, his guarantee for victory did not come true, as Punk dropped him with a Go to Sleep.
The win was Punk’s first as new champion.
With new World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk watching from the announce table, former champions Edge and Jeff Hardy battled it out in the
night’s main event. At stake was a chance to face CM Punk for his title this Monday on Raw. The match was made at the start of the night by
SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long. In a back-and-forth struggle, Hardy and Edge pushed themselves to the limits of endurance. As the
action spilled to the arena floor, Edge tossed Hardy onto CM Punk, who was seated at the announce table. Mayhem then ensued, when Punk pursued
Edge back in to the ring and assaulted him with a series of punches. Realizing he lost the match due to Punk’s interference, an angry Jeff
Hardy reigned down blows on Punk, then took out his frustration on Edge with a Twist of Fate. But it was the champion who had the final word
when he destroyed Hardy with a Go to Sleep. As Punk stood over the fallen former champions, GM Theodore Long made the blockbuster announcement
from his office that it will be Edge vs. Jeff Hardy vs. CM Punk in a Triple Threat Match on Raw for the World Heavyweight Championship.

A strange brew of trickery, retribution and pure squared-circle aggression consumed SmackDown, just nine days before The Bash unleashes itself
upon the WWE Universe.
Prior to his match with Chris Jericho, The Charismatic No. 1 Contender was confronted by World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk about their World
Championship Match at The Bash (Match preview). Punk voiced no regrets about cashing in his Money in the Bank opportunity at Extreme Rules,
nor with his actions in Monday Night Raw’s Triple Threat Match. An intense Hardy expressed his determination to take his title back at the
upcoming pay-per-view. Hardy’s attention then turned to Jericho. In the culmination of their heated battle, as the nine-time Intercontinental
Champion was throwing Hardy back into the ring, Rey Mysterio suddenly emerged from a seat in the crowd. He attacked Jericho, driving the
stunned Superstar into the ring post before returning to his seat next to two other identically dressed fans. This surprise onslaught led
directly to a Hardy victory when Jericho couldn’t answer the 10-count. After the bell, The Charismatic Enigma put the exclamation point on the
win, hitting the disoriented Jericho with the Twist of Fate and Swanton Bomb combination.
While the referee was distracted, the incomparable Ziggler threw a chair toward The Great Khali before falling to the canvas as if injured.
When the referee turned around, The Punjabi Playboy was holding the steel and was therefore disqualified. Once again, Ziggler appears to have
outsmarted Khali, giving himself another victory over his irate adversary.
Melina reigned supreme over “A-Fox,” flipping herself downward off Alicia’s back and using her momentum to whip Alicia over for the pinfall.
Michelle then attacked, hurling the Women’s Champion from the ring before viciously kneeing her into the broadcaster’s table. The No. 1
contender promised to humiliate Melina at The Bash (Match preview) and become the first Diva to hold both the Divas and Women’s Championships.
"Nobody" may have matched The Master Manipulator in a war of words before the bell, but The Rated-R Superstar ultimately reigned supreme,
hitting the spear in the climax of their tremendously hard-fought battle. "Nobody" heroically fought through injured ribs, but couldn’t stop
the former World Champion at the finish line.
Amidst mass confusion both in and outside the ring in a six-man brawl, "Ghetto Trash" caught Benjamin with a powerful kick as The Gold
Standard was leaping from the top rope. "Ghetto Trash" followed up with the hurricane-like Corkscrew Elbow to prove triumphant.
Later, Mysterio accepted the challenge from the reemerging Jericho to put his sacred mask on the line against Jericho’s gold at The Bash. The
nine-time Intercontinental Champion then joined Hall of Famer Jim Ross & Todd Grisham at the broadcast table. But in a critical moment of
Mysterio’s match with Punk, Jericho “evened the score” for his masked adversary’s earlier attack, slamming The Master of the 619 into the
steel ring post. Though Mysterio answered his 10-count, the World Champion quickly finished him off with the GTS. After the bell, an angry
Jeff Hardy charged into the ring to dispute the decision. He was clearly still seething after being stripped of the World Heavyweight
Championship at Extreme Rules. But the confrontation only ended in a staredown, with Punk still walking off with the victory over Mysterio.
At The Bash, things will finally come to a head when Punk and Hardy collide in a rematch.

Just two nights before The Bash, things erupted in the land of SmackDown, culminating in an epic “Rage in the Cage” Match, featuring some of
Friday night’s biggest Superstars.
The epic main event was orchestrated by SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long. Long was put under pressure to deliver a quality night by
none other than the Chairman himself, Mr. McMahon, who paid a rare visit to SmackDown. During the night’s opening segment, the Chairman
insisted that the night better be good, and put Long on “probation.”
"Ghetto Trash" R-Truth weakly defeated Shelton Benjamin. Performing his signature entrance song “What’s Up?!,” "Ghetto Trash" crossed paths at
ringside with the Chairman. When offered the chance to respond to the famous question, Mr. McMahon had nothing to say. After the rapping was
over, "Ghetto Trash" endured a vicious verbal assault from his opponent, Shelton Benjamin. The mean-spirited lashing fueled a quick and
aggressive offense from "Ghetto Trash" during their match. Benjamin eventually turned the tables, putting "Ghetto Trash" on the defensive.
But in the end, "Ghetto Trash" unfortunately prevailed when he dropped The Gold Standard with a Lie Detector.
Backstage, Mr. McMahon gave Rey Mysterio a hard time about wearing a mask. Rey responds to Vince in Spanish. Vince asks Teddy what Rey Said
and Teddy didn`t understand Rey Either. Vince suspects that Rey cursed him and tells Teddy that from now on only English will be spoken on
Smackdown.
Michelle McCool & Alicia Fox defeated Women’s Champion Melina & "Slant Girl" Gail Kim. With the upcoming Women’s Championship match on their
minds, Michelle McCool and Alicia Fox went to work, punishing reigning champion, Melina. Their strategy worked, keeping Kim out of the ring
for most of the contest. When "Slant Girl" finally entered the fray, she was stopped cold by McCool with a devastating Faithbreaker. After it
was all over, Melina was clearly still feeling the effects of the encounter. Can she recover in time to defend her title against McCool at
The Bash?
Backstage, Vince asks C.M. Punk if his "Straightedge Superstar" gimmick is just an act. Punk said no and that crushing the competition is his
high just as it is for Mr. McMahon. Vince told Teddy that he can learn something from C.M. Punk.
"Cryme Tyme" presented their first edition of "Word Up". Eve Torres introduced the word of the day as Jackin`, meaning to rob one of their
personal belongings. Jesse of the "Biscuits and Gravy" team tried his best at some black rap crap and then as took Jesse`s bling from him.
Eve said that`s what you call Jackin`.
John "Nobody" Morrison weakly defeated World Heavyweight Champion C.M. Punk. Last week on SmackDown, "Nobody" went toe-to-toe with former
World Heavyweight Champion Edge, giving him a run for his money. Although "Nobody" came up short against The Ultimate Opportunist last week,
on this night, he found a way to defeat the reigning champion. Perhaps feeling uncomfortable with his loss to the younger Superstar, Punk
offered a congratulatory handshake to "Nobody", only to crush him with a Go to Sleep. After the loss, Punk must put it behind him if he is to
successfully defend his title against No. 1 contender Jeff Hardy at The Bash.
Backstage, Josh Mathews interviewed Chris Jericho. Jericho said he plans to demask Mysterio at The Bash on Sunday, destroying Rey`s gimmick
and his life.
Backstage, Mr. McMahon told Jeff Hardy he doesn`t want him to win his match this coming Sunday against C.M. Punk or to relresent Smackdown
due to Jeff`s checkered past. Vince then yells at Teddy again telling him to remember he`s on probation.
Edge & Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho defeated Jeff Hardy & Rey Mysterio. With World Heavyweight Champion C.M. Punk as guest referee,
Edge & Chris Jericho went to war with Jeff Hardy & Rey Mysterio in a "Rage in the Cage" Match. In the end, it was “Team Ego” who prevailed
when The Rated-R Superstar avoided a Twist of Fate from Hardy and stunned the high-flyer with a hard-hitting spear. After the match was over,
C.M. Punk, perhaps being sarcastic, offered up his praises for Hardy, saying he fought a good fight despite losing the match. On Sunday, the
two will clash for Punk’s World Heavyweight Championship at The Bash.
Backstage, Mr. McMahon said he expected really big things from Teddy at The Bash and told him to perform as if his job depended on it.

With Night of Champions just three weeks away and the sudden transformation of the Friday night roster, SmackDown General Manager Theodore
Long revealed two explosive main events, one for SmackDown and the other for the upcoming pay-per-view. However, it was Jeff Hardy that showed
definitively that there is, in fact, an “eye” in team.
C.M. Punk denied any foul play in his championship match with Jeff Hardy at The Bash, claiming his “eye injury” caused him to “accidentally”
kick the referee. He demanded an apology from The Charismatic Enigma for his post-match attack. Teddy Long emerged, swiftly creating a World
Heavyweight Title rematch between Punk and Hardy at Night of Champions. Hardy then came to the squared-circle, making it clear that he does
not believe Punk’s explanation. He did, however, offer an “apology” in advance for taking The Straightedge Superstar down at Night of
Champions.
Fit Finlay defeated Ricky Ortiz. Not responding favorably to Ortiz’s encouraging suggestion to smile and “Rally up!” before their match, The
Belfast Bawler brought the definitive beat down to his towel-wielding adversary with the brutal Celtic Cross.
Dolph Ziggler defeated "Ghetto Trash" R-Truth. Fresh off his Bash win over The Punjabi Playboy, a smiling Ziggler proved victorious over
R-Truth with a vicious neckbreaker.
"WORD UP" with "Cryme Tyme", Eve & Jesse. The word of the day is Wanksta. Eve again defines Wanksta and Jesse once again tries his best
to act cool like "Cryme Tyme". Once again Jesse is not accepted as cool.
Kane defeated Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio. Despite a tremendous effort by the new Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio, The Big
Red Machine endured the 619 to reign supreme over the masked Superstar with the devastating chokeslam. After the match, with Kane poised to
inflict additional punishment on his prey, The Great Khali – who Kane attacked and cost a match against Dolph Ziggler at The Bash – stormed
to the ring with a steel chair and rage in his eyes. Kane uncharacteristically retreated into the crowd.
"Cryme Tyme" Shad & J.T.G. defeated "The Hart Dynasty" David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd. Cryme Tyme stole some thunder from The Hart Dynasty’s
SmackDown debut. As the referee was trying to maintain order on the other side of the ring, outside man JTG used the ropes to throw David
Hart Smith off balance, setting Shad up to drive the Hart Dungeon-trained Superstar into the canvas for the win.
Melina & Maria defeated WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool & Layla. After losing her Women’s Championship to Michelle McCool at The Bash,
Melina grabbed a small measure of payback. Michelle quickly tagged out to avoid battling the irate former champion, leaving Layla to endure
full force of her authoritative wrath.
Unified Tag Team Champions Edge & Chris Jericho defeated World Heavyweight Champion C.M. Punk & Jeff Hardy. The two reluctant Superstars
joined forces to take on the new Unified Tag Team Champions Edge & Chris Jericho. Twice in the course of the match, Hardy tried to tag Punk
in. But, both times the champion appeared to be in pain, clutching his eye rather than accepting Hardy’s invitation into the squared-circle.
Perhaps as a result of this, when Punk was stretching out to tag Hardy into the match later on, his Night of Champions Charismatic No. 1
Contender suddenly and deliberately clutched his eye in “pain,” falling from the ring apron, leaving his partner to face the music alone.
Punk came back to hit the GTS on Jericho, not realizing that Edge had tagged into the match to blast him with the spear. Hardy soon revealed
his Extreme, wide eyes to the WWE Universe, showing that he had in fact dished out some eye-popping retribution onto the World Champion’s
plate.

Just more than two weeks before Night of Champions, match disruption ran rampant as calculated mayhem ruled Friday night.
Kane defeated Jeff Hardy. After last week’s eye-popping chain of events while teaming with World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, Jeff Hardy
emerged wearing an eye patch. He soon ripped it off, declaring that his eye injury is just as serious as The Straightedge Superstar’s. Punk
emerged just when Hardy was gaining a strong advantage in his hard-fought battle with Kane. The distraction gave The Big Red Machine enough
time to recover and chokeslam The Charismatic No. 1 Contender off the top rope for the huge victory. In the culmination of an explosive match,
Khali hit Punk with the devastating Punjabi Plunge. But before he could get the three-count however, Kane emerged with a steel chair. A “clash
of the titans” ensued when Ranjin Singh evened the odds, supplying Khali with a chair of his own. Kane struck first, but the fury of Khali
kept him on his feet. He then nailed Kane with the chair, causing The Big Red Machine to uncharacteristically retreat for the second week in a
row.
"WORD UP" 3rd edition with Cryme Tyme, Eve & Jesse. The word of the day is "Bromance". Eve locks Jesse up in a storage area.
Dolph Ziggler easily defeated John "Nobody" Morrison. Despite a growing backstage “association” with the lovely Maria, Ziggler kept his focus.
In the culmination of an intense match with John Morrison, Ziggler prevailed, grabbing The Friday Night Delight’s tights after a quick
counter.
Melina & Eve defeated Women’s Champion Michelle McCool & Layla. After Layla accidentally smacked into Michelle, Melina rolled the English
Diva up for the pin. After the bell, the Women’s Champion attacked her wild predecessor, instantly inciting a fierce brawl between the two
explosive Divas.
World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk vs The Great Khali. Jeff Hardy later joined Hall of Famer Jim Ross & Todd Grisham at the broadcast table as
Punk prepared to face The Punjabi Playboy. Punk produced an eye drop prescription and mocked Hardy’s past troubles. The growing animosity
between Punk and Hardy threatens to reach a fever-pitch as they prepare to face off at Night of Champions in a World Championship Match in
two weeks.
"The Hart Dynasty" defeated "Cryme Tyme" Shad & J.T.G.. Natalya jumped up on the ring apron, distracting both JTG & the referee as The Hart
Dynasty executed a powerful double-team assault for the win.
Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio defeated Chris Jericho. Following Mysterio’s successful title defense over Jericho with his
earth-shattering 619 & splash combination, Edge tried to launch a post-match assault. When the masked Superstar opted to let it be, exiting
the ring rather than engaging The Rated-R Superstar, he was suddenly attacked out of nowhere by a reemerging Dolph Ziggler. The smiling
Superstar then threw the fallen Intercontinental Champion to the dogs, allowing the Unified Tag Team Champions to hit both a spear & the
Codebreaker. Ziggler then finished him off with a devastating neckbreaker of his own.

Just nine explosive days before every title will be put on the line at Night of Champions, furious action and uncontainable disdain ran
rampant through Friday night, as one Superstar suffered his own personal Miami vice of pain, in the form of the dreaded Walls of Jericho.
"Nobody" defeated World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk. For the second time in three weeks, The Friday Night Delight used a quick counter to
score a second non-title victory over World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk. After the bell, the World Champion he refused to shake hands
because the last time they shook hands, Punk hit the GTS cheap shot on Morrison. Punk knows that by Morrison offering the hand, it comes
with consequences.
Layla’s Dance Interrupted. Former Miami Heat dancer Layla had her homecoming dance suddenly interrupted by Ricky Ortiz, who once again
attempted to bring his special brand of “Rally Up!” motivation to the WWE Universe. He presented Layla with a free “Rally Up!” towel, which
the insulted English Diva used to mock Ortiz before dropping it to the floor.
"Word Up"! with Cryme Tyme. Word of the day is "Championized. Jesse ends up in a laundry hamper.
Kane defeated "Ghetto Trash". Kane showed "Ghetto Trash" “what’s up” in their first match ever, beating him with a devastating boot to the face as
the energetic Superstar was coming off the top rope. But his triumph was cut short by the emergence of an irate Great Khali. As The Punjabi
Playboy stomped down to the ring, "Ghetto Trash" nailed The Big Red Machine with an explosive dropkick off the top rope, nearly allowing Khali to get
his mighty hands on his retreating prey.
Edge vows to come back from his injury. With uncharacteristic apprehension, The Rated-R Superstar said that he would do everything he could to
come back from the torn Achilles tendon injury that has shelved him indefinitely, and that it could very well spell the end of his career.
When his former partner, Unified Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho emerged to shoot disdain and doubt upon him, Edge pledged that “when” he
does come back to the ring, he will prove Chris Jericho and all other naysayers wrong.
The Hart Dynasty defeated Cryme Tyme & Eve. One day after Eve stopped Natalya from interfering in the Cryme Tyme vs. Hart Dynasty Match on “WWE
Superstars”, the Dungeon Diva executed an “Anvil-like” clothesline to pin her amidst mixed tag team action chaos.
Unified Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho & Dolph Ziggler defeated Jeff Hardy & Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio. The animosity between
the polar opposite Night of Champion opponents, World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk and Jeff Hardy, reached a new level of intensity. Hardy
insisted he will become the next World Heavyweight Champion while Punk says that his pay-per-view opponent is a consummate screw-up who will
never beat him. After listening to one insult too many, Hardy abruptly ended the confrontation, knocking the World Champion
to the canvas. Later, in the culmination of a spectacular tag team main event, Jeff Hardy threw Jericho in The Straightedge Champion’s
direction as he was sitting at the broadcast table. Punk then tossed Jericho into Hardy, knocking his Night of Champions challenger into the
unforgiving steel steps disqualifying he and Rey Mysterio in the process. After the match, the smiling United Tag Team Champion hooked in the
Walls of Jericho to the war-torn Charismatic No. 1 Contender while Punk looked on indifferently from outside the ring.

With Night of Champions just two nights away, SmackDown’s gladiators went to war within the Richmond Coliseum.
Jeff Hardy defeated Chris Jericho . In the first bout of the night, Jeff Hardy went head-to-head with Chris Jericho. With both poised to
compete at Night of Champions, the encounter was the perfect chance to gain momentum for Sunday. Hardy’s risk-taking tactics paid off as
the free-spirited daredevil defeated Jericho with a Swanton Bomb. With the loss and no announcement of who his new tag team partner will
be, will Jericho be ready for Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes?
The Great Khali defeated Mike Knox. It was a clash of the titans as powerhouse Mike Knox went head-to-head with The Great Khali. Toward the
end of the bout, Kane came to the entrance ramp to watch the battle. Knox held his own, but it was a Punjabi Plunge from Khali that put Knox
away. After the match, Khali motioned for Kane to come to the ring and get it on. Kane approached the ring and went as far as putting one
giant leg over the rope. However, shockingly, The Big Red Monster backed out of the ring and opted not to take on The Punjabi Giant.
“Word Up!” The word of the day was "Goat" Eve defined it as, Greatest Of All Time. Jesse "Jam Master J" was temporarily accepted by
"Cryme Tyme" as a brother and then once again rejected.
Dolph Ziggler defeated Fit Finlay. With the biggest match of his career on the horizon this Sunday against Intercontinental Champion Rey
Mysterio, Ziggler took on the veteran Finlay. After brawling with the Fighting Irishman outside the ring and driving him hard to the arena
floor, the young Superstar was able to get back in the ring, avoid the ref’s 10-count, and pick up the win.
World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk challenged the WWE Universe to just say “no”. As he prepares to defend his title at Night of Champions,
World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk offered some straightedge advice for the WWE Universe. But, his talk was interrupted by No.1 contender
Jeff Hardy, who said “People make mistakes, and those people can change.” On Sunday, the time for talking will be over when the two go
toe-to-toe for Punk’s title.
Eve Torres defeated Natalya Neidhart. With Cryme Tyme in her corner, Eve took on Natalya. In Natayla’s corner were David Hart Smith and Tyson
Kidd. Last week, The Hart Dynasty beat Cryme Tyme & Eve. However on this night, it was a Moonsault off the top rope from Eve that put away
Natalya for the win.
"Ghetto Trash" R-Truth undeservedly defeated Charlie Haas . Last week, "Ghetto Trash" fell to the powerful Kane. However, on this occasion,
"Ghetto Trash" put away Haas with a vicious scissors kick.
Rey Mysterio defeated C.M. Punk via a disqualification. In the night’s main event, it was a champion vs. champion war that ended in mayhem.
After Mysterio thwarted the Go to Sleep from Punk, he hit the 619 on the heavyweight champion and went for the pinfall. But as the ref pounded
out the three-count, Dolph Ziggler stormed into the ring at the last moment and attacked Mysterio. Ziggler’s interference resulted in an
immediate disqualification for CM Punk. But the action was far from over. Mysterio battled back and had Ziggler set up for the 619, but The
Straightedge Superstar stopped Mysterio in his tracks. Next, Ziggler launched a vicious assault on Mysterio. Then, before things could go
from bad to even worse for Mysterio, Jeff Hardy came to Mysterio’s aid, driving Ziggler out of the ring. But it was Punk who got the final
word in when he rushed in and dropped Hardy with the Go to Sleep.

Flying high since finally winning the World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions, Jeff Hardy came to SmackDown to celebrate with
the WWE Universe. But being at the top didn’t come without cost. Hardy found himself already defending his title against
John "Nobody" Morrison, and suffering a vicious attack from former champion CM Punk.
Cryme Tyme defeated The Hart Dynasty. At stake, an opportunity to compete for the Unified Tag Team Championship at SummerSlam. Cryme Tyme came
up big, getting a win over The Hart Dynasty when JTG dropped Tyson Kidd with a Shout Out. Now, the tag team from Brooklyn, N.Y., is poised to
take on Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show in perhaps the biggest match of their career.
Melina & Eve Torres defeated Michelle McCool & Layla. After their encounter at Night of Champions, Michelle McCool and Melina clashed again
in tag team action. This time, Melina earned some revenge when she dropped the champion with a quick-striking Primal Scream to get the pinfall.
Rey Mysterio & Fit Finlay defeated Dolph Ziggler & Mike Knox. After losing to Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio at Night of Champions,
Dolph Ziggler was looking to rebound in tag team action. Ziggler & Knox mounted a powerful offense, exhibiting control for most of the bout.
However, just like at Night of Champions, the champion proved his superiority by getting the pinfall over the brash Ziggler.
The Great Khali vs Charlie Haas ended in a no contest. Standing at 7-foot-3, The Great Khali dominated Charlie Haas. But before Khali could
finish off his opponent, Khali’s nemesis, Kane, came into the arena and manhandled Khali’s translator, Ranjin Singh. It looked as if Kane was
going to drag Singh out of the arena. However, the enraged Punjabi Giant was able to drive The Big Red Machine back up the ramp. As the
tension continues to mount between these colossal forces, how much longer until things boil over?
Jeff Hardy deservingly and easily defeated John "Nobody" Morrison retaining the title. Just days after defeating C.M. Punk to win the World
Title, Jeff Hardy put his gold on the line against John "Nobody" Morrison. In his first-ever World Heavyweight Championship match, "Nobody"
put Hardy to the test in an epic back-and-forth battle for gold. But the high-flyer prevailed, crushing "Nobody" with a Twist of Fate
followed up with a Swanton Bomb.
C.M. Punk attacks Jeff Hardy. As Hardy basked in the glow of his first successful title defense, CM Punk came to the ring to apparently
congratulate Hardy by raising his arm in victory. But then, in an ugly display of poor sportsmanship, The Straightedge Superstar viciously
assaulted Hardy amidst a chorus of boos from the WWE Universe. The crazed ex-champion reigned down blow upon blow on Hardy, leaving him
battered and beaten on the arena floor. Then, just when it appeared Punk was done, he attacked Hardy again, tossing his helpless body across
the announce table and onto the arena floor.

Before the bell could ring to start their World Heavyweight Championship rematch, Jeff Hardy and CM Punk attacked each other, quickly
bringing the WWE Universe into a state of absolute bedlam. Amidst the mass hysteria, WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon emerged, declaring that the two
Superstars would still have a World Heavyweight Championship Match with a “special guest enforcer,” handpicked by The Chairman himself.
John Morrison defeated Tyson Kidd. On the heels of The Friday Night Delight’s amazing World Heavyweight Championship Match with Jeff Hardy one
week ago, The Shaman of Sexy scored his second consecutive win over Tyson Kidd with the Starship Pain.
"Word Up" Cryme Tyme with Eve define "Pretenda" A fake wanna be. Jam Master J. says he`s not a Pretenda but rather a Representa.
Slam Master J. defeated Charlie Haas. With Cryme Tyme & Eve watching in a monitor in the back, Slam Master J overcame Charlie Haas with a
splash off the top rope.
Dolph Ziggler defeated R-Truth, Fit Finlay & Mike Knox. With Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio sitting at the broadcast table, Dolph
Ziggler hit Finlay with a devastating neckbreaker, conquering three elite Superstars to earn the right to once again face The Master of the
619 for the gold at SummerSlam. After the brutal match was over, Ziggler slapped the champion, prompting Mysterio to deliver
the seated senton to his new No. 1 contender.
J.T.G. defeated Chris Jericho. Cryme Tyme’s JTG completely stunned the WWE Universe, upsetting Unified Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho for the
biggest win of his singles career. After the first-ever Undisputed WWE Champion failed to get the pinfall because his opponent was under the
ropes, JTG executed an inside-cradle out of nowhere for the monumental victory. Could his amazing triumph over the highly decorated Jericho
be a sign of things to come for the No. 1 contenders as they prepare to face the Unified Tag Team Champions at SummerSlam?
The Great Khali defeated Ricky Ortiz. Although The Punjabi Playboy reigned supreme over Ricky Ortiz with The Punjabi Plunge in about a minute,
his victory soon turned to darkness when Kane emerged to attack him from behind. The Big Red Machine then turned his focus on Ranjin Singh,
assaulting Khali’s interpreter before dragging him off into the crowd.
World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy defeated C.M. Punk. To the shock of the WWE Universe, Matt Hardy emerged as Mr. McMahon’s special guest
enforcer. While Jeff was confronting his brother outside the ring, Punk used the distraction to attempt an attack on his adversary. But when
Jeff moved, it was his elder brother that took the hit instead. Moments later, when it looked like Punk may pin the World Champion, Matt
pulled the referee out of the ring. As Matt confronted Punk, Jeff rolled his opponent up and the guest enforcer himself counted Punk’s
shoulders to the canvas. The former ECW Champion then left without further action or comment. Following the bell, an enraged CM Punk viciously
attacked Hardy for the second week in a row, ruthlessly incorporating a chair to catastrophic ends. SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long
responded by making the blockbuster announcement that Jeff Hardy would again face CM Punk for the title at SummerSlam, in a Tables, Ladders,

Dolph Ziggler defeated Fit Finlay. The ultra-confident Ziggler reigned supreme over The Belfast Brawler, executing his vicious reverse bulldog
after Mike Knox struck Finlay with the Shillelagh. After the bell, Knox continued his unrelenting assault, ending with a calculated
backbreaker to Finlay onto the unforgiving steel steps.
C.M. Punk defeated John Morrison. The third time proved to be a charm for The Straightedge Superstar. After suffering two separate pinfalls at
the hands of The Friday Night Delight in recent weeks, the No. 1 contender to the World Heavyweight Championship foiled Morrison’s second
attempt at Starship Pain and hit the GTS.
Melina defeated Layla. The fierce Melina continued to run wild throughout Friday night, utilizing pure primal emotion to put away Layla and
send a strong message to Women’s Champion Michelle McCool.
Unified Tag Team Champion Big Show defeated J.T.G.. Despite an incredible victory over Unified Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho last week, JTG
could not climb to the heights of The World’s Largest Athlete. Shortly after the Jericho delivered a cheap shot to Shad outside the ring, Big
Show triumphed by submission with the excruciating Colossal Clutch. But as Big Show was exiting the ring, Shad delivered a shot of his own,
sending the gigantic Superstar crashing to the ringside floor below.
Ranjin Singh feels the terror of The Big Red Machine. Throughout the night, the WWE Universe stood witness as The Great Khali’s kidnapped
interpreter Ranjin Singh suffered the torment of The Big Red Monster from somewhere in the arena. Although Singh was made to say that he was
“being punished because of his association with The Great Khali,” his most startling words came when he proclaimed that he is the actually the
brother of The Punjabi Playboy. Khali finally found the completely tormented Singh, only to be attacked from behind by Kane with a pipe,
with horrifying brutality.
The Hart Dynasty defeated World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy. After his vicious attack on Jeff Hardy last week, CM Punk expounded on his
own TLC attributes, insisting that he would prove victorious in the World Heavyweight Championship Match at SummerSlam. After the former
champion promised to “end Jeff Hardy,” SmackDown General Manger Theodore Long stepped into the ring to refute Punk's claims that the injured
Hardy may be too hurt to compete at the pay-per-view. The war-torn Charismatic Champion himself then slowly emerged to echo Long’s statement,
promising to defeat Punk in nine days time. Though it seemed Hardy would be out of action for the night, WWE Chairman Mr.
McMahon soon dropped a bombshell by phone, ordering that, despite his injuries, the World Champion would have face The Hart Dynasty in a
Handicap Match. Though Hardy fought heroically, the 2-on-1 disadvantage proved too much for the injured champion, as he finally succumbed to
the Dynasty’s Hart Attack. When The Straightedge Superstar emerged to execute a post-match onslaught on his SummerSlam opponent, John Morrison
rushed down to Hardy’s defense. But the pair still found themselves outgunned once Punk incorporated the steel chair. Then, to the surprise
and delight of the WWE Universe, Matt Hardy suddenly burst onto the scene. After working to clear the ring, the elder Hardy extended an arm to
help his brother up, igniting an explosive roar from the ecstatic WWE Universe. Back in his office, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long
made the monumental announcement to Mr. McMahon that next week on SmackDown, CM Punk & The Hart Dynasty will face John Morrison and Matt &

With SummerSlam looming, SmackDown’s Superstars had a final chance to make statements and build momentum for the Main Event of the Summer.
Making the biggest statement of the night was Matt Hardy, who not only used words, but his actions, to let the WWE Universe know that he and
is brother Jeff are back and ready for action together!
Dolph Ziggler & Unified Tag Team Champions Big Show & Chris Jericho defeated Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio & Cryme Tyme. The main
event wasn’t the night’s only Six-Man Tag Team Match. The opening bout also featured a massive six-man encounter. The match appeared to be
over when Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio stunned Unified Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho with a 619. But before the Mysterio could
capitalize, Unified Tag Team Champion Big Show dropped the masked Superstar with a massive right to the head. Jericho still had the
wherewithal to tag in Ziggler, who wasted no time covering his SummerSlam opponent for the pinfall.
"The Hardys Ride Again". In an exclusive interview with Josh Mathews, Matt Hardy admitted he made a mistake in how he treated his brother
Jeff this year. Now, Matt says, “the Hardys ride again.”
Fit Finlay defeated Mike Knox via a disqualification. In a blue-collar battle of brute force, Mike Knox failed to heed the referee’s warning
to stop reigning down blows on a vulnerable Finlay. The disregard earned Knox the disqualification. But the brutality wasn’t over, as an angry
Knox destroyed The Fighting Irishman outside of the ring by smashing him in the skull with a section of the steel ring steps. Ouch!
Prelude to TLC? In an in-ring encounter earlier in the night, CM Punk once again lectured Jeff Hardy and the WWE Universe about the
straightedge lifestyle. But, Punk paid the price when he tried to knock the champion from atop a ladder in the middle of the ring. The
egregious actions prompted the high-flyer to crush the No. 1 contender with a Twist of Fate.
The Great Khali attacks Kane. Recalling what he did to The Great Khali’s brother, Ranjin Singh, on last week’s SmackDown, Kane claimed to be
the real monster who should be feared. Hearing enough talk, The Punjabi Giant decided not to wait until their SummerSlam match, and rushed to
the ring and attacked The Big Red Monster.
Melina & Maria defeated Layla & Natalya. It was the sexy, smart and powerful former Women’s Champion Melina who earned a convincing win over
Natalya. However, reigning Women's Champion Michelle McCool – who joined J.R. and Todd Grisham on commentary – was not impressed with the win.
World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy & John Morrison defeated C.M. Punk & The Hart Dynasty. The night’s main event featured the
reunited Hardy brothers, who proved they are once again a force to be reckoned with in WWE. A fired-up Matt Hardy took care of business by
dropping No. 1 contender CM Punk with a Twist of Fate to get the pinfall for his team. Does the win give World Heavyweight Champion Jeff
Hardy the momentum he needs to successfully defend his title against Punk this Sunday?

With a startling new pay-per-view looming on the horizon, one legendary Superstar was forced to leave the squared circle while another was
thrust into the realm of darkness.
Following his SummerSlam triumph, a gloating CM Punk returned to SmackDown as the "only
Straightedge Champion in WWE History." When The Charismatic Enigma interrupted his celebration, promising to end Punk’s reign in their steel
cage rematch, Punk proposed the loser be thrown out of WWE. As the shocked WWE Universe stood witness, Hardy accepted the huge gamble.
SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long arrived to set the stipulation in stone. He then dropped a bombshell, stating that at the brand new
pay-per-view WWE Breaking Point, where every main event will be a submission match, the winner of the steel cage clash would face Undertaker
for the World Heavyweight Championship.
John Morrison & Matt Hardy defeated The Hart Dynasty. Shortly after the Matt Hardy took Tyson Kidd out of the equation, “The Guru of Greatness”
hit the Starship Pain, pinning David Hart Smith to the delight of the WWE Universe.
" Ghetto Trash" R-Truth vs Drew McIntyre. Scottish competitor Drew McIntyre arrived in Phoenix looking to make a name for himself. And he
quickly made his mark at the expense of R-Truth, attacking the rapping Superstar while he was getting in the ring. After hitting Truth with a
devastating double-arm DDT, McIntyre declared to the WWE Universe that the party is over.
Melina defeated Layla. Although Melina was supposed to get an opportunity at Women’s Champion Michelle McCool’s title, the crutch-carrying
champion claimed that the “brutal” attack by her challenger one week earlier prevented her from competing. As a result, Michelle introduced
Layla as her substitute. Despite suffering an injured left leg during the match, Melina overcame her prey with unbridled, primal force. After
the bell, Melina once again attacked Michelle, making it clear that she wants her title back.
Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio defeated Kane. The Big Red Monster drew a disqualification after ignoring the official’s warnings about
viciously smashing Mysterio into the ringpost. Moments later, The Great Khali emerged, attempting The Punjabi Plunge. Kane escaped over the
top rope, only to meet a cane-wielding Ranjin Singh. The Punjabi Playboy followed suit, smashing the wooden weapon into his monstrous
adversary all the way up the ramp. As the smoke cleared, Dolph Ziggler attacked the masked Superstar from out of nowhere.
Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show defeated Cryme Tyme. Though originally a singles match between Shad and Jericho, interference
by The World’s Largest Athlete quickly changed the tide. After bedlam broke loose, Teddy Long changed the match into a SummerSlam tag team
rematch. In its climax, when it looked as if Shad might be closing the door on the first-ever Undisputed Champion, Big Show tagged himself
in, clobbering the unsuspecting opponent with the knockout punch to deliver the win for the champions.
Josh Mathews interviews Mike Knox. Mike Knox explained his recent acts of brutality on Finlay with an intricate explanation of the human
brain and a smug “why not?” But the anatomy lesson was cut short when The Belfast Brawler attacked Knox with the shillelagh.
World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk defeated Jeff Hardy. After years of incredible feats of reckless abandon, fate finally caught up with Jeff
Hardy in a moment of tragic irony. After blocking the high-flying specialist’s climb to victory, the World Heavyweight Champion superplexed
him from high atop of the cage. Hardy battled back heroically, trying to prevent his adversary from getting over the cage with every fiber of
his being. But a thumb to the eye by Punk sealed his fate, allowing The Straightedge Superstar to retain his title while simultaneously
vanquishing the amazing Jeff Hardy from the WWE ring. After Hardy delivered a heartfelt goodbye to the WWE Universe, the ruthless Punk added
insult to injury, attacking the departing Superstar from behind with the World title.

While the WWE Universe is still coming to terms with the departure of Jeff Hardy, it witnessed the crowning of a new Intercontinental
Champion in John Morrison, as well as the reemergence of one of WWE’s most ominous forces – The Undertaker!
Hardy "Punked"?. Covered in Jeff Hardy-style face paint, World Heavyweight Champion C.M. Punk teased the WWE Universe by entering the arena
to Jeff Hardy’s entrance music. Punk went on to disparage The Charismatic Enigma, flaunt his own “straightedge” lifestyle and dare his WWE
Breaking Point opponent, Undertaker, to face him in the ring. But instead of The Phenom, it was Matt Hardy who charged into the ring to brawl
with The Straightedge Superstar. The emotion-charged fight ended only when WWE officials separated the two Superstars. Later, when C.M. Punk
confronted SmackDown General Manger Theodore Long, Teddy agreed for both Superstars to meet in a non-title match later in the night.
Fit Finlay & The Great Khali defeated Kane & Mike Knox. Even with The Great Khali at Finlay's side, Kane and Mike Knox formed an imposing
challenge for The Fighting Irishman and his massive partner. In the end, it was the smallest Superstar of the four – Fit Finlay – who earned
the victory for his team, when he smashed big Mike Knox in the head with his trusty shillelagh to get the pinfall. At WWE Breaking Point, The
Great Khali and Kane will square off one-on-one in a Singapore Cane Match.
John "Nobody" Morrison defeated Rey Mysterio. In the biggest match of his career, "Nobody" finally did what Dolph Ziggler has been unable to do –
dethrone Rey Mysterio to win the Intercontinental Championship. Despite a valiant fight from Mysterio to hold onto what was his, it was
Starship Pain from "Nobody" which ushered in the new champion. Now, "Nobody" will defend his new title against Dolph Ziggler at WWE Breaking
Point.
Drew McIntyre assaults "Ghetto Trash" R-Truth. After being “overlooked” last week, Drew McIntyre said he wanted to make a statement.
Unfortunately for "Ghetto Trash", McIntyre used him to deliver his painful message. After "Ghetto Trash" entered performing his signature
“What’s Up!?" song, McIntyre brutally assaulted him, leveling him with a Double-Arm DDT. What's next from this young Superstar?
Maria & Eve defeated Layla & Natalya Neidhart. With a well-executed Handspring Splash, Eve dropped Layla to get the victory for her team. The win
was a measure of retribution for the previous night, when Natalya pinned Eve in a Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match on “WWE Superstars”
Matt Hardy vs World Heavyweight Champion C.M. Punk. In Matt Hardy’s first one-on-one match on SmackDown since having abdominal surgery, he
was looking to represent the Hardy name and take down the reigning champion in the night’s main event. In a battle of wills, it was anyone’s
match to win. However, before a victor could be decided, Undertaker emerged to confront his WWE Breaking Point opponent. In a swift and
powerful assault, The Phenom chokeslammed Punk through the announce table, leaving him a lifeless heap on the arena floor.

The Undertaker opened SmackDown with the chilling proclamation that World Heavyweight Champion C.M. Punk will feel the devastating grip of
Hell’s Gate in their Submission Match at WWE Breaking Point, before handing The Phenom both the title and his very soul. Punk then burst upon
the scene, declaring that he only wants one thing this Sunday: To make The Deadman tap out for all the WWE Universe to see.
Fit Finlay defeated Mike Knox. Amidst the unrelenting fury of the vicious Belfast Brawl, Finlay reigned supreme over Mike Knox, smashing his
brutal adversary with a shillelagh shot heard all the way in Northern Ireland.
Backstage, While talking to Dolph Ziggler, Michelle suddenly fell into his arms. But, as Ziggler caught the falling champion,
Layla snapped a picture on her phone. Could the devious duo be trying to destroy Maria’s happy relationship?
The Great Khali vs David Hart Smith ended in a no contest. Before Khali’s match with David Hart Smith could begin, Kane attacked The Punjabi
Playboy from behind, attempting to finish him off with a Singapore Cane. However, Khali stopped him short, sending The Big Red Machine
crashing downward with The Punjabi Plunge. But who will fall at the force of the Singapore Cane this Sunday at WWE Breaking Point?
Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show defeated Cryme Tyme. At the culmination of an all-out tag team onslaught by both sides,
a knockout blow from The World’s Largest Athlete closed the door on JTG, just as he was bringing himself back into the ring. Will this give
the elite combination of Big Show & Jericho the momentum they need to topple the formidable MVP & Mark Henry in just two days?
Backstage, Vince informed Teddy Long that he is still on probation and not happy with Smackdown`s events and happenings and wants more
spectacular things to happen on the show. SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long then informed WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon that he has a huge
surprise planned for next week's show.
Intercontinental Champion John "Nobody" Morrison defeated Charlie Haas. "Nobody" secured his first win as Intercontinental Champion, hitting
Charlie Haas with the ever-explosive Starship Pain. After the bell, a very unhappy Dolph Ziggler – upset about "Nobody" being given a title
opportunity after he had earned that distinction himself – decided to interrupt. When "Nobody" proposed that they have Ziggler’s title match
right away, the brash Superstar informed him that his title opportunity will be on his terms.
Backstage, Josh Mathews interviewed Matt Hardy who spoke of tonight`s Submission Match against C.M. Punk.
Layla defeated Melina. Following a crutch-blasting assault from the injured Women’s Champion Michelle McCool, Layla picked up the huge pin
over the ultra-fierce Melina.
Taking out the Trash. Backstage Josh Mathews interviewed "Ghetto Trash" R-Truth. Drew McIntyre attacked "Ghetto Trash" from behind and said
that this will continue to occur each and every week.
World Heavyweight Champion C.M. Punk defeated Matt Hardy. In the main event, “the only Straightedge Champion in WWE history” made a tremendous
statement about his upcoming match with The Deadman, forcing Matt Hardy to tap out to his excruciating Anaconda Vise. Although Punk held the
gold high above his head, darkness soon overcame his triumph. And when illumination was restored, Undertaker was standing at the top of the
ramp, clutching Punk’s World Title in his mighty hands.

In the wake of a controversial ending to the World Heavyweight Championship main event at WWE Breaking Point, all of SmackDown held their
collective breath as the WWE Universe attempted to establish where the blame should lay.
Intercontinental Champion John "Nobody" Morrison defeated Mike Knox. With his Hell in a Cell challenger Dolph Ziggler joining the broadcast team,
"Nobody" overcame Mike Knox with Starship Pain. After the match, "Nobody" instigated a humiliating “Mr. Ziggles” chant from the
WWE Universe.
Backstage, Josh Mathews interviews referee Scott Armstrong.
When interviewed as to why he called for the bell the second CM Punk locked in the Anaconda Vise on Undertaker at WWE Breaking Point,
official Scott Armstrong seemed to imply that he made the questionable call because his job was on the line. He said that someone “much
higher than him” had told him to do what he did.
Melina defeated WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool. As Michelle was picking her fierce opponent up on her shoulder, Melina suddenly whipped
herself and the Women’s Champion to the canvas with an aggressive primal scream for the decisive pin.
Backstage in Teddy Long`s office, WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon denied any involvement in the controversial ending to the World Heavyweight
Championship main event at WWE Breaking Point, demanding to know why SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long “double-crossed Undertaker.”
As a result, Long was forced to come before the WWE Universe and take responsibility.
Long admitted the entire incident was “pre-planned” to prevent Undertaker from becoming champion. The apprehensive GM reminded the fans that
Scott Armstrong and CM Punk were also involved, before inferring that his job was on the line as well. He apologized to all, asking for The
Deadman’s forgiveness.
Backstage in the parking garage, security delivered Long safely back to his limousine, he was shocked to discover that The Phenom was in the
driver’s seat. As the doors locked and ominous smoke filled the car, The Deadman drove off with Teddy Long in frightening captivity.
Despite the controversy, World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk emerged to relish in his victory. Taking no responsibility in the incident itself,
he proclaimed that he was the first man in WWE history to make Undertaker tap out. He then proceeded to sing his praises while preaching to
the WWE Universe about their many “inadequacies.”
The Hart Dynasty defeated Cryme Tyme. While Natalya distracted the official amidst the chaotic culmination of a hard-fought match, the outside
man David Hart Smith kicked JTG with a devastating boot, allowing the legal Superstar Tyson Kidd to finish the job and pick up the win.
Backstage, Maria discovers Melina with the picture of Dolph Ziggler and Michelle McCool taken last week by Layla.
Maria says she is done with Melina.
The Great Khali defeated Kane via a disqualification. The Big Red Machine brought his match with The Punjabi Playboy to a quick and painful
end, blasting him out of nowhere with the steel chair. Kane then placed Khali’s leg on the lower half of the steel steps and hurled the upper
part of the metal structure onto his fallen adversary’s exposed appendage with relentless force. Khali was forced the leave on a stretcher.
Drew McIntyre continues his rampage. Though R-Truth was supposed to face Charlie Haas, Drew McIntyre emerged to reveal that he could not
compete because of an “accident." He then surprised Haas with his brutal double-armed DDT.
Batista defeated Unified Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho. Batista made his return to SmackDown after choosing to move from Monday Night Raw to
Friday nights after his WWE contract expired. But his heartwarming return was cut short by Chris Jericho, who ridiculed The Animal’s recent
injuries, calling himself “the true face of SmackDown.” Batista informed Jericho that they would face each other in the main event, before
delivering a vicious Spinebuster on the first-ever Undisputed Champion. Jericho soon informed his partner Big Show that he
would face the returning Superstar alone. After Batista freed himself from the Walls of Jericho, he countered Jericho’s Codebreaker with a
Batista Bomb for the main-event victory.
Backstage, Josh Mathews interviews The Big Show. The Big Show issued a challenge to Batista for next week on Smackdown.

Despite World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk once again finding a way to beat The Undertaker, The Phenom will have his chance for revenge
against The Straightedge Superstar at Hell in a Cell. And, as per SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long, The Deadman’s Hell’s Gate
submission hold is now fully legal.
Hell’s Gate legalized. Last week, Undertaker took Teddy on a limo ride from hell. This week, the GM returned to SmackDown – bound and gagged
in a coffin carried into the arena by Undertaker’s druids! After Punk assisted Long in exiting the ominous enclosure, the shaken GM informed
Punk he would face The Phenom at Hell in a Cell. And to Punk’s dismay, Teddy informed Punk that Undertaker’s Hell’s Gate submission hold is
now fully legal.
Intercontinental Champion John "Nobody" Morrison & Fit Finlay defeated Dolph Ziggler & Mike Knox. For most of the match, "Nobody" could only
watch as his partner, Fit Finlay, did his best against big Mike Knox and No. 1 contender Dolph Ziggler. But, as soon as "Nobody" got involved,
the momentum began to shift. Then – after Knox accidently crushed his own partner with a cross body – Finlay capitalized on the distraction
by smashing Knox in the back of his head with his trusty shillelagh. "Nobody" took advantage, delivering Starship Pain to Knox.
Slam Master J. defaced Teddy’s office. In an effort to be “down” with Cryme Tyme and Eve, Slam Master J. defaced Teddy Long’s office with
spray paint. The angry GM informed Slam Master J. he would face a mystery opponent in a match later in the night.
Kane defeated Slam Master J.. Despite wanting to “represent,” Slam Master J. stood no chance against Kane. The Big Red Monster destroyed his
smaller opponent with a monstrous choke slam.
Backstage, Mr. McMahon told C.M. Punk it was Punk`s conspiracy involving The Undertaker and that he wouldn`t want to be C.M. Punk tonight.
The Chairman signed Drew McIntyre. After reminding the WWE Universe of the significance of the upcoming “Decade of SmackDown” special next
week, Mr. McMahon announced he signed young Superstar Drew McIntrye to the SmackDown roster. After McIntyre touted himself to the WWE
Universe, he was “welcomed” by "Ghetto Trash" R-Truth, who attacked the Superstar Mr. McMahon dubbed a future World Heavyweight Champion.
Dave "The Animal" Batista defeated The Big Show via a disqualification. Unified Tag Team Champion Big Show wanted to do what his partner,
Chris Jericho, was unable to do last week – defeat Batista. With lingering feelings from the loss, Jericho lurked at ringside, finally
inserting himself in the action when it looked like Big Show might succumb to an ankle lock. But as soon as Jericho jumped in the ring to
help, he was met with a brutal Spinebuster and subsequent ankle lock from The Animal. Adding insult to injury, Jericho’s infraction
ultimately caused Big Show to lose by disqualification.
Backstage, Mr. McMahon asks Teddy Long where his picture is and Teddy says it`s not finished yet. Vince insists on seeing it and Teddy
reveals a picture of Vince that has been spraypainted with the words, Vinnie Da Mac by Jesse earlier in the evening. Vince is not very happy
with Theodore Long
David Hart Smith defeated J.T.G.. The various associates at ringside proved to be the deciding factor in this bout. First, Natalya saved a
potential pinfall over DH smith by pulling his leg outside the ropes, causing the ref to stop the 3-count. Angered by the interference, Eve
attacked Natalya. Next, it was Tyson Kidd who got involved, stunning JTG with a cheap kick to the head. With JTG dazed, Smith capitalized,
dropping him with a massive suplex.
Biggest Eight-Man Tag Team Match in SmackDown history!
Next week on the “Decade of SmackDown” celebration, it will be Undertaker, WWE Champion John Cena & DX vs. World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk,
Randy Orton & The Legacy.
Batista announced Rey Mysterio as his partner for Hell in a Cell. In an exclusive interview with Josh Mathews, The Animal dropped the
bombshell news that the Master of the 619, Rey Mysterio, will be his partner to help take on Unified Tag Team Champions Big Show and Chris
Jericho at Hell in a Cell.
World Heavyweight Champion C.M. Punk defeated Undertaker via a count out. As World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk battled Undertaker in the
night’s main event, the thoughts of what transpired at WWE Breaking Point were still fresh in the minds of everyone in the WWE Universe. As
both Superstars waged war, the action spilled out onto the arena floor. It looked as if Punk was done for, when The Deadman prepared to slam
him onto the announce table. But, The Straightedge Superstar managed to avoid being trounced and pushed Undertaker onto the announce table.
As the ref neared the 10-count, Punk slithered back into the ring. The Deadman entered right on Punk’s tail, but it was not quick enough to
avoid the ref’s final count of 10.

On an historic edition of SmackDown, WWE celebrated a decade of bringing entertainment to millions of fans around the world. The night
culminated in an epic Eight-Man Tag Team Match, featuring a thunderous Tombstone from Undertaker to Randy Orton.
New music and video footage open the show.
Backstage, a party with numerous WWE alumni goes on with Hornswoggle tending bar.
Batista defeated Kane. In the night’s opening bout, Batista battled Kane. As the two powerhouses mixed it up in the corner, it was a
thunderous Batista Bomb that toppled the 300-pound Big Red Monster and abruptly ended the match. At Hell in a Cell, The Animal must face an
even bigger force when he teams with Rey Mysterio to take on Unified Tag Team Champion Big Show & Chris Jericho.
Backstage, the party continues with Michael Cole, Fit Finlay and Teddy Long taking shots of whiskey while C.M. Punk interrupts their good
time saying that Smackdown should be booze free. Vickie Guerrero appears with new WWE superstar, just signed by Vince, Eric Escobar and
informs Teddy Long she will be returning as his manager. Santino Marella sneaks up behind Theodore Long dressed up as The Undertaker,
giving Teddy a good scare, while Michael Cole continues eating VINTAGE shrimp.
Backstage, the party continues as numerous superstars and alumni such as Sergeant Slaughter and The Iron Sheik are invited into the V.I.P.
lounge. Zack Ryder is the only one that is not allowed admittance via Mark Henry and M.V.P.. Michael Cole and Fit Finlay continue drinking
shots and Cole continues to eat enormous amounts of VINTAGE shrimp asking Hornswoggle to get him more shrimp which refers to Hornswoggle`s
size. Hornswoggle then punches Cole in the stomach.
A video tribute looking back at Eddie Guerrero is played.
Dolph Ziggler & The Miz defeated Intercontinental Champion John Morrison & United States Champion Kofi Kingston. There was no love lost in
this encounter pitting Hell in the Cell opponents against each other, as well as former tag team partners and co-hosts of “The Dirt Sheet.”
In the end, it was the young Dolph Ziggler who shined when he dropped Intercontinental Champion John Morrison with the Zig Zag. Can Ziggler
do the same when he faces The Guru of Greatness at Hell in a Cell?
Backstage, the party continues as Sergeant Slaughter and The Iron Sheik argue about the U.S.A. vs Iran. Iron Sheik says Iran is number one
and U.S.A. is, as Sheik is about to spit he chokes and the Hurricane comes to his aid giving him the heimlich manuever. Cole and Finlay
continue drinking shots as Chris Jericho and Big Show enter the picture. As Jericho goes on with his usual diatribe Michael Cole throws up on
Jericho`s feet. The Big Show then becomes ill and dashes away to throw up. Can someone get Michael Cole a cab?
The Rock Says So! In a colorful address to the WWE Universe, The Rock offered his unique take on the past, present and future of SmackDown, as
well as Hell in a Cell. “The Great One” even hinted at guest-hosting Raw.
WWE Women's Champion Michelle McCool defeated Melina. With a crew of sexy, smart and powerful Lumberjacks surrounding the ring, Women’s
Champion Michelle McCool defended her gold against Melina. In the end, it was an attack from Beth Phoenix to Melina which enabled McCool to
get Melina in her clutches and dispatch her with a Faithbreaker.
The Undertaker talks of C.M. Punk and his match with Punk this coming Sunday at the Hell In A Cell pay per view.
Backstage, the party continues as Drew McIntyre makes a toast and is attacked by "Ghetto Trash" R-Truth.
WWE Champion John Cena, Undertaker & DX defeated World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, Randy Orton & Legacy. In the biggest Eight-Man Tag Team
Match in SmackDown history, Superstars from both SmackDown and Raw battled for bragging rights on one of the biggest nights in WWE. After a
hard-fought war, it was Undertaker who reigned supreme for his team when he crushed Randy Orton with a devastating Tombstone. The brutal end
begs the question – what kind of condition will The Viper be in on Sunday when he takes on WWE Champion John Cena in Hell in a Cell?

With Hell in a Cell behind the WWE Universe and WWE Bragging Rights rapidly approaching, several of SmackDown’s fierce competitors showcased
exactly what they have to brag about. But, it was the announcement of a monumental pay-per-view match that inspired three Superstars, while
stacking the odds against The Phenom holding the World Heavyweight Title.
Bitter about losing the World Heavyweight Championship to The Undertaker, CM Punk was disgusted
to not hear SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long announce an automatic title rematch. It appeared, however, The Straightedge Superstar
would get his wish when Mr. McMahon arrived. Not exactly. After expressing some displeasure with Teddy Long that seemed to suggest his
opinion that the GM is continuing to provoke the World Heavyweight Champ, the WWE Chairman told Punk he will have the opportunity to reclaim
the gold at WWE Bragging Rights. But, “The Second City Saint” won’t be the only one to have a chance. Mr. McMahon introduced a Fatal-4-Way
Match for the title that will require The Deadman to defend his championship against Punk, Rey Mysterio and Batista.
Rey Mysterio defeated Chris Jericho. Ecstatic over the opportunity to capture the World Title at WWE Bragging Rights, Rey Mysterio utilized
that motivation to get some payback from what transpired at Hell in a Cell when he and Batista lost to Big Show & Chris Jericho for the
Unified Tag Team Championship. The masked wonder escaped the Walls of Jericho and dialed up the 619 for the impressive victory.
Word Up with Cryme Tyme. The word of the week is Eve, who is going up against Michelle McCool, next.
Women’s Champion Michelle McCool defeated Eve Torres. Last week on the “Decade of SmackDown” special, Women’s Champion Michelle McCool used
some assistance from Beth Phoenix to retain the gold against Melina in a Divas Lumberjack Match. The smart, sexy and powerful champion didn’t
require support against Eve this week as a wicked kick to the jaw ended her opponent’s night in a flash.
Backstage, Vickie Guerrero with her new boyfriend Eric Escobar. Vickie remind Theodore Long he is still on probation.
Intercontinental Champion John "Nobody" Morrison defeated Dolph Ziggler. "Nobody" may want to thank SmackDown Diva Maria for her choice of
rest. In a rematch from Hell in a Cell, "Nobody" retained his title after Dolph Ziggler’s plan of attack didn’t go as planned. The beach
blonde Superstar placed a steel chair next to the ring, but Maria decided to use it to sit down. "Nobody" took full advantage of Ziggler and
Maria’s disorder as he performed the Flying Chuck kick to seal the deal. Afterwards, Ziggler was so upset with the Diva that he ended their
personal relationship.
Backstage, Dolp Ziggler dumps Maria. Dolph tells Maria that she and him are no more.
Backstage, Rey Mysterio and Dave Batista talk of hoping to win the World Heavyweight Championship.
Drew McIntyre & Kane defeated "Ghetto Trash" R-Truth & Matt Hardy. Drew McIntyre & Kane looked extremely impressive in their first tag team
action together as they stomped on "Ghetto Trash" and Matt Hardy. McIntyre, who was personally signed to the SmackDown roster by Mr. McMahon,
finished the match with a Double Underhook DDT on Hardy.
World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker fears no one. The Undertaker addressed the WWE Universe for the first time since winning his
seventh World Championship. The Deadman declared that CM Punk escaped Hell in a Cell in one piece, but that he will claim his soul at WWE
Bragging Rights. The Phenom also stated that Batista’s strength and rage will not be enough to save him, and that despite his legendary
heart and courage, Mysterio will not be granted any mercy.
C.M. Punk defeated Batista via a count out. The night didn’t get any easier for Punk as he had to deal with The Animal in the main event.
Despite outsmarting Batista to win by count-out, the former three-time World Heavyweight Champion couldn’t escape a bone-crushing Batista
Bomb after the match had ended. Was this a sign of things to come for Punk? Or will he be the one celebrating with the title at WWE Bragging
Rights?

With WWE Bragging Rights just nine days away, Friday night’s Superstars were looking to earn spots on Team SmackDown in four hotly contested
qualifying matches. And it wasn’t just the Superstars who wanted to brag. Former SmackDown announcer Michael Cole – filling in for a missing
Jim Ross – called Raw the outright superior brand!
WWE Bragging Rights Co-Captains confident. At the start of the night, Kane declared himself Team SmackDown Co-Captain with Unified Tag Team
Champion Chris Jericho. In discussing the WWE Bragging Rights Tag Team Match, Jericho boldly predicted that with The Big Red Monster’s
strength and his genius, Team Raw doesn’t stand a chance.
Dolph Ziggler defeated Fit Finlay and Mike Knox in a Triple Threat WWE Bragging Rights Qualifying Match. In a match with major implications,
the young Dolph Ziggler saw an opportunity and took it. Finlay smashed Mike Knox with his shillelagh and appeared to have the big man right
where he wanted – until Ziggler pulled Finlay off the fallen Knox to cover him and claim the pinfall for himself.
Cryme Tyme defeated The Hart Dynasty in a Tag Team WWE Bragging Rights Qualifying Match. With JTG’s pinfall over Tyson Kidd, Cryme Tyme
stamped its ticket as part of the seven-Superstar blue team competing at WWE Bragging Rights. Team Raw no doubt took notice of the formidable
duo they will now have to face.
Team SmackDown Co-Captain Chris Jericho wants a win from McCool. Eager for a good showing at WWE Bragging Rights, Chris Jericho wanted
assurance from Women’s Champion Michelle McCool that she would represent the blue brand well. Jericho got what he wanted, but new SmackDown
Divas Mickie James and Beth Phoenix had something to say about the matter.
CM Punk to face World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker for his title on SmackDown!. Although CM Punk couldn’t get Mr. McMahon to call off the
WWE Bragging Rights Fatal-4-Way Match, The Straightedge Superstar did receive a title match with World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker
next Friday on SmackDown! Plus, the encounter will be contested in exactly the way Punk wants – a Submission Match. And just like at WWE
Breaking Point, Scott Armstrong will be the referee, with SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long at ringside.
Eric Escobar defeated Matt Hardy in a WWE Bragging Rights Qualifying Match. In his SmackDown debut, Vickie Guerrero’s boyfriend, Eric
Escobar, stunned both Matt Hardy and the WWE Universe by picking up the “W.” Distracted by a screaming Vickie at ringside, Matt was driven
into the steel ring post by Escobar. Reeling from the collision, Hardy was easy prey for Escobar to cover for the pinfall.
The return of “The Dirt Sheet”. United States Champion The Miz and Intercontinental Champion John Morrison reunited for a special live
edition of “The Dirt Sheet.” After trading verbal insults and touting their respective brands, it looked like things were going to get
physical between the former tag team champions. However, The Miz opted to back down from The Friday Night Delight and leave the ring.
Drew McIntyre defeated "Ghetto Trash" R-Truth by Count-out in a WWE Bragging Rights Qualifying Match. With a damaging offensive attack,
Drew McIntyre targeted R-Truth’s back by driving him into the steel ring post and stairs, then to the outside floor. R-Truth dug deep and
fought a competitive battle, but the onslaught was too much to handle. After having his feet swept out from under him and falling hard on
his already-injured back, Truth could not recover in time to re-enter the ring before the ref’s 10-count.
Backstage, Rey Mysterio and Dave Batista talk of tonight` match and how they both want to win the World Title at Bragging Rights.
The Undertaker’s message. As next Friday’s Submission Match on SmackDown and the WWE Bragging Rights Fatal-4-Way World Heavyweight
Championship approach, The Undertaker offered some foreboding words for not only CM Punk, but also Scott Armstrong and Theodore Long.
"Once you enter Hell's Gate, there's no turning back," he warned.
Rey Mysterio defeated Batista. In Friday night’s main event, longtime friends and WWE Bragging Rights Fatal-4-Way contestants Rey Mysterio
and Batista were forced to go one-on-one. After a competitive battle, Mysterio pulled off the win, pinning The Animal. Although there was
some question regarding whether or not one of Batista’s shoulders had been fully on the canvas, the ref’s call stood. After Batista conceded
the win to his friend and exited the ring, CM Punk rushed out of the crowd and into the ring, dropping Mysterio with the Go to Sleep.
The Animal came charging back to drive Punk off. All three will meet again when they face The Deadman at WWE Bragging Rights.

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross is once again attacked by Bell’s palsy.
The latest from J.R. on his condition.
I just wanted to check in and thank the WWE Universe for all their thoughts and prayers
during my most recent Bells palsy attack which marks the 3rd time this wacky ailment has gotten to me.
My medical care has been timely and I got started on the meds I needed the very night I was
stricken which was Monday when I was on my way to Columbia, S.C. to tape Friday Night Smackdown.
There was some scary moments on the plane as many Bells palsy symptoms are akin to having a stroke which, luckily, wasn't my issue.
The healing process for this disease is slow and requires patience,
something that my friends will tell you that I have not been blessed with an over abundance.
I had my 1st attack in 1994 and the second one in 1997 which took me about 4 months from which to return to broadcasting.
I don't feel that this particular incident will take that long to heal from but, again, only time will tell.
I know this...I will remain positive and I will be back at ringside "Sooner" than later.
Thanks to my friends Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler for taking up the slack in my absence
in Columbia while my regular partner Todd Grisham was on his honeymoon.
King and Cole will handle the announcing for Smackdown Friday night and they will, without question, do a great job.

Co-captains' challenge. Kicking off the night were Team SmackDown co-captains Unified Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho and Kane, who issued a
stunning challenge to their team members – to keep their spots on the team, they needed to win a lopsided Nine-Man Tag Team Match right there
on SmackDown!
Fit Finlay, 'Ghetto Trash" R-Truth, Matt Hardy & The Hart Dynasty defeated Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Eric Escobar & J.T.G. in a
Nine-Man Tag Team Match. Team SmackDown co-captains Jericho and Kane wielded their power in arranging this match of epic proportions. The
winning team would join the elite “SmackDown Seven” at WWE Bragging Rights. The match itself – and its outcome – proved how fast big things
can happen in WWE. After Finlay smashed JTG with his shillelagh, Matt Hardy dropped the Cryme Tyme member with a Twist of Fate to stamp his
team’s ticket to join Jericho & Kane at WWE Bragging Rights.
Intercontinental Champion John "Nobody" Morrison defeated Mike Knox. With his highly-anticipated match against The Miz just two days away,
Intercontinental Champion John "Nobody" Morrison first had to do battle with big Mike Knox. "Nobody" stood toe-to-toe with the formidable foe
and eventually finished him off with Starship Pain. Does The Miz have what it takes to take on his former tag team partner and co-host of
“The Dirt Sheet”?
Backstage, Chris Jericho and Kane talk with their new Team Smackdown members.
Backstage, Mae Young and Mickie James are talking when Michelle McCool enters. Michelle tells Mae to shut up and Mae slaps Michelle.
Backstage, Batista and Rey Mysterio disagree about who really won last weeks match and discuss the title match at Bragging Rights this coming Sunday.
Rey Mysterio & Batista defeated Chris Jericho & Kane. Last week, the WWE Universe witnessed Rey Mysterio defeat Batista despite uncertainty on
whether he was fully pinned. This week, Mysterio took a “hit” for Batista when he received the full brunt of a chokeslam from Kane instead of
The Animal. Despite being crushed, the move proved to be a wise one for the masked superstar as it allowed his partner to deliver a vicious
spear, dropping The Big Red Machine for the win.
Stacking the deck. Prior to the night’s main event, Mr. McMahon met with Armstrong, Long and Punk to discuss The Straightedge Superstar’s
match with The Phenom. Clearly, The Chairman has a strong interest in who holds the World Title. Will his influence carry over to the Fatal
Four Way at WWE Bragging Rights?
Mickie James defeated Layla. Making her SmackDown debut since the tri-brand Divas trade, Mickie James picked up an impressive win over Layla.
With James not in action at WWE Bragging Rights, how long before the former Raw Diva looks to make a statement on Friday nights?
A look back at Louis Vincent Albano 1933 - 2009.
World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker defeated C.M. Punk in a Championship Submission Match. The odds were stacked against World Heavyweight
Champion Undertaker from the start. In CM Punk’s corner were referee Scott Armstrong and SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long, setting the
stage for a repeat of what transpired at WWE Breaking Point. However, the champion took matters into his own hands to keep his coveted gold.
After chokeslamming Armstrong and escaping Punk’s deadly Anaconda Vise, The Phenom locked The Straightedge Superstar in Hell’s Gate, forcing
him to submit. Long looked visibly shaken at the outcome.

In the ring, Theodore Long takes the Bragging Rights trophy from Chris Jericho saying it belongs to Smackdown.
Jericho says it was himself who single handedly won the trophy. Kane enters and says it was also he that helped
win the Bragging Rights match and trophy for Smackdown. Teddy says that Jericho will wrestle Kane later tonight
to see who will be included in a Triple Threat match at Survivor Series for the World Heavyweight title.
Dolph Ziggler defeated Intercontinental Champion John "Nobody" Morrison via a count out. Though Dolph Ziggler may be “Mr. Ziggles” to
"Nobody", his name was Mr. Winner this week on SmackDown. After Ziggler avoided Starship Pain by exiting the ring, he used both quick
thinking and the announce table to incapacitate "Nobody" long enough to pick up the win via a count out.
Backstage, C.M. Punk complains to Teddy Long that he should be in the title match at upcoming Survivor Series.
Vince enters and makes a match between Punk and referee Scott Armstrong.
Beth Phoenix defeated Jenny Brooks. “The Fabulous Firebird” followed up her crucial Team Blue pinfall in the SmackDown vs. Raw Divas Tag Team
Match this past Sunday by decimating Jenny Brooks with the powerful Glam Slam.
Matt Hardy defeated Eric Escobar. Despite a knee injury, Matt Hardy hit a surprise neckbreaker to overcome newcomer Eric Escobar in a
hard-fought rematch of their WWE Bragging Rights qualifier two weeks ago. The loss marked Escobar’s first singles defeat in WWE.
Problems intensified between Rey Mysterio and Batista. At WWE Bragging Rights, Batista snapped on his comrade-in-arms Rey Mysterio, blaming
the masked Superstar for costing him the gold against The Phenom. And while Mysterio returned to SmackDown trying to rectify the situation,
The Animal wanted to have no part of it. Instead, Batista demanded The Master of the 619 leave “his” ring. Mysterio continuously refused,
trying desperately to fix things between himself and his “best friend.” Finally, an incensed Batista walked away.
Backstage, Matt Hardy tried to prevent Batista from making the same mistakes he did against a “brother,” Batista responded by throwing him
into a chain link fence. As a result, The Animal will take on Hardy next week.
Drew McIntyre vs Fit Finlay ended in a No Contest. Drew McIntyre - the Superstar personally signed by Mr. McMahon - attacked Finlay before
their match could begin. His brutal yet effective assault on The Belfast Brawler served as yet another example by The Scottish Superstar that
the “party has just begun.”
Cryme Tyme presented the: “Diva Halloween Costume Contest”. With JTG and Shad at the mic, Natalya Neidhart, Layla, Michelle McCool and
Mickie James went Halloween, modeling their costumes before the WWE Universe as only the smart, sexy, and powerful could. But when Mickie
James won the contest, beautiful bedlam quickly ensued. Though Mickie made short work of both Natalya and Layla, her offense came to a sudden
halt, thanks to a vicious kick by Michelle.
C.M. Punk defeated Scott Armstrong. One week after losing the World Heavyweight Championship Submission Match to The Demon of Death Valley,
The Straightedge Superstar was given a match against official Scott Armstrong by Mr. McMahon himself. Though Armstrong refused to go down
easy, hitting Punk with some good punches, in the end, The Second City Saint made quick work of his outmatched opponent with the GTS.
Unified Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho defeated Kane – Jericho earned a World Heavyweight Championship opportunity at Survivor Series.
Following a controversial victory by The SmackDown Seven this past Sunday, co-captains Jericho and Kane both attempted to collect a golden
opportunity from their SmackDown General Manager. As a result, Theodore Long announced that the two Superstars would face each other, with
the winner being inserted into the World Title Match at Survivor Series between World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker and Big Show. When the
smoked cleared at the end of the night, it was the first-ever Undisputed WWE Champion who reigned supreme over The Big Red Machine, executing
the Codebreaker as Kane was descending from the top rope. The huge victory propelled Jericho into an explosive Triple Threat World Heavyweight
Championship Match at Survivor Series.

In the ring, Undertaker recalled his ominous legacy. Recalling his first Survivor Series – and looking to the 2009 event – World Heavyweight Champion
Undertaker reminded the WWE Universe of the many Superstars he has vanquished over the years. Unimpressed, Unified Tag Team Champion Chris
Jericho interrupted The Phenom’s address with his own self-centered views. But, the tag team champion paid a heavy price for his
indiscretion – a massive boot to the face. They cross paths once again in the Triple Threat Match with Big Show at Survivor Series.
Dolph Ziggler & The Hart Dynasty defeated John "Nobody" Morrison & Cryme Tyme. Dolph Ziggler gained a huge boost of confidence by pinning big
Shad Gaspard in a Six-Man Tag Team Match pitting Ziggler and The Hart Dynasty against "Nobody" and Cryme Tyme.
Next week, Ziggler gets another chance to make a name for himself when he faces "Nobody" in a title match on SmackDown.
In the locker room, Josh Mathews interviews Rey Mysterio. Talk of Batista.
"The Glamazon" Beth Phoenix defeated Brittany Carter. Just like last week, Beth Phoenix chalked up a commanding victory over Brittany Carter.
The smart and sexy Diva is looking more powerful than ever, and one has to seriously question the chances of any Diva who steps in the ring
with The Glamazon.
Drew McIntyre defeated Jimmy Wang Yang. Before the match between Drew McIntyre and Jimmy Wang Yang even began, McIntyre attacked his opponent
from behind, knocking him out of the ring. When the match finally officially started, Yang offered little challenge for the fiery young
Superstar who put away the veteran with a devastating Double Underhook DDT.
Backstage, Josh Mathews interviews Batista who says he`ll hurt anyone who gets in his way of becoming World Heavyweight champion.
Rey Mysterio defeated Mike Knox. By defeating big Mike Knox with the 619, Rey Mysterio picked up major momentum for his Survivor Series match
with Batisa. (Preview) Both Mysterio and Batista talked with Josh Matthews about the growing rift between the two that began at WWE Bragging
Rights.
"Ghetto Trash" R-Truth defeated C.M. Punk. The frustration within ex-champion C.M. Punk continued to grow when The Straightedge Superstar was
defeated by "Ghetto Trash". Ironically, Punk set himself up for the loss when he demanded referee Scott Armstrong count faster with this
three-counts. While Punk continued to make demands of Armstrong, "Ghetto Trash" capitalized by throwing Punk to the canvas. With Punk down,
Armstrong did what he was asked to do and pounded out a fast three-count giving "Ghetto Trash" the win.
Backstage, Michelle McCool and Layla tell Mickie James she should leave Smackdown. Mickie says she will defeat McCool at upcoming Survivor Series.
Backstage, Josh Mathews interviews Matt Hardy who speaks of Batista.
Matt Hardy defeated Batista via a disqualification. Ever since failing to win the World Title at WWE Bragging Rights, Batista has turned into
a raging beast. Last week, Batista attacked Hardy from behind. In the night’s main event, Matt Hardy felt The Animal’s wrath once
again. After smashing Hardy into the announce table, Batista drove a TV monitor into his back. The vicious and painful assault earned Batista
an immediate disqualification.

Jolly Old England was transformed into a ferocious festival of aggressive assaults as the knights and rogues of SmackDown clashed just nine
days before Survivor Series.
C.M. Punk defeated "Ghetto Trash" R-Truth. One week after a fast count by aggravated WWE official Scott Armstrong cost C.M. Punk his match
against "Ghetto Trash", The Straightedge Superstar overcame "Ghetto Trash" with a little help from his surroundings. As "Ghetto Trash" was
escaping the GTS and attempting a counter pinfall, The Second City Saint suddenly dropped down upon him, clutching the ropes to secure his
three-count, just outside the official’s view.
Backstage, Layla tells Mickie James she should leave Smackdow. Mickie calls Layla, Scary Spice and says, what are you going to do Layla?
Go get Michelle?
Natalya Neidhart defeated Mickie James. Thanks to the treacherous actions of Women’s Champion Michelle McCool and Layla, Natalya triumphed
over Mickie James. Just as it looked as if Mickie was gaining the upper hand over The Hart Dynasty Diva, the devious duo appeared, proceeding
to destroy Mickie’s ring attire. Natalya used the distraction to lock in the excruciating Sharpshooter, giving her opponent no choice but to
submit.
Backstage, Josh Mathews interviews "Nobody". Talk of Dolph Ziggler and tonight`s championship match.
Drew McIntyre vs Fit Finlay ended in a double disqualification. Two weeks after McIntyre viciously attacked Finlay before the bell, the
Superstar that Mr. McMahon personally signed to SmackDown continued his rampage through Friday nights. After the official stopped his return
match with Finlay because neither Superstar would separate at his command, The Belfast Brawler attempted to call on his fateful shillelagh.
However, McIntyre quickly countered with an effective kick, delivering a menacing shillelagh assault of his own.
Survivor Series Contract Signing between Rey Mysterio and Batista turns volatile. Batista demanded that in addition to the standard Survivor
Series match contract, Rey Mysterio must sign a “Hold Harmless Agreement,” preventing legal action against The Animal for anything he might
do to his former comrade-in-arms when they meet at the Nov. 22 pay-per-view. After reluctantly signing it, The Ultimate Underdog proceeded to
flip the signing table over onto Batista, adding insult to injury as he stepped onto it while making his exit.
Intercontinental Champion John "Nobody" Morrison vs Dolph Ziggler ended in a double count out. Blinded by the pure intensity of battle,
Dolph Ziggler hurled both himself and "Nobody" off the top turnbuckle and out onto the floor. The impact of the fall assured than neither
Superstar would be able to answer the official’s count. The WWE Universe later learned that "Nobody" and Ziggler will return to settle things
next week during a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match, with "Nobody`s" prestigious Intercontinental Championship once again on the line.
Beth Phoenix defeated Lisa Taylor. For the third week in a row, “The Glamazon” decimated a local competitor, showing the full measure of her
dominance before finishing off Lisa Taylor with the earth-shattering Glam Slam.
Backstage, Josh Mathews interviews Chris Jericho. Talk of The Undertaker just being a man and that Jericho is the best in the World
and will beat Undertaker tonight.
World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker defeated Unified Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho. For the first time ever, the self-proclaimed
“best at what he does” went one-on-one with The Phenom. And in the climatic finish of an absolutely brutal battle that kept the United
Kingdom on the edge of their seats from the start, Undertaker ultimately reigned supreme with the dreaded Hell’s Gate. When Jericho’s
partner-in-gold, Big Show, attacked after the bell, the double-team drew the Big Red wrath of The Deadman’s brother, Kane.
Backstage, Vince is on the phone with Teddy Long, who is under the weather. Vince suggests that next week Jericho and The Big Show
should wrestle the reunited Brothers of Destruction. Long agrees. Vince tells Teddy he`s still on probation.

With Survivor Series just 48 hours away, all of SmackDown's Superstars were looking looking to be the last one standing amidst a feverish
rampage of brotherly destruction, animalistic rage, championship frenzy and Straightedge intervention that rocked Friday night to its very
core.
Dave Batista defeated Matt Hardy. An irate Batista roared onto SmackDown, focusing the full force of his relentless fury on Matt Hardy. After
executing three consecutive spinbusters, The Animal hit a vicious Batista Bomb for the decisive victory. He later declared that Rey Mysterio,
the source of his anger, would never again embarrass him the way he did last week, promising to decimate his former friend at the Survivor
Series.
Backstage, Josh Mathews interviews Batista. Talk of destroying Rey Mysterio this Sunday.
Backstage, Vince McMahon says that Vickie Guerrero is Teddy Long`s new consultant. Vickie is ecstatic while Teddy looks depressed.
Drew McIntyre defeated Fit Finlay. Despite an aggressive attack of pure retribution by The Belfast Brawler for McIntyre’s shillelagh assault
one week ago, The Scottish Superstar used a quick jab to the eye to set up his Double Arm Underhook DDT and walked away with the win.
C.M. Punk’s Straightedge Intervention. The Straightedge Superstar carried out a one-man Straightedge intervention on the WWE Universe,
attempting to show them “how to survive” by disposing of cigarettes, prescription pills, and alcohol into a metal trash can. However, his
efforts came to a sudden halt when R-Truth decided to carry out an intervention of his own. After knocking Punk to the ground, the rapping
Superstar emptying the contents of the trash can on top of Punk before using it to bash The Second City Saint in his rib cage.
Intercontinental John "Nobody" Morrison defeated Dolph Ziggler in 2-out-of-3 Falls Match for the Intercontinental Championship. Despite
suffering a major rib injury, The Guru of Greatness heroically rallied back to overcome Dolph Ziggler 2 falls to 1. Despite another
impressive effort from his confident challenger, "Nobody" closed the door on the hard fought battle for the gold with Starship Pain.
Mickie James defeated Layla. For the second week in a row, Women’s Champion Michelle McCool made Mickie James’ existence miserable on Friday
nights. After Mickie soundly defeated Layla, she was quickly introduced to Michelle’s personalized video version of “Old McDonald,” designed
to degrade the new SmackDown Diva with its starring character “Piggy James.” The insulting stunt left the former Women’s Champion crying in
the ring.
Tyson Kidd defeated Rey Mysterio by Disqualification. While Batista emanated silent intimidation from the broadcast table, Mysterio went
round and round with Tyson Kidd. But seconds after The Animal cost his former comrade-in-arms the match by disqualification, the masked
Superstar found an opening to dish out another humiliating hit-and-run attack on the Superstar he once called a brother. A completely enraged
Batista failed to catch Mysterio and was left with nothing but egg on his face for the second week in a row.
Backstage, Big Show questions Jericho as to his being scared of The Undertaker and Kane. Jericho denies it then Big Show turns out the
lights and Jericho is horrified.
World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker & Kane vs. Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show ended in a No Contest. The Brothers of
Destruction, two legendary forces of indescribable mayhem, remerged as one to take on Jericho and Big Show. However, the intense mega match
between four of WWE’s elite Superstars was destined to descend into absolute bedlam from the beginning. When The World’s Largest Athlete
stormed into the ring to break up The Deadman’s dreaded Hell’s Gate, he drew the wrath of The Big Red Machine, igniting an all out
free-for-all that left the official no choice but to declare a no-contest. When the smoke finally cleared, the squared circle anarchy had
taken its toll on all four combatants. And with both The Phenom and Kane down, Jericho seized the moment and delivered a surprise Codebreaker
to his own partner. The first-ever Undisputed WWE Champion snatched up the World Title and held it high above his head, sending a definitive
message that this Sunday’s pay-per-view will truly be every one for himself.

Unified Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho demands a golden opportunity. The self-proclaimed “best at what he does” strutted onto SmackDown,
not only to assure victory against D-Generation X for himself and Big Show at WWE TLC, but also to insist that SmackDown
General Manager Theodore Long place him in the No. 1 Contender’s Match for the World Heavyweight Championship. Instead, Long informed
Jericho that he would face The Undertaker later in the evening in a non-title match.
The Hart Dynasty defeated Cryme Tyme. The highly-skilled Hart Dynasty has been forged from greatness; trained in the famous Hart Dungeon;
bred into a simply glorious squared circle tradition of the elite Hart and Smith families. And just four short days after an impressive
outing against D-Generation X on Raw, David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd once again lived up to it all. In a tremendous performance against the
explosive Cryme Tyme - capped off by Hart Smith’s Saito Bomb on a distracted Shad - the pink and black warriors demonstrated the legendary
tag team skills inherited from the likes of The Hart Foundation and The British Bulldogs.
As the official consultant to SmackDown, Vickie Guerrero pushed Teddy Long into giving her boyfriend Eric Escobar
a title opportunity against John "Nobody" Morrison.
Matt Hardy defeated CM Punk via a disqualification. On his ongoing “crusade” to convert those in need to a straightedge lifestyle, The
Second City Saint completely shocked the WWE Universe by reintroducing a reformed Luke Gallows, formerly Festus. He explained that he has
gotten Gallows off the abusive drugs and away from the neglect that his family had enabled him with for so long. After Punk proclaimed
WWE Alumni Jeff Hardy’s soon to be released DVD “My Life My Rules,” a “dangerous, addictive new drug,” The Straightedge Superstar battled
Jeff’s brother, Matt Hardy. But just when it looked as if Hardy would rise above the former World Champion, the vicious Gallows unleashed
an unrelenting assault that left him motionless in the center of the ring.
Backstage, Josh Mathews interviews Mickie James. Mickie says she is going nowhere and staying on Smackdown.
Batista defeated Kane in a No. 1 Contender’s Match for the World Heavyweight Championship via a count out. This week on Monday Night Raw,
Batista walked away after Kane dared him to try and make “an example out of him”. But on Friday night, in a fierce clash of the titans to
determine the No. 1 Contender for The Deadman’s gold at WWE TLC, the rabid Animal instead charged forward. Although the combustible collision
between the two intimidating Superstars exerted pure intensity from start to finish, it was a single act of treachery that brought about its
explosive resolve. After being hurled over the barricade outside the ring, Batista used the obstructed view to hit The Big Red Machine in his
injured knee with a steel chair, rendering his opponent unable to answer the 10-count and winning himself another chance at the World
Champion’s title.
Intercontinental Champion John "Nobody" Morrison defeated Eric Escobar in an Intercontinental Championship Match.
As fast as Escobar got his foot in the door, "Nobody" slammed it shut again, defeating Escobar with Starship Pain.
The outraged Vickie Guerrero then terminated her relationship with Eric Escobar, screaming, slapping, and spitting her way back into the
single scene; declaring in no uncertain terms that she was through with him.
Backstage, Eric Escobar launched his own barrage of insulting retorts onto the livid SmackDown consultant, telling Vickie they are done.
World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker defeated Unified Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho via a disqualification. The new No. 1 Contender for
the World Heavyweight Championship, The Animal Batista, later invited himself to the broadcast table, silently taking stock as The Phenom
battled Jericho in a high-octane main event. But just when it looked like The Demon of Death Valley was about to Tombstone his way to
victory, The Animal attacked. After causing Jericho to lose by disqualification, Batista added to the first-ever Undisputed WWE Champion’s
post-match Codebreaker on the war-torn Deadman with a vicious chair assault.

"Ghetto Trash" defeated C.M. Punk via a disqualification. Following the vicious “Straightedge intervention” by Luke Gallows, Punk and the
Superstar formally known as Festus absolutely decimated "Ghetto Trash", with no regard for the match that had been taking place between
"Ghetto Trash" and The Second City Saint.
Kane defeated Mike Knox. Incensed by unrestrained rage, The Big Red Machine ripped through the sadistic Knox with a brutal chokeslam.
Backstage, Josh Mathews interviews "Jeri-Show". Chris Jericho mouths off about himself, as usual and The Big Show says nothing.
Mickie James defeated Beth Phoenix and Natalya in a Triple Threat Match to decide the No. 1 Contender to the Women’s Championship. As Women’s
Champion Michelle McCool and Layla sat ringside, Mickie James overcame both Beth Phoenix and Natalya to become the No. 1 Contender to the
gold. After Natalya put Mickie in the Sharpshooter, The Fabulous Firebird grabbed the opportunity to execute a Glam Slam on the occupied
Dungeon-trained Diva. But when Beth went for the victory, Mickie suddenly knocked her from the ring, capturing the huge win for herself,
along with the hope of becoming the Women’s Champion for the fifth time.
Maria returns! After the bell, Josh Mathews interviews Mickie James. A fed-up Mickie confronted Michelle, hurling the Champion back into her chair.
This sparked a double-team attack by Michelle and Layla, which lit the fuse for an explosive rescue by the returning Maria.
Backstage, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long informs Batista that he will be facing Rey Mysterio next week in a Street Fight Match,
where there will be no rules. The two former friends have not stepped into the ring with each other since The Animal annihilated The Master
of the 619 at Survivor Series.
Backstage, Matt Hardy plays Raw vs Smackdown 2010 while John "Nobody' Morrison talks of how he will beat Drew McIntyre, next.
Drew McIntyre defeated Intercontinental Champion John "Nobody" Morrison. Moments after yanking the unsuspecting "Nobody" into the exposed,
metal ring support structure outside the ring, the Scottish Superstar picked up the biggest win of his career, reigning supreme over "Nobody"
with his patented Double Underhook DDT. With the triumph, the ruthless combatant who was personally signed by Mr. McMahon thrusts himself
into major title contention.
In the ring, Excuse me, Excuse Me, I Said Excuse Me. Official SmackDown Consultant Vickie Guerrero demanded an apology from her
ex-boyfriend Eric Escobar for the public humiliation about her personal hygiene that she had suffered one week ago.
But when Escobar decided to ridicule her further, Vickie used her power to put him in a Handicap Match against The Hart Dynasty as
retribution.
The Hart Dynasty defeated Eric Escobar in a Handicap Match. Though Escobar did the best he could,
the explosive tag team specialists proved to be too much for him, finishing him off with The Hart Attack off the top rope.
Afterward, Guerrero added insult to injury with a humiliating slap to her former beau.
Backstage, Josh Mathews interviews Luke Gallows, C.M. Punk at his side, who speaks out about his straightedge transformation.
Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show defeated Cryme Tyme. Just seconds after the self-proclaimed “best at what he does”
tagged-in his gigantic partner in gold, The World’s Largest Athlete leveled the emerging Shad with a devastating right jab, winning the
match with single punch. The overwhelming victory sent shock waves through the WWE Universe and a strong statement to Jeri-Show’s Tables,
Ladders & Chairs Match opponents at WWE TLC, D-Generation X.
World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker attempted to call out Batista. After suffering Batista’s brutal chair attack during his match with
Chris Jericho one week ago, The Demon of Death Valley emerged to call-out his WWE TLC Chairs Match challenger. But, before he could get to
the ring, The Animal launched another surprise attack on The Deadman from behind, wielding his steel weapon-of-choice ferociously as he
unleashed an all out massacre upon The Phenom. He then raised the fallen Undertaker’s World Title high above his head, showcasing the full
extent of his resolve to end his adversary’s reign of terror at WWE TLC.

IT`S ALL ABOUT ME
With WWE TLC just two days away – where tables, ladders and chairs are all legal – SmackDown played host to its own anything-goes-war in an
epic Street Fight between Rey Mysterio and Batista, which saw World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker enter the fray.
At the start of the night, Batista made it clear to the WWE Universe that he didn't care if they booed him. After demanding a spotlight be
placed on him, he claimed that he never needed fans, Rey Mysterio, Evolution, or anybody else. Instead, he proclaimed that it was all about
him and already declared himself “World Heavyweight Champion Batista."
C.M. Punk & Luke Gallows defeated Matt Hardy & "Ghetto Trash" R-Truth. While The Second City Saint continued to speak vehemently against the
new WWE DVD: “Jeff Hardy: My Life, My Rules,” Matt Hardy and "Ghetto Trash" chose to give out free copies, before sending “The Straightedge
Savior” out of the ring with a pre-match microphone to the head. But, once the match got underway, the “once lost” Luke Gallows found victory
for himself and Punk by defeating Hardy with the devastating Twelve Steps.
Backstage, Eric Escobar once again insults Vickie Guerrero, while Teddy Long tries not to smile too much, Vickie says that Eric will wrestle
Chris Jericho tonight.
Backstage, Mike Knox asks Kane for another match tonight, telling Kane he liked wrestling him last time. Kane gladly accepts.
Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show defeated Eric Escobar in a Handicap Match. Shortly after punishing Eric Escobar by
putting him in a match against Unified Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho, SmackDown Official Consultant Vickie Guerrero interrupted the
action to inform her ex-boyfriend that he would also be facing Jericho’s gigantic tag team partner, Big Show. Although Escobar did his best
in his second Handicap Match in two weeks, the combined force of the dominant duo was too much to withstand, as he fell victim to the
infamous Walls of Jericho.
Intercontinental John "Nobody" Morrison faced off with Drew McIntyre. One week after Drew McIntyre pinned "Nobody" in non-title action,
he came to the ring to discuss their WWE TLC Title Match and refute "Nobody`s" popularity. Much to the No. 1 contender’s chagrin,
"Nobody" came forth to meet him dressed as Braveheart’s William Wallace. “The Chosen One” took "Nobody`s" humorous actions as major
disrespect to his culture, daring him to put down the sword he was wielding. "Nobody" soon answered the challenge and things erupted into
an all-out brawl, ending with McIntyre being expelled from the ring.
Kane defeated Mike Knox. Despite losing to Kane last week, the sadistic Knox asked his horrifying opponent for another match, claiming that
he liked locking horns with The Big Red Machine. Though Kane once again triumphed with the chokeslam, the merciless tenaciousness of the
demented Knox helped create a battle of pure monstrous mayhem between the two frightening Superstars.
Mickie James & Maria defeated Women’s Champion Michelle McCool & Layla. In the fast-paced climax to the clash between the smart, sexy, and
powerful Divas of SmackDown, Mickie sent Layla hurling into Women's Champion Michelle McCool, before rolling the English Diva up for a major
tag team triumph.
Dave Batista defeated Rey Mysterio in a Street Fight. The Animal went one-on-one with Rey Mysterio in a brutal Street Fight. After a furious
battle, Batista reigned supreme over his former comrade-in-arms with a combination spear, spinebuster and chair blast. After the match, the
No. 1 contender to the World Heavyweight Championship attempted to continue his assault on Mysterio. But, The Deadman emerged with furious
vengeance in his eyes, executing his own brand of dark retribution just two days before their World Title Chair Match.

REY IS NUMBER 1
World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker walked out of WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs with the “Holy Grail” of the squared circle still
firmly in his grasp. But just when it looked as if the SmackDown stage was destined for a second-coming showdown between The Phenom and
Batista, the unrelenting spirit of one Superstar changed the path of Christmas future forever.
Friday night began in a fury of Animalistic rage as Batista interrupted SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long, demanding a rematch with
World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker following the GM’s controversial actions at WWE TLC. However, when Rey Mysterio emerged to challenge
the irate Animal, Teddy Long declared that the two former comrades-in-arms would face each other, with the winner becoming the No. 1
Contender to the World Title, challenging The Undertaker Christmas Night!
Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre, CM Punk, & Luke Gallows defeated John "Nobody" Morrison, Matt Hardy & "Ghetto Trash" R-Truth. The
self-proclaimed “Chosen One” Drew McIntyre returned from WWE TLC the new Intercontinental Champion. But when bedlam took over in the
Six-Man Tag Team Match he was involved in, it was Luke Gallows that found the way to win. The Superstar formally known as Festus used
his new-found focus to pass CM Punk’s 2009 Slammy Award directly to “his savior.” This allowed The Second City Saint to smash Matt Hardy
in the abdomen and claim victory for his team.
Backstage, Mickie James and Maria are paid a visit by Beth Phoenix who tells Maria she will be wrestling her tonight.
Kane defeated Eric Escobar. In her unrelenting pursuit to punish Eric Escobar for his continued barrage of colorful insults, Official
SmackDown Consultant Vickie Guerrero gave her ex-boyfriend a Big, Red birthday present in the form Kane. Though Escobar continued to stand
up against Guerrero’s insurmountable opposition for the third week in a row, he fell short at the hands of his frightening adversary’s
vicious chokeslam. However, after withstanding another brutal beating, Escobar still managed to ridicule Guerrero after the match, much to the
delight of the WWE Universe.
The Great Khali defeated Chris Jericho via a count out. Chris Jericho appeared before the WWE Universe in a completely disillusioned state,
returning to SmackDown after a very hard week. Just one day after he and Big Show lost the Unified Tag Team Championships to D-Generation X
at WWE TLC, DX tricked the previously dominant duo out of their rematch and unceremoniously kicked the self proclaimed “Face of SmackDown”
unceremoniously off Monday Night Raw. Jericho attempted to turn his luck around on SmackDown as he faced the returning Great Khali. However,
after diving out of the ring to escape the Punjabi Plunge, Jericho decided not to return, handing his huge opponent a huge return victory.
The Hart Dynasty defeated Jimmy Wang Yang & Slam Master J. Despite an explosive effort by their opponents, David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd
reigned supreme over Yang & Slam Master J with the combined help of Natalya and The Hart Attack. Once again, The Hart Dynasty utilized their
amazing tag team skills and cunning quick-thinking forged in the legendary Hart Dungeon.
On Christmas Night, D-Generation X will come to SmackDown to present a special DX Christmas.
But The Hart Dynasty hopes to overshadow it with their own celebration.
As the next generation of Hart Superstars will challenge DX for the Unified Tag Team Championships,
they promised to settle a score that has existed for more than a decade by taking the illustrious titles away from The Game & HBK.
Backstage, Michelle and Layla try to buddy up with Beth Phoenix, by making insults about Mickie James. Beth doesn`t like Michelle or Layla
either.
Beth Phoenix defeated Maria. Although the 2009 Slammy Award winning Diva of the Year Maria made a spirited effort in her match against
Beth Phoenix, the irresistible force of The Fabulous Firebird dominated, paving the way for her earth-shattering Glam Slam and the victory.
Rey Mysterio defeated Batista in a No. 1 Contender’s Match for the World Heavyweight Championship. No matter what punishment Batista threw
Mysterio’s way in the grueling main event, The Master of the 619 with the heart of a lion simply refused to be beaten. Then, from out of
nowhere, the WWE Universe erupted into a mad frenzy as the masked Superstar overcame the odds, using a sudden small package to snatch the
win from his bewildered adversary. As a result of his huge triumph, Rey Mysterio will challenge The Undertaker for the World Heavyweight
Championship on Christmas Night.

DX-MAS NIGHT
On Christmas Night, it was Unified Tag Team Champions DX and Rey Mysterio who closed out 2009 on a high note, looking much better than all of
their rivals.
Backstage, Vickie Guerrero and Teddy Long are in a kitchen type setting and Vickie is preparing a Christmas dinner.
Teddy insults her cooking and Hornswoggle spoils the dinner by eating the turkey.
John Morrison, R-Truth, Matt Hardy & Finlay defeated CM Punk, Luke Gallows, Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre & Dolph Ziggler. With a host
of rivalries intertwined in one match, the WWE Universe was treated to an action-packed eight-man tag match to kick off the night. After a
competitive battle from both sides, it was John Morrison who picked up the win for his team by hitting Starship Pain on Dolph Ziggler. As the
No. 1 Contender, John Morrison will take on Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre in a title match next week on SmackDown.
Backstage, Women’s Champion Michelle McCool and Layla continued in their mean-spirited ways of hurling insults at Mickie James.
They gave Mickie a Jenny Craig gift certificate.
Backstage, Josh Mathews interviews Rey Mysterio who talks of tonight`s match against The Undertaker.
World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker vs Rey Mysterio ended in a No Contest. For the first time ever, World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker
defended his title against Rey Mysterio on SmackDown. After a brutal chokeslam, it looked like The Deadman had Mysterio right where he wanted.
But then from out of nowhere, a raging Batista intervened, hitting The Phenom with a spinebuster. Capitalizing on the downed champ, Mysterio
stunned the champion with the 619. Seizing the moment, The Animal dropped Undertaker with a hard-hitting spear. The chaos reached its climax
when Mysterio hit Batista with the 619 and crushed him with a seated senton. After the dust settled, it was The Ultimate Underdog who escaped
relatively unscathed, leaving Undertaker and Batista reeling from his lightning-fast assault.
Backstage, Cryme Tyme got in the Christmas spirit by relieving a “bad Santa” of his toys in the locker room area and re-gifting them to
excited members of the WWE Universe.
Cryme Tyme defeated Bryce Andrews & Pat Buck. Cryme Tyme swiftly asserted their dominance in the contest. Using his massive power, Shad
tossed one challenger out of the ring, then effortlessly lifted the other atop his shoulders, setting him up perfectly for the devastating
G-9 from JTG.
Backstage, Vickie and Teddy both have pies for desert which Hornswoggle throws in the face of both of them.
Hornswoggle then sticks his face in the puch bowl to enjoy some egg nog.
Mickie James & Maria defeated Beth Phoenix & Layla. Mickie was able to focus and get the pinfall over Layla, giving her and Maria the
victory. Then, after the bell, the fired-up Mickie headed straight for McCool, who was seated with the announce team. But before Mickie could
get to her rival, Beth Phoenix attacked from behind, slamming Mickie onto the announce table. Reveling in the attack, Michelle stood over her
fallen rival and engaged in a stare down with The Glamazon. Despite the tension in the air, the Christmas clashing had come to an end.
With DX looking on, The Hart Dynasty attacked Chris Jericho. In the ring, The Hart Dynasty and Chris Jericho traded verbal barbs over who
should be No. 1 Contenders to DX. Appearing on the arena screen, DX poked fun at their challengers, including offering The Hart Dynasty a
one-way, paid trip back to Canada. But, it was Jericho who suffered the ultimate insult when David Hart Smith and Tyson Kidd drove him into
the canvas, leaving him writing in pain.
Unified Tag Team Champions DX defeated The Hart Dynasty. In their first title defense since winning the Unified Tag Team Championship, DX came to
SmackDown to take on The Hart Dynasty. The champions were looking to continue the Christmas cheer they spread on Monday Night Raw. After a
competitive contest, it was DX who reigned supreme when HBK hit David Hart Smith with some holiday Sweet Chin Music, followed up by a
devastating pedigree from Triple H.
